Why didn’t my mom question Fang Bo?
The next day.
After Fang Bo dropped me off at home, I didn’t rush inside but sat on a bench downstairs with him to chat.
“What did you talk about with my mom?” I asked curiously.
“Nothing much, just some casual conversation,” Fang Bo replied nonchalantly.
I looked at him suspiciously. “Really?”
Fang Bo paused for a moment. “Well... something like that.”
I was somewhat skeptical of his words, but I didn’t press further.
Just then, Fang Bo suddenly spoke up.
“Actually, I’ve known you for a long time.”
I was taken aback. “What do you mean?”
Fang Bo smiled slightly. “Do you remember the first time you went to the Fire Brigade?”
“Of course! What about it?” I asked, puzzled.
Fang Bo said meaningfully, “That day, I asked you what your name was.”
“Yeah... I think so! Why?” I still didn’t understand.
Fang Bo chuckled. “After that day, I started thinking about what name would sound nice for you, so I asked around in the team to find out your name.”
“To my surprise, as soon as I asked, several team members said they knew you.”
“They said you often come by to visit your nephew, so they all recognized you.”

"I think we should wait until next year!"

Later that night, lying in bed at home, I sent a WeChat message to Fang Bo.
Shi Huiran: "My mom was talking to your mom about our wedding."

Fang Bo: "I think it's fine. I can still put in more effort."
