"On that day, humanity finally recalled the time when they were once dominated by..."
"What are you mumbling about?"
"......"
Bai Yujing, Emma, and Shen Fei surrounded a Leprechaun city. The city walls were barely as high as Bai Yujing's thighs. As they encircled the city, it resembled a sandcastle, while the little people inside looked on in horror at these figures squatting by the walls, as if observing an ant colony.
When Bai Yujing stood up, even the light was blocked out, casting the entire city into the shadow of Bai Yujing's body. Bai Yujing had finally escaped from being at the bottom of the food chain and climbed back to the top; the serfs had risen and were singing. Although their strength hadn’t changed, they had merely switched maps.
After a moment of shock, all the little people panicked. A series of screams erupted from within the city as everyone began to flee. The once chaotic yet orderly city was suddenly thrown into complete disarray.
"Stop! Be quiet! We come in peace!" Bai Yujing spoke to them in Lilliputian Language, which seemed to be a common tongue in this world!
However, Bai Yujing's shout seemed to escalate the chaos; everyone ran even faster. The entire city and those who had been walking outside vanished without a trace in an instant, leaving behind an eerie silence where even the sound of crows flying by could be heard.
"What should we do? Everyone has hidden away! Should we drag them out?" Shen Fei asked Bai Yujing.
Bai Yujing shook his head. "No need; aren't there still a few left?"
Bai Yujing looked towards the Watchtower perched atop the city wall. A few soldiers had curled up into a ball inside, trembling. Bai Yujing tapped on the Watchtower, causing it to shake violently. "Hey, stop hiding! I can see you!"
"Ah! Don't eat us! What do you want? We are willing to do anything!" Two of the soldiers scrambled up and repeatedly bowed to Bai Yujing, making him feel somewhat embarrassed.
"Cough, cough, where are you? What are your names and which faction do you belong to?" Bai Yujing asked, throwing out several questions at once.
The soldiers exchanged glances, realizing that this giant, Bai Yujing, seemed quite amiable and didn't appear to be a man-eater. However, they still felt uneasy; who knew if this was just a facade? Who could tell what such a creature might do?
"My name is Lick, and I am a soldier from Lilliput. This city belongs to Lilliput and is called Pus City. The city lord is Lord Pus." Although Lick was still somewhat distrustful of Bai Yujing, he knew that against such a monster, not just himself but even all the people of Pus City combined would be no match. Lick had no choice but to comply.
Bai Yujing stroked his chin and considered for a moment. "Hmm, I see. Then Lick, I command you to report to your city lord immediately. I have matters to discuss with him, and he must come here. If he refuses to come, I believe you will know the consequences."
At this point, Bai Yujing, Emma, and Shen Fei stood up simultaneously, surrounding Pus City from three angles, looking down upon the entire city. The citizens who were secretly peeking through their windows were terrified, trembling in fear and struggling to catch their breath.
Lick couldn't help but swallow hard. He picked up his spear and left the Watchtower, rushing toward the city lord's mansion.
The city lord's mansion was located in the center of the city. Following Lick's direction, Bai Yujing found the political center of this city and said to Emma, "So this is where their highest officials and bureaucratic system are stationed. If they don't cooperate later, we will storm in and capture their highest official."
At that moment, chaos erupted in the Pus City lord's mansion. Rod Pus was a very young official; the Pus Family were hereditary nobles who had guarded Pus City for generations. This was their family's fiefdom. However, due to recent warfare with the Blavisk Empire, Rod Pus's brother had taken the family's private soldiers and guards to the battlefield and had not yet returned.
As a result, Pus City was left defenseless with only a few hundred soldiers remaining, some of whom were Slave Soldiers. Moreover, Pus City was located on the edge of the continent, far from the Blavisk Empire. Even if battles raged on elsewhere, it was unlikely that they would reach Pus City anytime soon. Rod Pus had been complacently fishing all this time; even though he had few soldiers under him, he did not feel any danger.
Little did he expect that at this moment several giants would suddenly appear—giants nearly two hundred meters tall—towering over everything like mountains. With just a few steps, they could trample Pus City into ruins. Even when defenses were tight before, Rod Pus had never thought he could deal with them; let alone now when the giants surrounded his city—no one could enter or exit. It was truly disastrous.
Just as Rod Pus was anxiously pacing back and forth, a soldier burst in from outside: "City Lord! City Lord!"
As soon as he rushed in, several guards stopped him with their swords. However, Lick kept shouting so that Rod Pus inside could hear: "What’s going on?"
“My Lord Viscount, our sentinel has brought news of the giants. Should we meet with him?” a staff member said to Rod Pus.
Rod Pus paused for a moment, then immediately replied, “Bring him in at once. We are already fish in someone else's pot; there's no need to hold back. I want to see what these giants are really up to.”
As Lick entered, he immediately knelt before Rod Pus. “My Lord Viscount, the giant outside told me he has some matters he wishes to discuss with you!”
One of Rod Pus's guards quickly interjected, “My lord, you cannot go out; this must be a giant's scheme!”
Lick continued, “The giant said that if you do not go out to meet him, you will bear the consequences yourself. My Lord Viscount, please consider this carefully. I feel that this giant does not seem to have any ill intentions; otherwise, they could simply storm in here, and we would stand no chance against them!”
Another staff member then said, “My Lord Viscount, do you remember three hundred years ago when a giant named Lemuel Gulliver came here?”
“Are you referring to the one who supposedly exiled the entire Lotus Royal Family and supported the Brand Family in ascending to the throne?” Rod Pus replied. Although he didn't have a strong impression of it, he had heard his elders mention it. Since the Brand Family had deemed this matter a forbidden topic, few knew about it. However, among the nobles, the truth of the Brand Family's rise was well known.
The staff member nodded. “Exactly. Moreover, I believe that these giants' target is not here; their goal is the legendary Island of Life. It’s surprising that another clan of giants has arrived here. Perhaps we can leverage their power…”
Though the staff member did not finish his thought, Rod Pus felt a surge of excitement. “Lick, get up! Take me to meet that giant right now; I have matters I wish to discuss with him as well!”
