The two fighters at the foot of the mountain were too engrossed in their battle to pay any attention to the onlookers at the summit. They had been locked in combat for half an hour, exchanging blows with brute force and no technique, each taking turns to strike.
"Kid, it’s time to end this!" Di Xuejiang said, eyeing Mo Wen. Even with his strength as a Jade Body Realm practitioner, he was starting to feel the strain after such a prolonged exchange. The kid opposite him was clearly no match for him and was already panting heavily. Di Xuejiang wanted to finish this quickly to avoid drawing the attention of those in the city.
"It is time to end it. I really don’t know how you managed to cultivate to Jade Body Realm; you seem so weak!" Mo Wen replied, taking a moment to catch his breath. Most of his panting was feigned, intended to deceive his opponent into underestimating him. However, Di Xuejiang had yet to show any signs of weakness.
"Then let me show you the true power of Jade Body Realm!" Di Xuejiang unleashed his aura, channeling the Law of Power into his curved blade. In an instant, a whirlwind formed around him, lifting snowflakes from the ground and coalescing into a white snow dragon.
"Not bad! Wind Law, huh? But I wonder if your beast-like body can keep up," Mo Wen remarked, though he felt a sense of gravity in his eyes. The gap between Jade Body Realm and his own Ning Shen Realm was not merely two realms apart; it was a significant leap. With Jade Body Realm's ability to project its Law outward, he was unsure if Di Xuejiang was conserving strength or if his foundation was weaker than expected. Regardless, he needed to be cautious; if he were injured, even if he managed to defeat Di Xuejiang, the other two would easily take him down.
"Kid! It’s over!" With a sweep of his curved blade, the wind whipped up the snow into a dragon that charged straight at Mo Wen. Di Xuejiang felt confident as he unleashed both a visible and hidden attack; under such coordinated strikes, even if Mo Wen survived, he would be gravely injured—at which point even an ordinary person could finish him off.
As they watched the battle below take a sudden turn, those on the mountain grew tense. "Shopkeeper Gao, it seems we might have made this trip for nothing," one remarked. Everyone understood the disparity between Jade Body Realm and Ning Shen Realm; there was no way that kid could fight effectively across such a large gap. Surviving would be impressive enough; winning seemed impossible.
Gao Xue'e clenched her fists tightly. Seeing Di Xuejiang go all out made her anxious; fighting across realms wasn’t impossible but required an element of surprise. Yet it seemed that Mo Wen had no intention of employing such tactics and was instead facing Di Xuejiang head-on.
"Not necessarily! Everyone watch closely; we’ve come this far, so what’s a little more time?" Gu Liu Yun said as his furrowed brow relaxed. After observing for some time, he finally realized that Mo Wen hadn’t yet shown his full strength; in his view, Mo Wen could at least evade this attack.
"This... how is this possible?" Di Xuejiang's attack abruptly halted as disbelief washed over him; he couldn’t believe he had been injured instead. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and stared at Mo Wen, who should have been severely wounded by now.
"Didn’t your Old Ancestor tell you that divine attacks shouldn’t be used recklessly?" Mo Wen thought to himself as he sensed Di Xuejiang’s divine attack coming. He felt reassured; if Di Xuejiang relied solely on Law attacks against him, victory would require effort. However, once he unleashed his divine technique, victory would be assured—whether through Old Qilin's locking technique or his own Divine Sea abilities, he held absolute confidence in himself.
