Xiao Zhongyan nodded and hurried away. The Crown Prince dispatched an elite team to escort him and increased security around Nangong Shuang to ensure her safety.
Back in her room, Nangong Shuang carefully examined the jade pendant left by Wang Bo, hoping to find clues within it. The pendant was warm to the touch, with a vivid plum blossom pattern that resembled her birthmark almost perfectly.
"Miss, look at the back of this pendant..." Qiao Er suddenly pointed at its reverse side.

Just as they were puzzled, hurried footsteps suddenly approached from outside. Nangong Shuang stood up alertly while Qiao Er positioned herself protectively in front of her, watching the door warily.
The door swung open, and a guard rushed in. "Miss Nangong, there’s urgent news!"
Nangong Shuang asked nervously, "What news?"
The guard's expression was grave. "Madam Xiao is missing!"
Nangong Shuang was taken aback. "What?!"
The guard continued, "Lord Xiao returned to the manor and found Madam Xiao's room empty, with only a pool of blood and a Xue Mei flower left behind!"
Hearing this, Nangong Shuang couldn't help but gasp in shock; the murderer had indeed targeted Madam Xiao!
"What about Xiao Gongzi?" Nangong Shuang asked urgently.
