"You are being too arrogant!"
Fang Yuan's palm suddenly revealed a rich purple Thunder Light, and he slammed it down onto the stone railing in front of him. The exceptionally sturdy stone railing broke into two pieces, yet Fang Yuan showed no concern. His eyes were fixed on the two gigantic beasts circling in the air, filled with an uncontrollable rage.
"Aohumen, Crimson Thunder Hall, do you think that my Xuan Lei Sect has no one to stand against you?"
The Iron-Winged Black Hawk was a beast raised by Aohumen, while the third-tier Crimson Blood Flying Python was tamed by Crimson Thunder Hall. These two beasts had always guarded their respective Sects; if they had not received orders, how could they come to cause trouble at Xuan Lei Sect?
"Master, look! There are people standing on those two beasts!" Elder Han, who had been observing closely, suddenly exclaimed.
Upon hearing this, Fang Yuan's gaze sharpened as he immediately noticed that several people were standing on the bodies of the two beasts. Their enormous size had initially obscured his view, but with Elder Han's reminder, he quickly spotted the figures atop the beasts.
"Ao Cheng, Zheng Kuanglei, what is the meaning of this?"
A cold glint flashed in Fang Yuan's eyes as he stepped forward and shouted at the individuals standing on the beasts in the air. As his voice echoed out, a tremendous sound reverberated through the Void like a tidal wave, causing even the ferocious beasts to retreat several yards in fear.
"Haha... Brother Fang need not take offense; we were merely joking..." A clear voice belonging to a remarkably handsome man rang out from atop the giant eagle. As this voice emerged, the massive sound created by Fang Yuan was instantly nullified. Looking up, he saw a middle-aged man dressed in Qingyi standing atop the Iron-Winged Black Hawk.
The ordinary blue attire rustled in the high-altitude breeze. With his hands clasped behind his back and an appearance that was quite plain, this man nonetheless exuded an aura of strength that felt entirely natural in his every gesture.
This seemingly ordinary man was none other than Ao Cheng, the current leader of Aohumen, a formidable figure whose strength was not inferior to Fang Yuan's.
"Hmph, a joke... Ao Cheng, when I have time in the future, I will certainly visit Aohumen to share such jokes..." Fang Yuan replied coldly, his anger unabated and his tone unapologetic.
"Brother Fang truly lives up to being the leader of Beifeng City's number one Sect; your presence is indeed extraordinary. However, Crimson Thunder Hall also has a part in this matter; do not solely target Brother Ao..." As soon as Fang Yuan finished speaking, a bold voice resonated from atop the Crimson Blood Flying Python.
Hearing this voice, everyone's gaze shifted once again to the Crimson Blood Flying Python, where a burly man in a Red Robe appeared. Standing on the back of the Crimson Blood Flying Python, his large red robe was highly conspicuous against his strong physique, exuding an imposing aura.
The man in the Red Robe is none other than Zheng Kuanglei, the Hall Master of Crimson Thunder Hall. Some of the Inner Sect Disciples who recognized him couldn't help but narrow their eyes. To them, he was even more intimidating than Ao Cheng, the leader of Aohumen. It wasn't that Ao Cheng was weaker; rather, Zheng Kuanglei was a true battle fanatic. Once he set his sights on an opponent, he would never back down. His frenzied attitude made many stronger than him reluctant to engage in battle with this madman.
Although Zheng Kuanglei's appearance was expected by Fang Yuan, his words caused a sinking feeling in Fang Yuan's heart.
The first Sect of Beifeng City...
"Just as I thought..."
Looking at the two enormous beasts still circling in the Void, Fang Yuan's expression grew slightly serious. Over the years, the Xuan Lei Sect had developed rapidly, gradually surpassing both Aohumen and Crimson Thunder Hall, showing signs of becoming the leading Sect in Beifeng City. However, this also meant that the balance among the three factions in Beifeng City was being disrupted, with the Xuan Lei Sect undoubtedly standing opposite the other two Sects.
Now, with both Aohumen and Crimson Thunder Hall coming to stir up trouble simultaneously, it was clear that their intentions were not simply to show off. For a moment, Fang Yuan couldn't grasp their motives, but since they had come together, it indicated that matters had not yet reached a point of no return.
"Since you have all come to my Xuan Lei Sect, please come down and have a seat. We can discuss any matters face to face..." Fang Yuan's voice rang out again, but this time he concealed his anger, acting as if nothing had happened. Now was not the time for emotional responses; he represented the entire Xuan Lei Sect. As the leader of the Xuan Lei Sect, Fang Yuan naturally knew how to make decisions.
After giving Fang Yuan a deep look, a glint flashed in Ao Cheng's eyes. He then smiled at Zheng Kuanglei, who stood atop the Crimson Blood Flying Python, saying,
"Brother Zheng, since Brother Fang has said so, let us go down and sit for a while..."
"Whatever Brother Ao decides is fine by me; I have no objections..." came the rough voice of Zheng Kuanglei, showing some willingness to listen to Ao Cheng.
After hearing Zheng Kuanglei's words, Ao Cheng no longer hesitated. He stepped on the head of the Iron-Winged Black Hawk and commanded in a low voice,
"Descend!"
Then, with a sharp cry from the Iron-Winged Black Hawk, this time there was no blue sound wave emitted. With a flap of its wings, its massive body immediately descended toward the square of the Xuan Lei Sect.
At the same time, under Zheng Kuanglei's command, the Crimson Blood Flying Python also began to descend toward the square.
"Whoosh..." A tremendous gale swept across the ground, stirring up clouds of dust as the Iron-Winged Black Hawk landed in the square.
"Boom..." Following closely behind, the Crimson Blood Flying Python also landed with a muffled thud, creating a massive crater on the hard stone surface, its fierce aura radiating outward.
At this moment, Sun Zhe finally got a clear look at the people atop the two beasts.
On the back of the Iron-Winged Black Hawk stood six individuals. Aside from Ao Cheng, who wore a Qingyi, there were three elderly men. Although their appearances had aged, their dim yellow eyes sparkled with brilliance, exuding a powerful presence that was not in the least inferior to the four elders of the Xuan Lei Sect.
The remaining two were young men. One on the left bore some resemblance to Ao Cheng but lacked his composure. His slender eyes frequently scanned the surroundings, and he regarded the disciples of Xuan Lei Sect with a hint of disdain. However, when he caught sight of the Veiled Woman from the Inner Sect of Xuan Lei Sect, an unusual smile flickered across his face.
The other young man was blind; he stood quietly as if he were a wooden post, not uttering a word.
Five individuals also descended from the Crimson Blood Flying Python. Leading them was the extremely arrogant Zheng Kuanglei, followed by two men and one woman, all dressed like elder figures from Crimson Thunder Hall. The last one was also a young man.
This young man had a robust physique, clad in tight-fitting attire that showcased his muscular build. His thick arms could rival an average person's thighs, and he walked with a commanding presence reminiscent of Zheng Kuanglei.
Together, these two sects comprised eleven individuals, none of whom were weak. At the forefront were Ao Cheng and Zheng Kuanglei, both top-tier powerhouses in Beifeng City. As they approached slowly, everyone from Xuan Lei Sect couldn't help but display a serious expression.
