Kairuot sat cross-legged with his eyes closed at the energy gathering point in the Golden Tower, using the flow of his internal power to continuously absorb Golden Tower Energy. The powerful Cosmic Wave flowed through him like an electric current, and after half an hour, he was drenched in sweat.
As usual, he would stop practicing at this point, unable to continue any longer. But today, he had no intention of stopping—he wanted to keep going until he could no longer endure it. Although his head did not hurt as much as it did during his first practice, there was still a painful throbbing sensation that made him uncomfortable. The young man gritted his teeth and persisted for over another hour.
When Kairuot's consciousness began to blur and his body felt somewhat uncontrollable, he had entered a passive state of energy absorption.
Kairuot felt waves of Cosmic Wave crashing against the top of his head. Instinctively, he lifted his head to see what the Cosmic Wave above the Tower Spitze looked like. Although he could not open his eyes, he sensed magical halos rushing toward his face and forehead. It felt as if someone had torn a gash in his forehead, causing him great pain. At this moment, the young man was too weak to evade; he let the Golden Tower Energy surge chaotically through him.
Kairuot began to lose control over himself; he felt as if his entire body was floating in the air, and his soul seemed to be pulled away. He wanted to leave the practice point, but his limbs would not obey him. He wanted to open his eyes, but his eyelids felt glued shut. At that moment, it was as if a Heavenly Eye had opened on his forehead, occasionally flashing images of the Golden Spire. Gradually, in the air before him, appeared the lyrics of a famous song from the Martian era titled "Parting Sorrow"—
Dreamy youth,
Only drunk can one rest,
The wind has passed,
Love fills the tower,
The alliance promotes romance.
Oaths of mountains and seas,
Longing fills the building,
Heaven cannot help,
Earth offers no aid,
When will my heart's sorrow be resolved?
The lyrics of "Parting Sorrow," who wrote them? Why do they appear here? Before Kairuot could think further, he had completely lost consciousness and collapsed at the energy gathering point inside the Golden Tower.

Uncertain how much time had passed, Kairuot faintly heard a woman speaking: "Do you know? In the past few days, Terra has repeatedly recited the lines you wrote: 'Heaven has no ability, the earth offers no help, when will my heart's sorrow be resolved?'"
"How would Terra know these lyrics? Could it be that his Heavenly Eye has opened?" A familiar man's voice drifted in and out.
"Perhaps. Sigh... After all these years, if it weren't for Terra this time, we might not have met again." The woman said sadly, "You are doing this for your family, but who am I doing this for? If anything were to happen to Terra, I really wouldn't want to live anymore."
"Don't say that. Terra is still alive and well." The man comforted her, "Haven't you both checked? Terra shouldn't have any major issues, right?"
The woman continued, "Fortunately, I managed to save him in time that day; otherwise, I can't imagine the consequences. Terra has been in the Recovery Pod for several days now; his body should be recovering well. The Recovery Pod's display shows he is too tired and in a temporary state of sleep. Perhaps after resting in the pod for a few more days, he will be fine; I hope so."
"As long as there are no major issues. I feel the most guilty towards Terra; I've never cared enough for him." The man said.
"Don't you feel guilty towards me? You're too heartless." The woman complained.
"Can we talk outside? If we speak here, we might wake Terra and it wouldn't be good if he hears us." The man's voice lowered even more.
"Okay." The woman replied lightly.

Kairuot realized that the man was his father Kairuoka and the woman was Fair Connie, the Dean of Academic Affairs at his school. Both affectionately called him "Terra."
Could Fair Connie be his biological mother? Kairuot couldn't help but recall how Fair Connie had cared for him since he entered school, her unique motherly love shining through whenever she saw him...
Back on Earth, Kairuot's so-called mother had left him when he was six years old; he had always been treated as a "wild child."
At twelve, when he returned to Mars, Kairuot met his current stepmother and two older brothers, but the family dynamic was very strained.
His stepmother rarely spoke to him and did not allow him to live with his two older brothers. Kairuot had always been raised alone by Maid Kairou Marie. Kairuot knew that his stepmother accepted him only because of Kairuoka. Of course, Kairuot had once asked his father about his biological mother, but whenever this topic was brought up, his father seemed to have difficulty discussing it and always avoided the subject.
After a struggle with blurred thoughts, Kairuot finally slowly opened his eyes. Through the glass of the Recovery Pod, the first thing he saw was Fair Connie, who was quietly keeping watch over him by the side of the Recovery Pod.
Seeing him awake, Fair Connie couldn't help but show a faint smile. Kairuot felt warmth from her smile; it was the first time he carefully observed this director.
Fair Connie was over one hundred thirty years old, but she looked like she was just in her thirties, still beautiful. Her golden hair, blue eyes, and fair skin were characteristic features of the Fair Tribe. As Kairuot looked at her face, he suddenly realized that his blue eyes and high nose resembled those of the director; as for the rest... he took after his father, though he was taller and more robust than his father.
"Mom?" Kairuot uncontrollably uttered this word, which earned him a look of disbelief from Fair Connie.
When Kairuot called "Mom" again, Fair Connie finally reacted; he was indeed calling for her.
A wave of warmth spread through her body as Fair Connie quickly opened the cabin door, bent down, and hugged Kairuot tightly, tears streaming down her face.
"Mom? Are you really my mom?..." Kairuot felt a mix of emotions; reuniting with his long-lost mother was what he had wished for, but everything had come so suddenly.
Fair Connie patted Kairuot's back, unable to say a word, simply letting her tears fall...
The mother and son, separated for over thirty years, were finally reunited.
