Three days later, the wedding of Kairuot and Beldan was held at Dragon Clan.
The entire Dragon Clan was decorated as if it were a major festival, bustling with excitement, and almost every family in the manor sent someone to attend the wedding. The large Lawn was crowded with people standing in front of the temporarily erected wedding stage to witness the ceremony.
The wedding customs of Dragonfall Lodge were unique; they never accepted gifts for weddings but instead invited performers to sing for three days and nights. On the first day before the performance, the groom and bride had to pay respects to their parents. After both sides bowed to each other and made vows, a respected elder from Dragonfall Lodge announced that the two were now husband and wife. Immediately after, the ceremony concluded, and the couple exited to begin their performances. For couples skilled in martial arts, both partners were required to showcase their abilities; if they demonstrated their combined skills together, it was even better, as it showed their harmonious partnership and commitment to each other.
Dragonfall Lodge was a hidden place of talent; there was no family without martial arts skills. Their ancestors all possessed extraordinary abilities and had fought their way here through their skills. They battled against heaven, humanity, and dragons relying solely on martial arts; without these skills, this clan would have long since perished. Therefore, when taking in daughters-in-law or marrying off daughters, the foremost consideration was each other's martial arts prowess. They prioritized martial arts above all else, nurturing it from a young age and passing it down through generations.
The wedding officially began, and Beldan and Kairuot both wore bright red martial arts outfits adorned with golden dragon patterns. Beldan's hair was specially styled; her original ponytail was fashioned into twin buns with a dragon-shaped golden hairpin inserted, making her look particularly spirited. Since Kairuot's parents could not attend, Great-Grandfather Belzun stood in for them.
The newlyweds paid respects to their parents and Great-Great-Grandfather, receiving from Beldan's parents the keys to their new home. They truly became the masters of their new residence. Next, they received two large boxes filled with gold, silver, and jewels from Great-Great-Grandfather as gifts. In front of the audience, they expressed their mutual affection for one another. Finally, Belhi Elder, the deputy lord of the original manor at Dragonfall Lodge, announced: "Kairuot and Beldan have undergone strict tests from both sides and have developed mutual affection; they wish to be united forever. They have obtained consent from their elders, and on this joyous occasion of their wedding, let us all witness their love. Therefore, before all our elders present, I declare: Kairuot and Beldan are officially married."
Belhi Elder held a white porcelain plate filled with water and gently sprinkled it on Kairuot and Beldan's faces using a branch with leaves while reciting blessings: "May you cherish each other forever, grow old together, and enjoy eternal happiness!"
With the ceremony complete, firecrackers exploded as cheers erupted from the audience.
Next, the couple began their martial arts performance. First, they showcased Bel Long Fist together; they exchanged moves with agile footwork and punches like shooting stars, executing Bel Long Fist masterfully. Their training in the Cave had given them profound internal strength, allowing their long fist techniques to reach a state where "intent guides strength and energy drives power." Due to their deep connection as a couple and seamless cooperation, every move captivated the audience's attention and earned them rounds of applause. After finishing Long Fist, they bowed deeply to the audience in preparation to exit. However, the audience insisted they perform again.
With no choice but to comply, the couple performed a set of Kai Ruo Grappling Technique. The Grappling Technique they demonstrated was something never seen before by those from Dragonfall Lodge, leaving the audience in awe as they cheered continuously. Just as they were passionately performing, an audience member wearing a scarf over her head jumped onto the stage to disrupt them; she also executed Kai Ruo Grappling Technique. After just two moves, Kairuot recognized who she was.
After her brief display of moves, she quickly left using Lightness Skill and vanished in an instant. Kairuot disregarded everything else and followed closely behind while the audience remained unaware of what was happening, thinking it was just a small incident during the performance. Beldan calmly continued by demonstrating several moves from Grappling Technique before quickly retracting his fists and cleverly addressed the audience: "Our performance concludes here; please enjoy the next program."
After saying that, she quickly leaped out of the audience's sight with a Lightness Skill.
