Upon hearing the System prompt, Lufeng was taken aback, suddenly remembering that he had not yet learned the Dart Throwing skill. After reaching level 40, he would be able to use Hidden Weapon attacks. However, what was most important for Lufeng at the moment was improving his Gathering Qi proficiency. He thought to himself that Wang Xiaojing, without any skill attacks and without a powerful Sunglasses Cat, could still complete Dungeon missions quickly, just like Gao Chao and others, which made him feel a bit impressed.
What Lufeng did not know was that Qin Shou's Sunglasses Cat had already been taken by Wang Xiaojing. If Lufeng were aware of this, he would not have such thoughts.
Before long, Lufeng was directly teleported out of the Dungeon, returning to the Escort Agency of Flower Sword Rain. He traded the Sunglasses Cat and the flying dragon to Xiaoxiao, then used a Locator to freeze his double Experience. After that, he used the Locator of Luoyang to return to the Luoyang Training Ground, where he spent several copper coins to replenish his energy and health with Long Batian.
This time, Lufeng came to Luoyang to find the Master of Hidden Weapons—Yan Qing. Only he could help him break through the bottleneck of the Hidden Weapon skill and learn skills like the Throwing Technique of Hidden Weapons. Moreover, training in Hidden Weapon involves sharing a portion of his experience with the master to increase its level. Once upgraded, the attributes of the Hidden Weapon would improve, and he would gain skills upon breaking through levels 40, 70, and 90. To use the Hidden Weapon skills, he would also need to spend money to learn them.
Currently, there are three types of Hidden Weapon available in Asking Heaven: the Locust Stone, the Plum Blossom Dart, and the Ice Soul Needle. The Locust Stone can be used when a character reaches level 30, the Plum Blossom Dart at level 50, and the Ice Soul Needle at level 70. Compared to the Locust Stone and the Plum Blossom Dart, the Ice Soul Needle has a higher grade and can significantly enhance character attributes.
How to obtain better Hidden Weapon, Lufeng was already well aware: The Locust Stone is the easiest to obtain and is considered the worst among the Hidden Weapons. It can be obtained for free from Duan Yanqing after completing a level 20 Story Quest. The ranking for this hidden weapon is third, with an overall evaluation: not great.
The base attributes and grade of the Plum Blossom Dart are higher than those of the Locust Stone, making it more difficult to obtain. After reaching level 75, refreshing the Three Rings has a chance to yield the Xuanhao Jade. Collecting 50 pieces allows for an exchange to obtain the Plum Blossom Dart. Its ranking is second among hidden weapons, with an overall evaluation: okay.
The obtained Plum Blossom Dart can be upgraded to an Ice Soul Needle by collecting 10 pieces of the rare item called Ice Star Shards, which can be acquired through challenging encounters in the Swallow's Nest. Its ranking is first among hidden weapons, with an overall evaluation: excellent.
The use of a Hidden Weapon does not depend on faction or gender. Players can choose and adjust their attributes based on their own characteristics. The Hidden Weapon is also equipped on character roles; it can have four slots for engraving, enhancement, gem embedding, and can also improve its grade.
The grade of a hidden weapon indicates its quality; higher-grade hidden weapons are better. No matter how much one tries to upgrade its grade, it is difficult for a Locust Stone to exceed 600; this is its inherent limitation. Similarly, it is hard for a Plum Blossom Dart to suddenly reach 800, while an Ice Soul Needle can be upgraded to over a thousand in grade.
The grade of a hidden weapon indicates how much actual attribute it can provide from one point of original attribute. Actual attribute = Original attribute * Hidden Weapon grade / 1000 (rounded up). The grades of hidden weapons are categorized similarly to pet growth rates: Ordinary, Excellent, Outstanding, Exceptional, and Perfect.
Rewashing a hidden weapon's grade is also known as resetting it and requires two types of items: 1. Baicui Divine Jade; 2. Thousand Refined Divine Jade. These two items are similar to a pet's Rejuvenation Tome; they allow for significant transformations in hidden weapons. It is possible for them to improve with each wash or become worse; however, this probability remains relatively low.
Hidden Weapon resetting and attribute washing are essentially the same concept. It involves restoring the Hidden Weapon to level 1. For each level gained, the Hidden Weapon can receive 1-5 attribute points. When the Hidden Weapon reaches level 100, the attribute points gained will vary; the best Hidden Weapon can obtain 500 points, while the worst can only get 100 points. Therefore, the Locust Stone becomes obsolete after level 75. After reaching level 75, players can enter Loulan, refresh Three Rings, defeat Wu Xuanyu, and exchange for Plum Blossom Dart. At higher levels, players can challenge more difficult dungeons like Swallow's Nest.
The Hidden Weapon comes with three skills that need to be learned from the NPC Yan Qing in Luoyang. The skills of the Hidden Weapon, also known as Hidden Weapon techniques, include throwing, acupoint striking, and body protection. Throwing can be learned at level 40, acupoint striking at level 70, and body protection at level 90. After learning these techniques, the Hidden Weapon can comprehend the corresponding skills. The skills corresponding to the three techniques are as follows:
Throwing skills generally include: attribute attacks, internal and external attacks, direct damage, and continuous damage over time.
Acupoint striking skills generally include: blindness, area attack, acupoint striking, Weakness, stiffness, and Flaw, which are similar negative effects.
Body protection skills generally include: increasing one's own Stamina, Spirit Energy, strength, Mobility, health cap, Internal Attack cap, and External Skill attack cap.
For Lufeng, it is essential to create a top-tier Hidden Weapon with attribute attacks, blindness effects, and increased health cap; however, that is just a thought for now.
To pursue better results, if one is not satisfied with the skills learned, they can be reset using an item called “Forgetfulness Stone.” The Forgetfulness Stone can be obtained from Piaomiao Peak Dungeon. It is also possible to reset attribute points. Using the item Divine Stone can cancel one original attribute of the Hidden Weapon and randomly redistribute it to other original attributes. There is a limit to how many Divine Stones can be used each time a player levels up their cultivation of the Hidden Weapon. Participating in the Loulan Treasure Hunt event offers a chance to obtain Divine Stones, which can also be purchased from the Tongbao Store.
Each time the cultivation level of the Hidden Weapon increases, it will randomly gain 1-5 original attributes. If fewer random attributes are gained after leveling up, it may lead to a decrease in star rating for the Hidden Weapon. Conversely, if more random attributes are gained after leveling up, it may increase its star rating. The Locust Stone starts as a five-star Hidden Weapon, but as its level increases, it will inevitably drop to four stars; this is something that Lufeng has long since become accustomed to.
In summary, one should approach the topic of the Hidden Weapon rationally and avoid blindly upgrading it; otherwise, it won't yield significant results. For the Locust Stone, once it has three slots opened up, it should be retired. After reaching level 75, players can buy Wu Xuanyu from others or farm it themselves. To improve attributes further, the Locust Stone must be replaced. As for resetting attributes of the Hidden Weapon, for the Locust Stone, it's simply a waste of items. Suddenly gaining momentum and learning the techniques of the Hidden Weapon are essential tasks that must be done at Yan Qing's location.
Yan Qing is located near the Training Ground. Just outside of it is where you can find him. As soon as Lufeng stepped out of the training ground, he was stopped by someone.
“Hey, isn’t this Brother Feng? Master, can you take me along? I’ll pay you!”
“And me too! Please take us both as your disciples; we will definitely stick with you and never betray the Sect!”
"Who are you?" Lufeng asked in confusion.
Looking at the two male players in front of him, Lufeng couldn't recall who they were. In the end, he could only categorize them as passersby. He casually glanced at their profiles; one was Dark Sun from Wudang, and the other was Shun Qi Zi Ran from Beggar's Sect. The names seemed somewhat familiar.
"My name is Dark Sun. It's a pleasure to meet you. If you could take us as your disciples, we would definitely make a name for ourselves in Asking Heaven and dominate the martial arts world."
"Exactly! I'm Shun Qi Zi Ran, sincerely looking for a master!"
After thinking for a while, Lufeng still couldn't remember anything about these two and had to ask, "I'm not even level 40 yet, so I can't take disciples. Besides, I feel like I have some impression of your aliases!"
Shun Qi Zi Ran was overjoyed: "Really? You know me, great one? That's wonderful! Dark Sun, quickly ask for apprenticeship!"
"Wait a minute," Lufeng quickly interrupted, suddenly recalling something: "Aren't you two players from Heavenly Dragon, Shun Qi Zi Ran and Dark Sun?"
"Haha, yes! Almost all players are playing Asking Heaven now. We also made a tough decision to switch to Asking Heaven. Once we entered, we were instantly captivated by the virtual world of Asking Heaven. It's amazing! Compared to this groundbreaking product, games like LOL seem weak. Sometimes I can't believe there can be such a soulful game in this world..." Dark Sun chattered on.
After receiving their confirmation, Lufeng felt secretly delighted. It was important to note that these two players were quite prominent figures; those who appeared in the Martial Arts Tournament were certainly not mediocre. However, Lufeng was still curious: "By the way, you two didn't just meet after a PK battle, did you? Besides, you're not weak either; why do you want me as your master?"
