Thinking back to when I mistakenly believed that Fang Bo had a girlfriend and even blocked him for several days, I felt a wave of guilt wash over me.
I lowered my head, my face flushed, and murmured, "I'm... I'm sorry."
Fang Bo sighed, "Can you please unblock me?"
"Okay," I replied, still blushing.
I then picked up my phone and unblocked Fang Bo.
He ruffled my hair and said helplessly, "You can't do that again next time."
"Okay," I answered, my cheeks still warm.
Ever since the misunderstanding was cleared up, Fang Bo and I had grown closer.
It was a weekend day.
Fang Bo invited me to go hiking.
The scenery on the mountain was beautiful, and the air was fresh.
I held onto Fang Bo's hand tightly all the way, afraid of falling.
When we reached halfway up the mountain, I started to feel exhausted.
Fang Bo stood by, waiting for me, and said helplessly, "Are you okay?"
I shook my head. "I can't go on..."
He sighed. "Then I'll go ahead first."
I nodded. "Alright."
To my surprise, Fang Bo suddenly squatted down and lifted me onto his back.
I lay against him, wrapping my arms around his neck.
Fang Bo felt warm, and I could sense his solid muscles even through his clothes.
"You're so light; you should eat more," he said, tilting his head to look at me.
His warm breath brushed against my face, making my cheeks flush.
"You are heavy too!" I retorted, feeling a bit dissatisfied.
"Yes, yes, I am heavy," he replied with a laugh.
And so, Fang Bo carried me step by step up the mountain.
When we reached the summit, I was stunned by the breathtaking view before me.
"Wow—"
I sat in the rain shelter, my gaze completely captivated by the distant mountains.
"It's so beautiful!"
Fang Bo sat beside me, looking at me with a hint of helplessness.
"Yes, yes, but the most beautiful one is still my girlfriend."
My cheeks flushed, and I playfully punched him lightly.
"You’re such a tease."
Fang Bo smiled and pulled me into his embrace.
I nestled in his arms, my gaze fixed on the distant mountain scenery.
There we sat, Fang Bo and I, enjoying the beautiful view from the rain shelter.
Suddenly, the sky opened up, and rain began to pour.
Fang Bo and I stepped out from the shelter to seek refuge inside it again.
As I stood there watching the curtain of rain outside, my foot slipped unexpectedly.
"Ah—"
I gasped, my body uncontrollably lunging forward.
In the next moment, I fell onto Fang Bo.
"Hiss—"
He let out a muffled groan, wrapping his arms tightly around me.
"Are you okay?"
I blushed as I climbed off him, feeling embarrassed. "I'm sorry..."
Fang Bo curled his lips, his expression enigmatic as he said, "It's nothing."
After a pause, he frowned and added, "This rain isn't going to stop anytime soon. Let's go find an umbrella and head down the mountain."
"Okay," I replied, my cheeks flushed.
Just as we were about to leave the shelter from the rain, a rustling sound suddenly came from the bushes.
Fang Bo and I exchanged a glance, a wave of unease washing over us.
"Wait here. I'll go take a look," Fang Bo said with a frown.
"Alright," I responded nervously.
With that, Fang Bo stepped into the bushes to investigate.
I stood anxiously in the shelter, waiting for him.
Five minutes passed...
Ten minutes passed...
Fifteen minutes passed...
Half an hour passed...
Fang Bo still hadn't returned!
I felt a surge of anxiety and decided I couldn't wait any longer.
I took my phone, turned on the flashlight, and ventured into the bushes searching for Fang Bo.
"Fang Bo!"
"Fang Bo!"
"Fang Bo!"
"…"
I continued to walk step by step along the path.
It wasn't long before I spotted a figure hanging from a tree not far away.
I was startled and approached cautiously, only to realize that the figure was indeed Fang Bo!
At this moment, he was hanging on the edge of a cliff!
