The new aircraft Kunpeng achieved a maximum speed of 15 Mach and could fly at altitudes above 50,000 meters with a continuous flight time of 72 hours.
At such heights, there are almost no means to monitor or capture it. It can take off from domestic bases and quickly reach any location worldwide for rapid strikes and reconnaissance activities. Its data alone has already surpassed that of the United States' third-generation high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft Aurora!
Moreover, according to some reports, plans for a new generation of rockets and space stations are underway. This made Bai Yujing feel very proud. When he turned on the television, he immediately saw a piece of news that left him somewhat stunned.

The doorbell rang, and Bai Yujing immediately ran over to find an unexpected visitor outside the community gate. He pressed the button, and the security guard promptly let her in. It was a woman in her early thirties—Qian Jia, the assistant who had previously been seen with Hu Ying. She was a capable-looking woman with an aloof expression that likely matched many niche preferences among certain men. Today, however, she appeared alone for some unknown reason.
Bai Yujing welcomed her inside and remembered that she only drank mineral water, so he didn’t prepare anything else. He took a bottle from the fridge; Qian Jia seemed to be in poor spirits today with dark circles under her eyes as if she hadn’t rested at all.
"Why are you here alone? Where's Hu Ge?" Bai Yujing asked after sitting down.
Qian Jia looked deeply at Bai Yujing and then slowly said, "Captain Hu has sacrificed himself!"
Bai Yujing immediately put down the cup he was holding. "How is that possible? What happened? Explain it to me properly. How could it happen so suddenly? This is too abrupt!"
Qian Jia replied, "After accepting the mission, Captain Hu immediately began investigating Atlantis. Based on your previous discoveries and clues, as well as the map displayed above Center, Captain Hu believed that Atlantis should be located on a small island in the Atlantic Ocean."
"Half a month ago, Captain Hu suddenly went missing. It wasn't until ten days ago that his body was found in a motel in a small town on the border of the United States and Mexico. Among our group, only I and another person returned. What’s even more embarrassing, or perhaps comforting, is that Captain Hu's judgment was completely wrong; Atlantis is not where the team leader thought it was. As a result, all other factions returned empty-handed, and everyone ended up with nothing!"
Bai Yujing did not expect such an outcome. The misjudgment of the location must be Hu Ying's responsibility, but because of this, losses were avoided. He really didn't know what expression to wear in this situation—should he cry or laugh?
"Weren't you supposed to be with Hu and the others? How could he suddenly go missing alone? What exactly happened?" Bai Yujing was somewhat confused about the situation.
Qian Jia immediately said with a complex expression, "It was because of a woman!"

Qian Jia quickly said, "Center is in my possession; however, I have hidden it in a very secure place!"
A secure place made Bai Yujing think of the bank vaults. Recently, he had been renting some important items in Tibet there; as long as he paid some money, he could rent the highest-grade safe, which was much safer than keeping things at home.
Bai Yujing nodded, "That's good. As long as Center is here, you all have a chance to turn things around. Don't lose heart, keep it up, I believe in you!"
Qian Jia immediately glanced at Bai Yujing, "It seems the team leader sensed something before he died, which is why he entrusted Center to me. He told me that if anything happened, I should come find you!"
"What! No way! You big shots are all going down, and you're coming to find me? I can't handle this little shoulder of mine!" Bai Yujing's face turned pale; upon hearing what Qian Jia just said, she realized this was a dangerous situation. She had just managed to escape and now was expected to jump back into the fire.
Qian Jia took out a box from her pocket and placed it on Bai Yujing's coffee table. "Center is here; it's back where it belongs. The team leader trusted you, and I believe in your abilities too. I hope you can help us find some answers!"
"...Is this safe place really your pocket?" Bai Yujing wanted to complain but realized this wasn't the right time. This woman wanted to throw this hot potato into her hands; it was like dragging her down with them!
Bai Yujing quickly withdrew her hand, "No, take it back! You're practically forcing this on me; hurry up and take it back!"
However, Qian Jia immediately stood up, "I'll leave this with you for now. I have other matters to attend to, so I'm off!"
"Hey? Wait! Don't go, miss..." No matter how much Bai Yujing shouted, Qian Jia had already hurried out the door and jumped into a car, leaving behind a cloud of exhaust for Bai Yujing.
Back in the hall, looking at the box on the coffee table, Bai Yujing couldn't help but swallow hard. She felt a bit restless; this thing had gone around in circles and ended up back in her hands—what a twisted fate!
After hesitating for a while, Bai Yujing decided to open it and take a look. It wouldn't be too much to just peek inside, right? Lifting the lid of the box revealed a deep blue pearl inside, sparkling with starlight that flowed and traced beautiful paths—captivating and enchanting.
