In the store, there were quite a few Owls, almost making up half of the entire pet section, which showed how popular Owls were. The group from Furnal each chose one, and Daniel suddenly spotted a white Owl in the corner and brought it over.
The Beautiful Shop Assistant saw him with the white one and smiled, saying, "What do you want a white one for? White Owls are very conspicuous at night; very few people use white Owls for delivering messages."
"Nothing much, I just like white," he replied.
He couldn't tell her that he had been inspired by the white Owl that Harry Potter adopted while watching Harry Potter; it was clever and won his affection. That's why he wanted to buy a white one.
Seeing this, the Beautiful Shop Assistant didn't press further. After everyone paid, she handed them a bag of Golden Bullfrogs, and the group left the store.
Furnal glanced back at the shop with disdain in her eyes. "Daniel, thanks to you this time; if it weren't for you, we might have really gotten taken advantage of."
"It's nothing; aren't we all in this together?" he replied.
Though he said that, Furnal was still very grateful to Daniel. Looking at the thirty Golden Bullfrogs they bought for two Magic Stones, she recalled how she was about to sell them for one Magic Stone each and that they wouldn't be able to use them afterward—what a scam that would have been!
Little did they know that Daniel also felt lucky; if he hadn't included those miscellaneous books in his chip, he would have been scammed too.
Moreover, he had bought too many Golden Bullfrogs. He thought getting a few for one Magic Stone would be good enough but was surprised at how many he could get. If he had known, he would have just bought one Magic Stone's worth.
However, another problem arose. Furnal looked at the Owl in the cage and suddenly slapped her forehead. "Damn it, we forgot to ask how to tame it. We need to go back and ask."
Caroline shot him a disdainful glance. "Since she didn't tell you, do you think asking again will help? Daniel, you should know how to tame it, right?"

"There's no rush."
Daniel said slowly, picking up a Golden Bullfrog. The Owl that was about to fly away helplessly returned, tasting the Golden Bullfrog in his hand.
