Although the guests present did not understand the intricacies of medicine, they were captivated by the competition and applauded enthusiastically. Taking advantage of the moment, Nangong Shuang observed Xiao Yu Yan's reaction and noticed a spark in her eyes that was markedly different from before, as if she had confirmed something significant.

Just as Nangong Shuang was about to approach her, she suddenly sensed someone closing in from behind. She quickly turned around to find a figure in black standing silently behind her, their face obscured by shadows.
"Who are you?" Nangong Shuang asked warily, gripping a silver needle tightly in her hand.
The figure remained silent for a moment before slowly producing an Azure Dragon Jade Pendant—the very one Xiao Cha had discovered in the back garden!
"Is this your pendant?" Nangong Shuang asked with confusion but did not lower her guard.
"The young lady saved my sister; the Azure Dragon Gang is immensely grateful." The figure finally spoke, their voice deep and somewhat magnetic. "This pendant is a token of gratitude and an emblem of our alliance."
Nangong Shuang's eyes widened in realization. "Lan Yuyan is your sister? You are from the Azure Dragon Gang?"
"Indeed," the figure nodded. "I am Lan Tianxiao, the young master of the Azure Dragon Gang. My sister Xiao Yu Yan fell into misfortune and nearly got abducted by human traffickers; it was thanks to you that she was rescued."
As he spoke, he handed the pendant to Nangong Shuang. "This Azure Dragon Token is my pledge; possessing it allows you to move freely in the capital and seek assistance from the Azure Dragon Gang when needed."
Nangong Shuang hesitated to accept it and cautiously asked, "Why does Young Master Lan express such gratitude? Merely for saving your sister seems insufficient for you to personally deliver this."
Lan Tianxiao paused for a moment before replying slowly, "Your medical skills are extraordinary; your formula is pure and your techniques refined—clearly a product of true Nangong Family teachings. The Nangong Family has historical ties with my Azure Dragon Gang. If you are indeed a descendant of Nangong, my Azure Dragon Gang would certainly offer our full support."
At these words, Nangong Shuang's heart raced! Lan Tianxiao had seen through her identity! However, recalling that Xiao Yu Yan had also recognized the name and effects of Dinghun San earlier made it clear that there were indeed connections between the Azure Dragon Gang and the Nangong Family.
"You misunderstand me," Nangong Shuang said without confirming or denying anything. "I am merely a country doctor who learned from an old physician living in seclusion; how could I possibly be related to the Nangong Family?"
Lan Tianxiao smiled slightly. "I may have been presumptuous. Nevertheless, regardless of who you are, saving a life is an obligation that cannot go unacknowledged. Nangong Shuang felt a stir of concern. "Do you know who is investigating old matters regarding the Nangong Family?"
"This is a long story," Lan Tianxiao said meaningfully as he looked at her. "In short, ever since His Highness expressed doubts about the Nangong Family Case, someone has begun covertly investigating with the intent to uncover clues and witnesses related to the case."
