"Ah, is there something?" I stammered. 0

Luo Yuanshan, with his hands in his pockets, looked at me and said, "There is." 0

"Huh?" 0

He ignored me and turned to leave, leaving me bewildered as I followed him. 0

When we reached the parking lot, he gestured for me to get in the car. It turned out he was just giving me a ride. 0

The journey was silent for a long time until he asked, "Did you buy the ticket?" 0

"Yes." 0

"When are you leaving?" 0

"Late tonight, around one." 0

"Huh?" He seemed a bit surprised. 0

"I bought a train ticket; I'll just sleep and I'll be there," I explained. "You haven't taken a train before, have you?" 0

Luo Yuanshan shot me a blank look. "What do you think?" 0

"Oh." 0

"Be careful on the road." 0

"Okay." 0

"Do you have a ride tonight? If not, I can take you." 0

I glanced at him, my heart stirred for a moment, but then I thought it might just be politeness. 0

"No need to trouble you; I'll take a taxi." 0

"Alright then." 0

"I want to ask you a question." As soon as I said it, I regretted it; it wasn't like I was quitting or anything! Why was I being so dramatic? 0

"Go ahead," he said. 0

"Never mind." 0

He smiled, a grin that sent shivers down my spine, and casually asked, "So, what are you doing for the New Year?" 0
"Spending time with family, visiting relatives and friends—nothing special." 0
"Are you visiting relatives too?" 0
"Why wouldn't I?" I replied. He looked at me with a smile, "Do you think I'm above all that?" 0
I chuckled, "Who said you don't look like an ordinary person most of the time?" 0
"Really?" he responded with a laugh, "Seems like you have a low opinion of me." 0
Mentioning opinions snapped me back to reality: "No, you're great." 0
He suddenly used formal language, shaking his head in amusement and fell silent. 0

If unrequited love is a one-man show, then the appearance of a rival is utterly devastating. 0
That night, around eleven o'clock, I dragged my suitcase out into the bustling streets. 0
The Spring Festival Travel Rush was in full swing; no matter how many grievances we had endured outside, at this moment, we all felt happiness. 0
While buying snacks at a convenience store, my phone rang. 0
Seeing the caller ID made my breath hitch. 0
"Hello." 0
"Where are you?" he asked straightforwardly. 0
"At the supermarket." 0
"Which one?" 0
"At the entrance of the community." 0
"I'm waiting for you at the bus stop; come out." 0
Before I could respond, he hung up, leaving me in a daze. 0
I quickly grabbed my snacks and hurried outside with my suitcase. 0
Spotting his car, I slowed my pace and adjusted my breathing. 0
I tapped on the window, and he got out to help me with my luggage. 0

After getting into the car, I said, "Thank you." 0
He was silent for a moment before replying, "You're welcome." 0
"Aren't you busy tonight?" 0
"When the holidays come, I have plenty of free time; there's not much to do." 0
"Oh." I looked at his profile, wondering which door God had closed for him. 0
"You don't have to be so polite all the time; we’re acquaintances now, right?" 0
"Sure." My heart soared; he thought we were acquaintances! 0
When you're in love, every little thing the other person does is magnified a thousand times. 0
Love is blind; in my eyes, he was nearly perfect. 0
As we got closer to the train station, the number of pedestrians and vehicles increased. 0
We were forced to park on the street across from the train station. 0
After getting out of the car, he helped me pull my suitcase. 0
I had packed quite a bit, and it was a bit heavy to carry. As we approached the overpass, I suggested we switch off carrying it. 0
He looked helpless, one hand holding the suitcase and the other tugging at my sleeve as we navigated through the crowd. 0
In that moment, I felt as if I were in a dream; he was all I could see. 0
Once we reached the train station, he let go of my sleeve and said, "Alright, go on in quickly. Be careful on your way." 0
I lowered my head, burying my face in my coat collar. I didn’t want to say goodbye but felt too timid not to. 0
After standing there for a moment, he bent down to look at me and said, "Hi, what are you thinking about? Hurry up and get in line; don’t miss your train." 0
I nodded vigorously. 0
This time, I didn’t say goodbye. 0
