Furnal's social skills are indeed impressive, but thirdly, he sold all the potions and came to find Daniel with the materials. 0

"This is the material you need, costing a total of twenty-nine Magic Stone. This is the remaining one hundred ninety-five Magic Stone after selling the potions. I have exchanged it for nineteen intermediate Magic Stone." 0

"Thank you, this counts as my reward for you." Daniel took a look at it, accepted the nineteen intermediate Magic Stone, and then handed him back the remaining five low-level Magic Stone. 0

"Thank you, Professor. If you ever need anything in the future, don't forget to find me; I will definitely help you out." 0

Furnal was pleasantly surprised, not expecting such a generous reward just for helping him sell potions. He recalled that a few days ago, he had taken on a Patrol Mission for the academy, exhausting himself running around outside for a month and only earning five Magic Stone. The two could not be compared. 0

Holding the intermediate Magic Stone in his hand, Daniel felt happy. This was his first time seeing an intermediate Magic Stone. Magic Stone is categorized into low-level Magic Stone, intermediate Magic Stone, and high-level Magic Stone, depending on the elemental particles contained within. 0

The difference between them is 1:10. Ten low-level Magic Stone equals one intermediate Magic Stone, and ten intermediate Magic Stone equals one high-level Magic Stone. 0

He never expected that just by refining a potion once, he would gain so much. The cost he spent on materials was only about twenty-some Magic Stone, yielding nearly ten times the profit. 0

This shows the enormous profit margin. Of course, Daniel also knew that the main reason was his high success rate in potion-making, with very few failures. 0

An ordinary Apothecary Apprentice maintaining a success rate of thirty percent is already quite good. Many people even have only a ten percent success rate. With a success rate three times that of an ordinary apprentice, how could he not earn more? 0

However, just thinking about how he already owed his mentor over three hundred Magic Stone, along with all the profound knowledge he possessed, made Daniel feel as if countless Magic Stone were drifting away; no amount of Magic Stone would ever be enough. 0

As time passed, Daniel had been at the Wizard Academy for over two years. During this time, he repeated the process of refining potions to exchange for knowledge. He also occasionally helped other apprentices explain unclear concepts in exchange for Magic Stone, which served both to earn money and to build good relationships. 0

A wizard must be ruthless and cunning, willing to go to any lengths for profit. Alone, a person lives a solitary life, unable to connect with others. 0

Such individuals exist, and there are quite a few of them, but more often than not, people cooperate, communicate, and progress together. If everyone were selfish and hoarded their achievements without sharing with others, it would be much harder to make progress alone. 0

Meditating on the fourteenth Meditation Rune, Daniel finally confirmed that he had become a Second-Level Wizard Apprentice. From this perspective, Daniel had roughly determined the level classification of Wizard Apprentices based on the information he had gathered. 0

To become a Wizard Apprentice, one must possess more than 5 points of Mental Power. If one is slightly below that, 4 points may suffice, but progress will be slow, leading to a wasted life, making it difficult to eventually become a Formal Wizard. 0

After training, once Mental Power reaches ten points, one can advance to First-Level Apprentice. 0

From ten to twenty points of Mental Power is classified as First-Level Wizard Apprentice. From twenty to forty points is considered Second-Level Wizard Apprentice. 0

As long as Mental Power continues to increase, advancement is possible; this is an unchanging theory throughout the ages. 0

However, reaching Third-Level Apprentice is different. From forty to one hundred points is classified as Third-Level Wizard Apprentice, with significant differences between levels. 0

The further one goes, the harder it becomes to succeed. Therefore, many Wizard Apprentices wait until they reach eighty points of Mental Power before taking potions to advance to Formal Wizard. 0

Currently, Daniel possesses 1 point of Mental Power, firmly establishing him as a Second-Level Wizard Apprentice. 0

He is not an ordinary apprentice; due to the difficulty of advancement, many rely on potions to assist in increasing their Mental Power. He wondered why he had not used any and was still able to advance so quickly. 0

Daniel concluded that the reason lay in the fact that the Meditation Runes he used were all high-level Meditation Runes. 0

According to the norm, a typical First-Level Wizard Apprentice uses the fifth to Eighth Meditation Rune. However, due to the extreme difficulty in constructing Meditation Runes, most First-Level Wizard Apprentices actually meditate on the fifth rune, or even use the third or fourth runes. 0

Since his promotion to First-Level Apprentice, he has been using the twelfth rune. This is the limit for a First-Level Apprentice; if he still cannot successfully advance, then there is indeed a problem. 0

Feeling his empty stomach after the promotion, Daniel prepared to go out and find something to eat. Just as he stepped out of the dormitory, Daniel suddenly heard someone calling him. Turning around, he saw it was Jim and asked in confusion, "Senior, what do you need?" 0

They had been old friends, having traveled to the academy together by boat and studied under the same mentor. Over the past two years, Daniel had even completed several missions with him, so they were quite familiar with each other. 0

A smile appeared on Jim's cold face. A year ago, after a failed experiment, his body had been eroded by dark energy, causing his facial muscles to atrophy, making it difficult for him to show expressions. 0

Unless he was facing someone close to him, it was rare to see him smile. 0

"Forget about 'senior'; we are good friends. Just call me Jim. This time I’m going with a few classmates to the first level of the Underworld for a mission. I wonder if you’re interested in joining us." 0

The Underworld? 0

Daniel was indeed interested. He had previously only executed Patrol Missions in the Tabert Mountain Range and had never been to the Underworld. 0

He had heard that it was an entirely different environment from the surface, home to various strange races. There were timid Troglodytes, fearless Minotaurs, and Dark Elves who dominated the Underworld. 0

As for plant species, they were even more diverse; most leaned towards darkness and included all sorts of bizarre plants like Human-Faced Mushrooms, Man-Eating Trees, Explosive Fruits, Bloodsucking Vines, and countless others. There were even Blood Demon Trees that could move freely and possessed life. 0

Bizarre and fantastical, there were things one could only imagine but never see. 0

In the Flame Throne Wizard Academy, there is a Passage leading to the Underworld. It would be nice to visit there and see what it's like. 0

"Alright, when do you think we will go, Senior?" 0

"You prepare first, and we will meet at the Entrance to the Passage in three hours." 0

"Okay." 0

Daniel was not in the mood to eat anymore. He hurriedly filled his stomach while thinking about what he should prepare for the adventure. The Underworld is different from the surface; it follows the law of the jungle, and without certain abilities, one could easily lose their life. 0

Unfortunately, he had only been executing Patrol Missions in the Tabert Mountain Range before, where he never encountered any danger. He had only learned a few spells as a backup and had not seriously studied magic. 0

His combat ability was not strong, and going to the Underworld could easily result in injury. He needed to find a way to improve his combat strength. 0

After some thought, he decided to first improve his Fireball Spell to increase its power. 0

This was an idea he had long ago; it was just that the knowledge he exchanged from his mentor was not rich enough before, which led him to temporarily set it aside. Now that he had been promoted to Second-Level Apprentice and gained a certain level of strength, along with accumulated knowledge reaching a certain extent, he could more easily improve his spells and enhance their power. 0
