Students at Mars Alliance School have only one goal—to study diligently, improve their Cognitive Ability, master scientific skills, and develop their physical fitness to become the true pillars of Mars. Mars Alliance School will cover all basic expenses for the selected elites.
At Mars Alliance School, students' learning is primarily divided into three major parts:
The first part, the most important one, is the training and cultivation of Cognitive Ability, which determines their future and destiny.
Martians have learned over millions of years of evolution that various behaviors and functions correspond to specific organizations in the brain that inherit various functional genetic codes. This inheritance does not involve the specific knowledge required by humans but rather the ability to learn and receive such knowledge or behaviors.
Mars Alliance School focuses on developing the ability to receive information and Cognitive Ability through scientifically effective methods. It specifically trains and cultivates students' brains, activating and improving them so that their brains can achieve 100% development. After decades of effort, students' Cognitive Ability values are ultimately expected to exceed 100.
The second part involves learning theoretical knowledge.
Language, mathematics, physics, chemistry, music, and art are fundamental courses that all Martians must take, and they are also required subjects for students at Mars Alliance School. Since Mars Alliance School aims to cultivate Martians as future diplomats and starship commanders, in addition to basic theoretical knowledge, they must also study modern space-based information systems, the manufacturing and practical application of modern mechs, starship command studies, star warfare tactics, modern logistics support studies, interstellar history, interstellar diplomacy, and universal interstellar languages.
The third part is physical training.
Physical training is essential for keeping students in optimal physical condition and mental state. It is particularly important for those students who wish to transition into military service.
Newly enrolled students are classified based on their Cognitive Ability and assessment scores. Kairuot and Fairleya are placed in the Lower Grade Class for young students, while Feilbolai is assigned to the Middle Grade Class for young students.
Although Kairuot and Fairleya were in the same class, they rarely had the chance to meet. Due to theoretical learning, students could stay in their dormitories and attend classes through the Light Network, taking care of their needs in their own rooms.
Since there was a public class once a week and a few necessary courses that required attendance, such as Chemistry, Music, and Art, the teacher arranged seating by splitting the classes. To Kairuot's surprise, his seat was right next to Fairleya, which made her very uncomfortable.
The school clearly knew about the deep conflict between Fairleya and Kairuot, yet they still arranged for them to sit next to each other, leaving everyone puzzled about the school's intentions. Every time Fairleya saw Kairuot, she glared at him with a stiff face and wide eyes, wishing she could devour him.
Kairuot, on the other hand, felt quite happy. At least once a week during the public class, he could sit close to Fairleya, listen to her breathing, and watch her smile, feeling an indescribable joy in his heart.
Fairleya specifically went to the Academic Affairs Office to find Fair Connie and strongly requested a seat change.
Fair Connie patiently advised her for quite some time, saying things like: "Students shouldn't hold grudges; you should help each other. You are fortunate to learn and live together, like being in one big family. How can family members hold grudges against each other?" Fairleya felt speechless; although she couldn't find a reason to refute it, she felt very wronged.
At the end of that conversation, Fairleya shed tears of grievance. Fair Connie sighed helplessly and finally pulled her into an embrace, saying, "Good girl, don't cry. If you have any unpleasant experiences in the future, just tell me; I will help you bear it." She gently patted Fairleya's back and continued, "I know you lost your mother when you were very young... From now on, consider me your Godmother; I will never let my daughter be wronged."
"Godmother!" Fairleya nodded in acknowledgment of this kind teacher.
From that point on, Fairleya no longer glared at Kairuot as if he were her enemy; however, she also refused to speak to him, and both entered a phase of cold war.
Fairleya gave Kairuot no opportunity for contact or reconciliation. Occasionally when she lacked study supplies like electronic pen refills or optical rulers, she would rather borrow from classmates seated far away than ask Kairuot for help. Thus, they coexisted in a lukewarm manner for a short period.
