Searching, endlessly searching, Kairuot and Xiaoli were relentless. Although they had spent most of the day, they couldn't stop their search until they had checked all the warehouses associated with these hundreds of numbers. They had not found the most suitable weapon, making it hard for them to halt their efforts.
Soon, they arrived at the warehouse for zzd-02. They discovered that this warehouse was different from the others; the door was tightly closed and secured with an old-fashioned combination lock.
Kairuot quickly took out his small device and aimed it at the lock, firing a Signal connection beam. Once the program successfully connected, a string of electronic codes appeared on the password door that needed to be cracked. He hurriedly tapped out the electronic code on his device, and after a series of decoding processes, his device displayed: [65z12zd37690]—this twelve-character combination of numbers and letters.
Following the code, Kairuot finally opened the warehouse door. The two immediately entered and began searching. Eventually, in a rusty iron cabinet at the core of the warehouse, they unexpectedly found a small Proton Bullet inside a very precise metal box.
This thrilled Kairuot; holding the Proton Bullet, he exclaimed, “Proton Bullet! This is truly a stroke of luck—now we have leverage to negotiate with Belche!”
Xiaoli looked over curiously and asked, “Proton Bullet? I’ve indeed heard my Great-Great-Grandfather mention that our Capricorn Planet has several powerful Proton Bullets, but no one has ever used them. Is this thing really that impressive?” As she spoke, she took the Proton Bullet from Kairuot's hands and examined it closely, finding nothing particularly different about this Nuclear Bomb.
Kairuot quickly stopped her: “Be careful! The power of this Proton Bullet is immense! Don’t underestimate this small Nuclear Bomb; it could destroy ten Capricorn Planets!”
“Then… how do you know it’s a Proton Bullet?” Xiaoli asked fearlessly as she shook the small Nuclear Bomb.
Kairuot looked at her helplessly and repeatedly said, “Be cautious… my goodness! Can’t you see what’s written on the Nuclear Bomb?”
“It says… Proton Bullet. Wow! You have sharp eyes!” Xiaoli recognized those Capricorn Scripts with surprise and quickly returned the Nuclear Bomb to Kairuot, reminding him, “You keep this Nuclear Bomb safe, but don’t mess around with it; if you use it carelessly, we’re all done for!”
“Don’t worry; I know what I’m doing,” Kairuot replied as he carefully stored the Proton Bullet in an iron box in his backpack. “As long as Belche doesn’t act recklessly, I will never use this thing irresponsibly; its main purpose is to intimidate him.”
Afterward, they found some small self-defense weapons in the warehouse, such as Laser Pistols, Electronic Disruption Grenades, smoke bombs, etc. They didn’t discard their Laser Guns; these weapons were at least very practical for urban combat. They gathered all the weapons they could carry.

With all equipment ready, Kairuot and Xiaoli retraced their steps back to the intersection where they were unexpectedly greeted by the soldier who had previously rescued them from danger and led them here. Upon seeing them arrive, he politely said, “Esteemed guests, our master wishes to meet you. May I ask you to follow me?”
Xiaoli immediately asked, “Who is your master?”
The soldier replied evasively, “You will naturally know who our master is once you meet him.”
“You saved us at great risk and thoughtfully guided us to the armory; we cannot refuse such kindness. Lead the way; we will follow you,” Kairuot said decisively.
This time, they did not turn back but took the middle path of the fork. Guided by the soldier, they quickly emerged from underground into a grand hall of the palace.
Looking at the royal decor in the hall, Xiaoli couldn't help but feel a greater sense of suspicion. She quietly said to Kairuot, "Could it be that we've fallen into Belche's trap?"
The soldier seemed to have heard Xiaoli's words, turned around, and smiled, saying, "Please rest assured, this hall is a private chamber granted to my lord by Belche. It is a gift meant to win over people's hearts, so there will naturally be no dangerous missions here. Moreover, my lord is not a royal noble; he has no fortune to enjoy these luxuries and is merely waiting patiently for the right opportunity."
This statement sounded somewhat perplexing, and Kairuot and Xiaoli did not ask further questions. Under the soldier's guidance, they passed through the hall and entered a secret room where a small-statured person appeared.
Xiaoli recognized him at once and exclaimed, "Bel I!"
The person she referred to as Bel I was very thin, with narrow eyes and a hooked nose, giving off an impression of being shrewd and capable. He blinked his small eyes and said with a half-smile, "Finally, I've been waiting for you."
Kairuot still did not grasp the situation and had many questions unspoken when he saw Bel I take a button from his military uniform. He opened the button cover, revealing a special azure dragon pattern disguised as a button. Upon seeing this, Xiaoli smiled and took out a button from her own clothing; although both buttons looked identical, Xiaoli's was yellow.
Seeing the yellow button, Bel I immediately clasped his hands in front of his chest and knelt before Xiaoli, saying, "Greetings, Captain. Please give your instructions."
Usually appearing carefree, Xiaoli now wore a serious expression as she asked, "I heard you are Belche's High Advisor. Do you know where Belche has imprisoned the Martians?"
Bel I blinked his eyes and thought for a moment before replying, "On the surface, I am Belche's High Advisor; in reality, I am only responsible for the production of Clones and robots. I know that Belche never trusts anyone. After he usurped power, all the ministers and nobles in Capricorn Planet's palace are Clones who obediently follow him around. Even we who do his bidding are not trusted; each of us has a Controller installed in our heads."
"Do you still have a Controller in your head?" Xiaoli asked.
"I no longer have one," Bel I answered. "It was removed by Bel Grandfather."
Kairuot asked, "Was it you who guided us to that abandoned warehouse?"
"Yes," Bel I nodded in response. "I saw on the surveillance screen that you were surrounded by many soldiers and calculated that you would run to that wall. So I arranged for soldiers to meet you there. The new weapons in the warehouse were specifically placed there by me because the weapons in the old warehouse were completely useless."
Kairuot asked in confusion, "Why didn't you deliver them to us personally? Why go such a long way around?"
"I only wanted to hand over the weapons to you at that time," Bel I explained. "Later on, I realized that without an insider in this palace, you wouldn't be able to enter or rescue anyone. So I had no choice but to step forward."
Kairuot felt puzzled and pressed on with another question: "How did you know we were here to rescue someone?"
Bel I smiled without answering.
"Will Belche not chase us anymore through this secret passage?" Xiao Li asked anxiously.
"Don't worry," Bel I said, "Only Old King, Bel Grandfather, and I know about this secret passage."
Kairuot added, "And the soldier who guided us earlier knows too."
"It's a robot. I have erased everything it knew just now and replaced its program. Now, it knows nothing."
"Is this the only secret passage you have?" Kairuot continued to ask. "Are there any other passages? Can we use the secret passage to rescue someone?"
Bel I shook his head and said, "No. This secret passage is for emergencies only; we generally don't use it unless we are absolutely sure, and this is the only one. Moreover, the person you want to rescue is a key target of Belche. He is in a specially designed room guarded by high-end robots. Even if you reach outside the room, you won't be able to rescue the person inside."
Xiao Li said, "So according to you, we have no way out."
"Not that we have no way, but we need to come up with a foolproof plan." Bel I said while blinking, then fell silent for a moment before continuing, "You already have the Proton Bullet, which makes Belche afraid; that is already leverage... We can try to take a risk; after all, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Besides, Bel IV is my brother; I can use his identity to act..."
Xiao Li reminded Bel I, "What if your brother is controlled by Belche and betrays us?"
Bel I blinked and said, "Don't worry, I have a plan."
