Zhou Wei wanted to say something, but I gently pushed him away and adjusted his collar. "And I trust you; you won't let me down." 0

He pinched my cheek and said, "You're so nice." 0

I smiled but didn't say much. I wanted to be good to him, understand him, indulge him, and make him unable to live without me. 0

During the National Day holiday, I bought Zhou Wei a pair of shoes he had always wanted, spending over a thousand on them. He was so happy that he stayed home with me the entire holiday. 0

One day, while I was organizing some things, Zhou Wei suddenly pushed the door open. 0

Seeing the papers in my hand, he curiously asked, "What's this?" 0

I paused for a moment before smiling and explaining, "These are the receipts for the gifts I've given you. I want to keep them as memories for when we get married in the future." 0

He didn't think much of it. After hearing my explanation, he wrapped his arms around my waist and said, "You're so romantic." 0

I chuckled and put the receipts away. 0

I wasn't sure if it was because of that incident, but afterward, Zhou Wei rarely went out and spent most of his time at home. I stopped ordering takeout and continued to cook for him. He finished everything I made and even ordered takeout for me when I was working late. 0

However, I didn't eat those takeouts; I gave them to my colleagues who were also working late. 0

A few times he wanted to pick me up from work, but I refused, saying my boss would drive me home. He got jealous and complained about what use he was as a boyfriend. 0

I explained for a long time that it would be troublesome for him to make the trip; if he had a car, he might as well use it. 0

After a busy period, Sun Xin gave me a few extra days off to rest properly. During those days off, Zhou Wei occasionally went out but always informed me first. Even when Yu Lan asked him out, he would check if I wanted to join. I declined each time under the pretext of needing to write. 0

But deep down, I knew the time was drawing near. 0

At the beginning of November, when the weather turned cool, I was helping Sun Xin organize business trip documents when I suddenly received a message from my college roommate with a photo attached that she had taken at a milk tea shop. 0

In the photo, Yu Lan and Zhou Wei were kissing, with Yu Lan's arm draped over Zhou Wei's shoulder. 0

I stared at that photo and saved it expressionlessly. 0

Sun Xin walked over and asked me, "Have you packed everything for the business trip?" 0

I organized my documents and looked up at him. "President Sun, could you do me a favor?" 0

Sun Xin nodded. "Sure, what is it?" 0

"Help me move." 0

Although Zhou Wei and I lived together, we slept separately, and he rarely entered my room, so he had no idea that I had already packed my things. 0

I asked Sun Xin to help me move everything to the new place I had rented a month ago. 0

Sun Xin looked a bit surprised. "You planned this all along?" 0

I frowned slightly as I pushed the suitcase into the room and joked, "The way you say it makes it sound like I was dumped." 0

Sun Xin followed behind me. "I didn't say that; it's your boyfriend who has no vision." 0

I blinked. "Yeah, I think so too. Men are no good." 0

Suddenly, Sun Xin asked, "What about me?" 0

I paused for a moment, thought it over, and then shook my head. "President Sun, I wouldn't dare to comment on you. What if you dock my salary?" 0

Sun Xin laughed. "Am I really that stingy?" 0

I considered it and shook my head again. "I don't know, but isn't it normal to be worried about a boss docking your pay?" 0

On this business trip, Sun Xin was going to negotiate a partnership, and as his assistant, I naturally had to go along. Plus, I would get a stipend—consider it a free vacation. 0

Just before boarding the plane, I finally sent Zhou Wei a message with a photo, breaking up with him and letting him know that I had moved out. 0

I blocked his number but didn't delete him from WeChat; I just muted his messages to avoid distractions at work. 0
