This was once the Old Textile Factory in Port City, but it had since closed down and turned into a vacant ruin. 0

I slammed on the brakes, and before the car had even come to a complete stop, I jumped out and ran into the Old Textile Factory without looking back. 0

Behind me, I heard the screech of tires followed by a cacophony of footsteps and shouts. 0

"Don't let that bitch get away!" 0
"Block her from the side!" 0

Even though I was nimble, there were too many of Wang Jiu Ye's men. Soon, I found myself cornered in a section of the factory. 0

In front of me was a half-collapsed wall, and both sides were blocked by people. There was no way to retreat. 0

Wang Jiu Ye pushed through the crowd and stepped in front of me, his eyes bloodshot. 0

"Lin Xue, you really have surprised me." 0

"You're too kind. It's an honor to have Wang Jiu Ye personally come after me." 0

Wang Jiu Ye chuckled darkly, "Do you think you can kill my men, cheat me out of my money, and still escape?" 0

Scar Liu, who had been standing behind Wang Jiu Ye, stepped forward at his command and raised her gun at me. 0

Wang Jiu Ye glanced at the gun in her hand and clicked his tongue. "Put the gun away! Bring this woman to the hospital in one piece! I want to cut her open alive and use her heart to save my son." 0

He said the last part through gritted teeth. It seemed his words greatly satisfied Scar Liu's twisted psyche; she smiled seductively and licked her lips. 0

Scar Liu holstered her gun and gestured backward with her hand. A bald man leaped forward with several thugs, surrounding me. 0

Suddenly, from behind Wang Jiu Ye's group of thugs, a clear female voice rang out! 0

"Don't move!" 0

Everyone turned to look, and there stood a young girl. 0

In her early twenties, her complexion was pale, and she was dragging along a boy of about ten years old. 0

That was my sister. 0

My heart raced—clearly, she hadn’t waited for me at the airport as instructed; instead, she had gone to the hospital. She must have seen Wang Jiu Ye storming out with his entourage and realized that I had been exposed. Seizing the opportunity, she had distracted the bodyguards and kidnapped Wang Jiu Ye’s illegitimate son. 0

At that moment, her knife was pressed against the weak boy's carotid artery, a drop of blood trickling down his neck. 0

This scene was too intense for Wang Jiu Ye. His men were stunned, none daring to make a move, and they parted to create a path. My sister dragged Wang Jiu Ye’s illegitimate son step by step toward me. Sunlight streamed through the broken windows of the abandoned factory, casting a golden glow around her. 0

The little girl who always hid behind me was now crossing a group of thugs with a hostage in tow to save me. It was like something out of a Marvel superhero movie. 0

My throat tightened. 0

She reached my side and gently nudged my shoulder. 0

“Big sister, I’m here.” 0

Oh, you little rascal, why can’t you just listen? 0

I was about to scold her when I heard Wang Jiu Ye shout: 0

“Don’t hurt my son! Lin Xue, come at me if you want!” 0

How annoying this old man is; can’t he see the bond between sisters? 0

I retorted sarcastically, “So Wang Jiu Ye can be scared too? Just a moment ago, weren’t you threatening to dissect me?” 0

"Don't, don't hurt him! What do you want? I can give you a lot of money! Just let my son go!" 0

Money? I rolled my eyes. 0

"Save your money for a nice grave for your son. If you don't want to see him bleed out right here, have your people step back, drop all their weapons, and then you—" I pointed at Wang Jiu Ye, "throw your gun over here, and then you come with us alone!" 0
