Su Yuntang and Li Fu walked along the winding stone path, flanked by a variety of blooming flowers. It was spring, and the crabapple blossoms were in full bloom, with petals occasionally drifting down onto the stone pavement, creating a soft rustling sound underfoot. 0

Upon reaching the front hall, they saw Long Xi standing with his hands clasped behind his back, seemingly admiring the scenery of the courtyard. Hearing their footsteps, he turned around and nodded slightly. 0

Today, he wore a lake blue robe with straight lines, cinched at the waist with a white jade belt. His hair was tied up with a jade crown, giving him a fresh and upright appearance that contrasted sharply with his red wedding attire from the previous night, exuding a more refined demeanor. 0

"Madam, may you be well," he spoke softly, his voice still low and gentle as it had been the night before, but his tone was flat, as if greeting a stranger, lacking any of the joy or intimacy expected of newlyweds. 0

Su Yuntang gracefully performed a curtsy, her voice soft as she replied, "Husband, may you be well." 0

Li Fu cleverly stepped back into the corridor to give them space to converse. 0

Seeing that they were alone, Su Yuntang took a couple of steps closer and lowered her voice in concern. "Did you rest well last night? Do you still feel unwell?" 0

Long Xi remained composed and even stepped forward to support Su Yuntang's arm in an intimate manner. "Thank you for your concern, Madam. I am much better now. It is getting late; we should go pay our respects to Old Matriarch and not keep our elders waiting." 0

The two of them walked out of the front hall one after the other towards Shou An Tang where Old Matriarch was. 0

Along the way, Su Yuntang discreetly observed the layout of the Long family estate. This residence truly lived up to its reputation as one of the wealthiest families in Jiangnan; every detail exuded luxury and grandeur. The carved dragon and phoenix on the corridor pillars were lifelike, while the eaves curved like swallows' tails—each element finely crafted. On either side of the bluestone path stood a Fake Mountain with stones arranged artfully; the winding corridors led to secluded spots where every step revealed a new scene. 0

Before they reached Shou An Tang, a figure approached from the main house. Dressed in a moon-white brocade robe with a jade belt and holding a folding fan that he waved lightly, he walked with an air of nonchalance that marked him as a dandy. 0

Upon seeing Su Yuntang and Long Xi, his eyes lit up as he unabashedly scanned Su Yuntang from head to toe; his brazen gaze made her uncomfortable. 0

"Second Brother, new sister-in-law," he greeted. 0

Long Xi halted and returned the greeting with cupped hands. "Eldest Brother." 0

Su Yuntang quickly adjusted her skirt and bowed slightly. "I greet Eldest Young Master." 0

So this was Long Xiao, the eldest son of the Long family. He was also Su Yunyan's former husband—the very person Su Yuntang had been keeping an eye on. 0

Su Yuntang scrutinized him closely; Long Xiao appeared to be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old and was quite handsome. He bore some resemblance to Long Xi but unfortunately carried himself like a spoiled rich kid. 0

With a snap, he closed his fan and took a few steps closer, surveying Su Yuntang once more. 0

"Ah! Your beauty truly lives up to its reputation; Second Brother is quite fortunate!" 0

As he spoke, he deliberately winked at Long Xi. Long Xi seemed unamused by his brother's jest and merely replied coolly, "Eldest Brother overstates it." 0

Long Xiao laughed heartily, showing no concern. "Look at you, so protective of your wife! Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore. Let's go; Father, Mother, and Grandmother are waiting in the main hall. We shouldn't keep the elders waiting." 0

As he spoke, his gaze couldn't help but dart towards Su Yuntang, who subtly shifted behind Long Xi to avoid his eyes. The three of them walked in silence together as they entered Shou An Tang. 0
