Muttering to herself about her own shortcomings, she quickly left the bedroom and discovered that Shuo Shuo was still asleep. She went downstairs to buy some rice to cook porridge.
She also bought some greens and stir-fried them.
Just as she finished, Shuo Shuo woke up.
"Ah~ Nuan Nuan, you’re so considerate! If only I could marry you and have you as my wife," he said with a big hug, eagerly filling a bowl of porridge, unable to wait to drink it.

Once outside, she took a taxi straight to the company and headed directly to Ye Meiqi's office.
She was determined this time. No one could do anything to her.
Outside Ye Meiqi's office, An Nuan raised her hand and knocked on the door without hesitation.
Inside, there were sounds of chatter, likely from Ye Meiqi. It was easy to guess what the situation was. After a while of silence following her knock, the door finally opened, revealing Xiao Ruoyu.
Xiao Ruoyu's lips were a bright shade, and she looked displeased upon seeing An Nuan.
"Lu An Nuan, what are you doing here? Don't you have any self-awareness?"
"I'm here to see Ye Meiqi. You can get lost!"
An Nuan said forcefully as she stepped inside, rudely pushing past Xiao Ruoyu. The collision only fueled Xiao Ruoyu's anger.
"Lu An Nuan, don't you dare—"
"Ye Meiqi, I want to know who made the decision for me to pay fifty million in compensation. When you mentioned 'the higher-ups,' were you talking about yourself or the company's shareholders?"
Before Xiao Ruoyu could finish her sentence, An Nuan interrupted her. Hearing An Nuan's words made Ye Meiqi chuckle.
"Lu An Nuan, you really won't give up until you're at the end of your rope, will you? Let me tell you, this decision was made by the company's Major Shareholder. If you have the guts, go argue with him."
"Go find him? Are you kidding me? I don't even know if he's round or flat, fat or thin. You want me to find him? This so-called Major Shareholder isn't your father, is it? Are you two in cahoots to set me up?"
"You really won't give up until you hit rock bottom, will you? Don't you want to know? Fine, take your contract and go to Ye Qin Hotel 8809. If you're lucky, you might just run into the Major Shareholder there."
Ye Meiqi slammed the contract onto An Nuan's face.
An Nuan held the contract tightly in her grip. "Fine, I'm going right now. If I find out you're lying, I will make sure you pay for it, no matter what it takes."
With that, she turned and left coldly.
Xiao Ruoyu watched An Nuan leave and disapprovingly looked at Ye Meiqi. "Ye Meiqi, you gave her the contract and let her go after the Major Shareholder. What if she ends up getting involved with him? We would be the ones in trouble."
"That won't happen. He wouldn't even look at her. Besides, he has a reputation for being clean and doesn't associate with company artists. Unless it's someone he truly likes, he wouldn't even spare them a glance."
