Nangong Shuang looked in surprise at the person at the door, unable to believe her eyes. "Qiao Er?!"
Standing at the entrance was indeed Qiao Er, but she was dressed in black, her complexion haggard, looking very different from her usual self.
"Miss!" Qiao Er exclaimed excitedly as she rushed forward, but her expression changed drastically upon seeing the purple poison spots on Nangong Shuang's left wrist. "Miss, you’ve been poisoned?!"

However, I heard about a murder in the capital involving someone from the Nangong Family, and I was worried about your safety, so I took the risk to come back and check on you."
Nangong Shuang asked in surprise, "How did you get into the Crown Prince's Mansion? It's heavily guarded; outsiders can hardly get close."
Qiao Er smiled mysteriously. "Miss, don’t forget that I have some skills from my time in the martial world. Besides, this isn’t my first time entering the Crown Prince's Mansion."
Nangong Shuang sighed in relief and was about to ask for more details about the Azure Dragon Gang when a sudden wave of pain hit her. The purple on her wrist deepened, and her entire arm began to feel numb.
"Miss!" Qiao Er gasped and quickly supported Nangong Shuang. "Is the poison acting up?"
Nangong Shuang gritted her teeth and nodded. "The toxicity of 'Mei Ying San' intensifies every hour. I've sent Xiao Zhongyan to gather the materials for the 'Nine-Turn Resurrection Pill,' but I'm not sure if he can find them in time."
Qiao Er looked worried. "The materials for the 'Nine-Turn Resurrection Pill' are extremely hard to find; even the Crown Prince would struggle to gather them quickly. How about..." She hesitated for a moment. "How about you come back with me to the Azure Dragon Gang for a while? There are many skilled doctors there who might have other methods to detoxify you."

Nangong Shuang nodded and added, "Be careful on your way; right now, people from the Shadow Pavilion are searching everywhere; you must act discreetly."
Qiao Er promised and turned to leave, moving lightly before quickly disappearing into the night.
The room fell silent again as Nangong Shuang sat alone, enduring the increasingly intense pain in her wrist while continuing to study the poison samples on the table. She believed that the key to detoxification lay within these samples; as long as she was thorough enough, she would surely find a breakthrough.
Time passed minute by minute as Nangong Shuang felt her strength waning and her consciousness beginning to blur. She knew this was a sign of the poison acting up; she had to hold on.
"I can't sleep... If I fall asleep now, I might never wake up..." Nangong Shuang steeled herself, downing a cup of strong tea before returning to her work.
As the moon reached its zenith, the door suddenly swung open, and Xiao Zhongyan rushed in with a brocade box in hand.
