The Dazzling New Star of the Heroes of the Martial World
The Half-Orc and Half-Dragon armies were trapped in a fierce battle against the Confucius Academy on the Western Mountain Path, when Yi Zhangzhi unexpectedly appeared to assist Mengzi. The Half-Dragon that ambushed Mengzi said, "Your presence, Yi Zhangzhi, cannot change the outcome of this battle; it will only add another soul to hell." With that, the Half-Dragon personally confronted Yi Zhangzhi.
The Half-Dragon unleashed a powerful palm strike against Yi Zhangzhi. Ming Lang Qian Kun had faced the Half-Dragon three times and was acutely aware of its capabilities. He did not dare to be careless and responded with caution; gathering his true energy, he met the Half-Dragon's fierce palm strike head-on. Yi Zhangzhi's Inner Strength was profound, allowing him to neutralize the Half-Dragon's attack. The Half-Dragon swung its tail with destructive force towards Yi Zhangzhi. Yi Zhangzhi leaped into the air, flipping his right hand to unleash a Magic Technique: Shatter Bones, Leave No Corpse; while his left hand raised its sleeve to invoke the Buddhist Sect's signature technique: Compassionate Thousand Hands. Both techniques clashed against the Half-Dragon's attack simultaneously. The immense force caused the summits on both sides of the Western Mountain Path to collapse, burying the narrow path beneath fallen peaks. The two combatants were thrown away from the scene; Yi Zhangzhi sustained minor injuries while the Half-Dragon spat blood, severely wounded.
The Half Locust Man continued to attack the injured Mengzi with relentless strikes aimed at taking his life. Mengzi, already weakened from earlier wounds, struggled against the overwhelming assault. The Half Locust Man taunted, "Old Man Meng, your disciples are waiting for you in the underworld; let this locust send you to reunite with them."
The Half Locust Man unleashed a deadly move: Flying Over Without Leaving Grain. A fierce wind erupted on site as powerful energy surged like raging waves towards Mengzi, intent on eliminating him in one blow. Facing this lethal attack, Mengzi summoned all his strength and executed the Confucian School's Unique Techniques: Killing Intent, channeling an overwhelming force to counter the Half Locust Man's ultimate move. As their techniques collided, the ground trembled, mountains shook, and a deep chasm opened before them, leaving only dust and stones in its wake. However, Mengzi's Inner Strength had diminished by a third due to his injuries; after this exchange, he was further wounded and collapsed, spitting blood.
Seeing an opportunity not to be missed, the Half Locust Man launched another deadly attack aimed at killing Mengzi. At this moment, Mengzi was unable to recover in time to defend himself and could only watch as the fatal strike approached. He prepared himself for martyrdom. Just as Mengzi was about to cross into death’s threshold, his proud disciple Zeng Gong stepped forward to block the attack meant for him. Before Zeng Gong fell into dust, he exchanged a glance with Mengzi that seemed to convey a message for him to take care of himself. With one last look at the blue sky above, Zeng Gong passed away with a hint of regret.
Mengzi witnessed his disciple's tragic death and let out a sorrowful cry: "Zeng Gong!"
Before Mengzi could fully express his grief, another lethal strike from the Half Locust Man followed closely behind with an unyielding intent to kill him. In this dire situation for Mengzi, another of his proud disciples stepped forward—Zilu. Zilu did not want Mengzi to fall victim to the Half Locust Man and quickly activated a renowned Confucian technique: Killing Compassion to counterattack. However, due to their vast difference in strength, Zilu’s efforts were futile against such overwhelming power. After one exchange, a mournful scream echoed as yet another soul was added to the underworld. Witnessing two of his disciples perish before his eyes filled Mengzi with indescribable emotions—pain, sorrow, grief, and despair intertwined into an overwhelming hatred. Fueled by rage from within, Mengzi’s face contorted with anger as he unleashed an attack despite his diminished Inner Strength and injuries; he aimed directly at the Half Locust Man seeking vengeance for his fallen disciples.
The Half Locust Man sneered at Mengzi: "Old Man Meng, let me witness your struggle like a caged bird or a turtle in a jar." He then unleashed his palm energy in a fierce duel against Mengzi. Although Mengzi was determined for revenge and held onto hope for justice and righteousness; unfortunately, despite his intentions to fight back against evil, he found himself powerless in light of their evident Inner Strength disparity. As more palm strikes landed on him, Mengzi became heavily injured and was on the brink of collapse.
Outside the Western Mountain Path, Duanmu Chong led the Half-Beast Army to intercept Zhuge Kongming and others from the Martial Arts Community. At that moment, Hua Mulan brought out a captured Half Bee Man as a hostage intending to force Duanmu Chong and his men to clear their path. Hua Mulan declared: "Duanmu old thief, step aside quickly or I will kill this Half Bee Man."
Duanmu Chong scoffed dismissively and replied: "What do I care if you kill him? Men! Kill these ignorant Martial Arts Community members!" With that command given, chaos erupted as numerous Half-Orcs surged forward attacking Zhuge Kongming and others. The Martial Arts Community had no choice but to fight back. A massive battle ensued outside the Western Mountain Path where Duanmu Chong personally faced Zhuge Kongming; due to their unequal strengths, Zhuge Kongming soon found himself at a disadvantage.
The lustful beast known as the Half Lion Man confronted Hua Mulan. Although Hua Mulan was disguised as a man, the Half Lion Man saw through her disguise immediately due to his keen interest in women. Having gone days without experiencing female company made him extremely eager; filled with desire he exclaimed: "Beautiful lady! Let this lion enjoy you thoroughly." With that said, he lunged at Hua Mulan like a starving wolf pouncing on its prey. Hua Mulan quickly used her hostage—the Half Bee Man—to block him; however, in one swift motion, the Half Lion Man’s claws tore through the body of the Half Bee Man with a horrifying scream marking his demise as he returned to Nine Springs.
After the death of Half Bee Man, Half Lion Man continued to charge towards Hua Mulan, determined to enjoy the woman's company. Hua Mulan quickly dodged, but Half Lion Man was faster, and in the blink of an eye, he had her in his arms. Half Lion Man revealed a fierce expression, ready to enjoy the beauty in his embrace. Just as Hua Mulan was about to be insulted, Half-Fly Man discovered that Half Lion Man had killed Half Bee Man and, filled with rage, struck a powerful blow towards Half Lion Man. Sensing the deadly attack coming, Half Lion Man immediately released the beauty in his arms, turned around, and gathered his energy to counter the strike from Half-Fly Man. After neutralizing Half-Fly Man's lethal move, Half Lion Man said, "You fly, are you seeking death? How dare you attack me!"
Half-Fly Man flapped his wings rapidly and replied, "You lion dared to kill my kin and disrupt the cooperation between our clans; you are the one who deserves punishment. Take this!" He then launched another merciless attack at Half Lion Man. Faced with this troublesome insect, Half Lion Man no longer held back and unleashed his most powerful moves to resolve the immediate threat. Meanwhile, seeing that Half Lion Man was locked in a fierce battle with Half-Fly Man, Hua Mulan turned her attention to Duanmu Chong.
Fan Buzhao, Sima Qian, and others from the Martial Arts Community were engaged in battle against Surveillance Motive and several Half-Orcs. Both sides suffered casualties, resulting in a stalemate. Observing the fight between Zhuge Kongming and Duanmu Chong, although Hua Mulan joined the battle in time, Duanmu Chong's formidable power gave him a significant advantage. Zhuge Kongming and his companion were injured multiple times and were on the brink of death.
At this moment, Yi Zhangzhi, who had flown away after battling Half-Dragon, returned to the battlefield. As he approached from the outskirts, he casually struck Duanmu Chong to assist Zhuge Kongming. Duanmu Chong exerted all his strength to resist Yi Zhangzhi's powerful palm energy. After Duanmu Chong neutralized Yi Zhangzhi's attack but failed to recover in time, he exposed a gap in his defense. Seizing the opportunity, Zhuge Kongming and his companion launched simultaneous attacks towards Duanmu Chong. Unable to evade their incoming strikes, Duanmu Chong was hit and injured severely, causing his internal energy to become chaotic as he coughed up blood.
Zhuge Kongming and his companion pressed their advantage and attacked relentlessly without giving Duanmu Chong a chance to catch his breath. However, Duanmu Chong was not an easy opponent; despite his injuries, he was not yet defeated by the two younger fighters. Drawing upon his vast internal energy, he unleashed a renowned technique—Galactic Destruction—directly targeting Zhuge Kongming and his companion. Faced with such a fierce move, both Zhuge Kongming and Hua Mulan prepared to withstand the lethal attack together. However, due to their significant disparity in strength, Zhuge Kongming and Hua Mulan ultimately could not withstand it and were knocked down by Duanmu Chong's energy blast, suffering serious injuries that left them nearly unable to continue fighting.
Mengzi fought against Half Locust Man while tears fell onto the ground; blood flowed along Western Mountain Path. This heroic elegy was nearing its end as Mengzi's bloody struggle had been recorded in martial arts history. The blood flowers stained the surroundings red as crimson clouds drifted with endless wails of sorrow. Mengzi fought against Half Locust Man for revenge for his students until he could fight no longer; before falling into the yellow earth, he lamented that evil people thrived while good people suffered.
Half Locust Man said, "Old Man Meng, I will act as your guide to hell this time." After speaking, Half Locust Man flipped his hand and struck fiercely towards Mengzi, who had no strength left to retaliate. At that moment, Yi Zhangzhi returned just in time and neutralized Half Locust Man's deadly strike with a palm of his own. "Monster! Take this!" Yi Zhangzhi declared as he moved like a ghost and suddenly appeared behind Half Locust Man, delivering a direct blow. Realizing the imminent danger, Half Locust Man hurriedly turned around to meet the attack with his own palms. The clash caused the ground beneath them to sink three feet as dust flew everywhere. With Three Powers Merged as One technique at play, Yi Zhangzhi gained the upper hand; Half Locust Man was immediately shaken back and flew out of the scene.
Suddenly, Half-Dragon also returned to the battlefield and continued attacking Yi Zhangzhi as they became locked in a prolonged battle. Meanwhile, Mengzi's other two proud disciples—Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai—immediately protected Mengzi with intentions of carving out an escape route. Sun Simiao prevented those from Confucius Academy from escaping again by ordering Yamada Koji to block Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai's path. Yamada Koji wielded his blade fiercely with an indestructible body that made it difficult for Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai to advance or retreat. In this critical moment, Yi Zhangzhi took advantage of his struggle with Half-Dragon to send a palm strike towards Yamada Koji, who was instantly knocked out of the battlefield.
Seeing Demon Star being sent flying away by Yi Zhangzhi’s strike gave Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai an opportunity; they immediately seized it and fought desperately for an escape route. The Half-Insect Army quickly closed in around Mengzi and others to prevent their escape. "Let me clear a path for Confucian Academy; you all protect Confucian Academy," Liang Shanbo declared before charging at the Half-Insect Army with sword drawn. The other disciples from Confucius Academy supported Mengzi as they followed closely behind Liang Shanbo in search of any chance to break free.
