The Cloud Mist Forest, in those days, was merely a trial ground for entry-level disciples, while the Yan Luo River served as the moat for the Sect. The strength of the Sect was beyond what a few individuals could imagine today. Yet, this mighty Sect completely vanished during the Great Catastrophe. For many years, people have been searching for its traces, not only to uncover the origins of the Great Catastrophe but primarily for the Sect's legacy. It is believed that such a powerful force must have had special means to preserve part of its heritage. Even if the Sect was destroyed, if someone from future generations could find these remnants, it would still be a form of continuation for the Sect. This is somewhat similar to the Xuantian Sect, although at that time, Xuantian Sect was considered an unusual existence.
Mo Wen realized that the information Qiu Hao spoke of was limited to legends and lacked solid evidence. Even if it were true, their current status would not allow them to compete for such treasures.
"Brother Qiu, forgive me for speaking frankly, but given our current situation, even if we truly find those inherited treasures, I fear..." Mo Wen voiced his concerns.
"Hahaha! Brother He is right; such hidden treasures are beyond our reach. What we are looking for this time is not the hidden relics of the Sect but rather a type of medicinal herb that grows within the ruins," Qiu Hao laughed heartily.
"Medicinal herb? Isn’t that also a rare item?"
"Indeed, it is rare, but to those great powers, it is nothing significant. It is said that this herb can repair our meridians and Dan Tian, and even improve our meridians to make future cultivation smoother." As he spoke, a look of longing appeared on Qiu Hao's face.
"Moreover, the most important thing is that those great powers are currently unaware of this herb's existence. This is also why Brother He insisted on keeping it a secret. Once others learn about this herb, our hopes will vanish into thin air and we may even invite disaster upon ourselves. I dare say this because this herb was discovered by a person who had been crippled in martial arts. A thousand years ago, he was rendered powerless and in despair prepared to enter the Gobi Desert to seek death. By chance, he stumbled upon a peculiar flower in a ruin and mistook it for a poisonous flower. Having failed in his attempt to end his life, he decided to consume this flower instead. After taking it, he fell into a coma and thought he would finally find relief; however, when he awoke, he found that he had regained some cultivation."
At this point, Qiu Hao appeared quite excited as if he were recounting his own experience.
"Unfortunately, when this senior awoke, he found himself lost in the vast Gobi Desert with no trace of any ruins around him; yet his newfound cultivation was real. Later on, relying on his memory, he recorded his experience and the appearance of that medicinal herb. He made several attempts to return to the Gobi in search of the ruins from that day but regrettably found that they seemed never to have existed at all. Eventually, that senior passed away." From Qiu Hao's expression, it seemed that he had some connection with this senior.
"You guessed correctly; that senior does indeed have some ties to me, which is why I know about this matter," Qiu Hao glanced at everyone with eyes that revealed he had never shared this before.
"Do others know about this?" Mo Wen asked curiously; if others were aware of it too, then there would be no secret left.
"I cannot say whether anyone else has had similar experiences; however, from what we have gathered so far, it appears that what others refer to as hope does not point to this peculiar flower but rather to the Sect's inheritance."
