I smiled awkwardly and said, "I just didn't sleep well."
Xiao Chu looked at me suspiciously. "Really?"
I nodded seriously. "Really."
Xiao Chu sighed. "If you don't want to work, you can go to the break room and sleep."
"Just don't disturb others here."
I gratefully nodded. "Thank you!"
After saying that, I took my yoga mat and laid it out under the conference table, then lay down and closed my eyes.
Perhaps because I was too tired, I quickly drifted off to sleep.
At that moment, a familiar voice echoed in my ears.
"Is the person you like... me?"
"If so... that would be nice..."
I couldn't help but frown, then opened my eyes and sat up.
Only then did I realize that there was no one in the conference room.

Could I have misheard?
Just as I was about to lie down and continue sleeping, a pair of shiny leather shoes appeared in front of me.
Looking up, I was surprised to see Chen Kun!
He crouched down to meet my gaze, a slight smile on his lips.
I jumped in surprise. "President Chen?"
Chen Kun smiled. "You're awake?"
I awkwardly nodded. "What are you doing here?"
Chen Kun pointed to the folder on the table. "I came to find something."
He squatted down and looked at me. "I was just about to call you."
"And then I heard you talking in your sleep."
I was taken aback. "I talked in my sleep?"
Chen Kun nodded. "Yeah."
"What did I say that was so interesting?"
I smiled awkwardly.
Chen Kun grinned mysteriously. "Guess."
I paused for a moment.
Could it be that I really was talking in my sleep?
Just then, Chen Kun spoke up again.
"Go on, guess."
I chuckled nervously. "I can't guess."
Chen Kun smiled. "Then I'll just tell you."
He leaned closer to my ear and whispered something.
Instantly, my face turned red.
"President Chen, I…"
Chen Kun chuckled. "No need to explain."
"I already know."
I smiled awkwardly again. "What do you know?"
I was momentarily stunned, then stood up.
Chen Kun stood up as well.
"President Chen, I'm going back to work now."
With that, I turned to leave.
Chen Kun grabbed my arm.
"Wait a moment."
I paused for a second, "What's wrong?"
Chen Kun pointed to the sofa in the conference room. "I'm a bit tired."
"I want to take a break."
I smiled awkwardly. "Then I won't disturb your rest."
I turned to leave again.
Chen Kun pulled my arm once more.
"Why don't you keep me company for a while?"
I hesitated, then nodded. "Alright."
I lay down on the sofa and closed my eyes.
Chen Kun also lay down on the sofa and shut his eyes.
At that moment, he suddenly spoke up.
"You come here to sleep quite often."
I was taken aback for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah."
Chen Kun smiled. "Every time, it's me who turns on the air conditioning for you."
I was surprised. "What?"
Chen Kun nodded. "Yeah."
"You always snore after you fall asleep."
I smiled awkwardly again. "I'm sorry if I disturbed you."
Chen Kun shook his head. "It's nothing."
"But..."
I paused for a moment. "But what?"
Chen Kun smiled. "Do you often dream about me?"
I awkwardly laughed. "No, not at all."
Chen Kun sighed. "Then who is the person you mentioned in your dreams?"
I was taken aback and my face turned red.
"President Chen, actually I..."
Chen Kun waved his hand. "You don't need to explain."
"I already know."
I awkwardly chuckled. "What do you know?"
Chen Kun smiled mysteriously. "Guess."
I was momentarily stunned, then stood up.
Chen Kun stood up as well.
"President Chen, I need to get back to work."
With that, I turned and walked away.
