Bai Yujing connected his phone to the computer and watched the route taken by Tong Wei and the others after leaving Heisenji Temple today. Since the phone was on, he could also hear their conversations, although it was not very clear and was filled with background noise.
Suddenly, the car that had been halfway stopped. It seemed that Miss An received a phone call, then immediately turned around and headed in another direction. Bai Yujing quickly typed a few keys to extract the audio from that time period and amplified it.
"Team Leader? Really? You’ve found it? Okay, I’ll bring Tong Wei over right away!"

At that moment, hurried footsteps were heard outside: "Old Bai! Old Bai!"
Li Hao rushed in. Bai Yujing looked at Li Hao and said, "What’s wrong? You came at just the right time; I have something important to tell you too!"
"I'll go first. My room has been broken into; things have definitely been moved. What about your stuff?" Li Hao immediately stated.
Bai Yujing's expression stiffened as he jumped up to open his suitcase. He rummaged through the bottom pocket's zipper compartment, reached inside, and his face changed dramatically—his pendant was missing.

The three of them, along with the innkeeper's daughter Kadai—the woman who had received Bai Yujing when he arrived—gathered in front of the computer. They pulled up all the surveillance footage from the inn, ruling out internal personnel. There were a total of six outsiders; three were guests of the inn, and there were also several customers who came to enjoy the hot springs.
"These two are delivery people, and one is someone who came in asking for directions!" Kadai informed them about these three outsiders.
"Who is this man?" Bai Yujing asked, looking at a robust young man on screen.
"Oh! This guy? He was a guest who checked in with you before, but he checked out this afternoon!"
Bai Yujing and Li Hao exchanged glances, both feeling suspicious about this person. Bai Yujing asked, "Can you provide his check-in information?"
"That seems like it’s not allowed! Guest information cannot be disclosed casually!" Kadai said somewhat awkwardly.
Bai Yujing replied earnestly, "Please, this person is likely a thief; something very important has been stolen from us!"
"Alright, you all wait a moment!"
After Kadai returned, Li Hao quickly searched on the computer and shook his head, "No, this person's information is completely fake!"
Although the information was fake, the target was confirmed: "It seems this person is the one. What kind of person is he?"
Meili said, "Could he just be an ordinary thief?"
Bai Yujing shook his head, "No, there are many valuable things in our room, yet this thief only stole the pendant. You might not understand, but this is a very important item related to a significant matter."
After speaking, Bai Yujing rewound the video: "Did you see that? When you all arrived here that afternoon, this person came along and checked in. Moreover, over these past few days, whether we were eating or soaking in the hot springs, we never saw this person. It's as if he was deliberately avoiding us!"
Kadai also said, "I find it very strange too. After this person came in, he has been hiding in his room and hasn't come out at all; even the food was delivered to him!"
Bai Yujing nodded, "So he definitely has a purpose!"
"Eh?" Meili stared at the video and suddenly made a strange sound as if she had discovered something.
Bai Yujing immediately looked at Meili: "What? Did you find something?"
"Look at the tattoo on this person's arm!" Meili pointed to the person at the front desk checking in; the front desk camera was aimed directly at his face, revealing a tattoo that resembled a fan on his hand.
"This is a tattoo of the Yoshiwara Society. My father has one too; I remember it clearly!" Amiya Miri said after taking another careful look.
"What? Yoshiwara Society?" Bai Yujing thought of other aspects but did not expect to hear this name again. Isn't this an apparently unrelated local gang from Tokyo?
Li Hao also felt somewhat helpless; this pendant belonged to him. Although it had always been kept by Bai Yujing, who had informed him of its importance, he did not expect it to be stolen here.
Li Hao offered his opinion: "In such a vast sea of people, it's too difficult to find him. How about I go back and use some influence from the company to investigate what exactly this Yoshiwara Society is about?"
Bai Yujing shook his head: "No need. Since he only stole the pendant, then he must understand what it is. How could the Yoshiwara Society comprehend its significance unless they already knew about the meaning of Center! They know what Center is used for!"
"Yoshiwara Society, Tong Wei's group, and us are all gathered here for Center. So as long as we know where the remaining part of Center is, we three parties will definitely converge there. A mere part of Center has no real value; only when it's complete does it hold significance. We just need to wait for them at the location of the remaining part of Center!”
Li Hao sighed, "But we haven't even found out where the next part of the Center is!"
"No, we have already found it!" Bai Yujing said with a smile.
Li Hao looked up, sounding surprised, "What?"
"The homemade tracking device I installed on Tong Wei's car worked. They've already found out where the remaining part is," Bai Yujing reported his findings.
Li Hao said excitedly, "That's great! But it feels like the situation is quite complicated this time. What if something goes wrong?"
"That's why I'm going to scout the area tomorrow. You and Meili stay here. Remember to take Meili home in the afternoon; she has classes tomorrow!" Bai Yujing patted Li Hao's shoulder. Despite the discovery, he decided to stick to their original plan.
Li Hao shook his head, "No way, I said I want to go together!"
"What about Meili? You can't just let a little girl accompany us on an adventure!" Bai Yujing pulled Meili out, and Li Hao hesitated.
In the end, Li Hao compromised, "Alright, I'll take Meili-chan home tomorrow and then come find you!"
"Okay!" Bai Yujing agreed. After all, once Li Hao was done with his business, he would be able to find him easily.
Amiya Miri and Kadai watched as Li Hao and Bai Yujing went from being at a loss to smiling and arguing. They couldn't understand what Bai Yujing and Li Hao were saying and could only exchange glances with each other.
