“Stop dragging your feet. Just take it. If I find out you lost this pouch one day, you’ll be in trouble.” Zhu Xiaohong said, shoving the pouch into Mo Wen's hands before turning and heading into the cabin, leaving Mo Wen standing there in a daze.
“What the…” Mo Wen sighed, reluctantly putting the pouch away. Although he didn’t understand what it meant, he felt it was far-fetched to think that a simple pouch could lead him to himself, as Zhu Xiaohong claimed.
In the following days, Zhu Xiaohong shed her bossy demeanor. She either played with Xiao Hei or sat on the boat daydreaming. Most of the time, she clung to Mo Wen, discussing her future plans. This made Mo Wen realize that he had never truly considered his own future; until now, he had been taking things one step at a time.
“I warn you, don’t mention that you’ve seen me when we meet my father.” As they passed through the entrance and approached Huo Lou's dock, Zhu Xiaohong decided to part ways with Mo Wen. She didn’t want anyone to see her with a strange man, especially not her father.
“Alright, you’ve warned me many times already. Besides, if you say we were together and your father comes looking for his daughter, what do I do?” Mo Wen nodded in agreement. Zhu Xiaohong had warned him repeatedly along the way. Initially, he was against her decision to separate, but after confirming that this girl wouldn’t turn back to Lava Sea, he felt relieved. To be safe, they agreed that Zhu Xiaohong would go ahead first. This way, even if she wanted to return to Lava Sea, she would notice.
“Boss, I think that woman has taken a liking to you.” After watching Zhu Xiaohong leave, Xing Zhou casually remarked something that caught Mo Wen off guard.
“Shut up! What does this boss have that she could possibly like?” Mo Wen waved at Zhu Xiaohong’s departing figure and suddenly felt a sense of loss wash over him. It seemed he was about to return to a state of emptiness and loneliness. Although Zhu Xiaohong was a bit wild, there was no denying she was a stunning beauty… Ugh! His thoughts were being led astray by Xiao Hei.

His appearance was quite conspicuous; safety was paramount, especially since it was unclear how Old Zhu felt about him. If Zhu Xiaohong mentioned him to her father… Clearly, he was overthinking it; if Zhu Xiaohong were going to talk about it, she wouldn’t have repeatedly warned him not to mention having seen her. Moreover, Mo Wen realized he had indeed thought too much; after returning, Zhu Xiaohong hadn’t even met Old Zhu before going into seclusion.
Now Nameless Town had expanded significantly compared to before; each time Lava Storm passed through, Nameless Town would bustle for decades afterward.
