Before long, a figure in white appeared silently beneath a plum tree. The moonlight outlined his tall figure, exuding elegance—it was Xiao Zhongyan.
"The young lady has arrived," Xiao Zhongyan said with a slight bow, his voice gentle. "Thank you for coming."
Nangong Shuang nodded indifferently. "Young Master Xiao has summoned me at this late hour; it must be something important."
Xiao Zhongyan's gaze lingered on Nangong Shuang for a moment as if confirming something before he spoke softly. "At today's banquet, my brother was also present; I believe you have met him."

This aligned with the information provided by Lan Tianxiao, further confirming for Nangong Shuang that Xiao Zhongmo was indeed her enemy.
"What about you, Young Master Xiao? What is your stance?" Nangong Shuang looked directly into Xiao Zhongyan's eyes. "Why do you want to help me?"
Xiao Zhongyan remained silent for a moment before slowly responding. "I have some ties to the Nangong Family.
