When leaving Sky Island, Bai Yujing was still a bit anxious because he had previously made a strong enemy of the White Dragon. That creature looked incredibly intelligent and vengeful, and Bai Yujing feared it might be waiting outside for him and his companions to emerge, looking for an opportunity to take revenge.
To avoid this, Bai Yujing had Huckman take a long detour, escaping through a breach in the blockade at the other end of Sky Island. However, it was unclear whether Bai Yujing's plan worked or if the White Dragon had given up after waiting for so many days. In any case, they did not encounter the giant dragon, which was truly a cause for celebration!
The journey from Lilliput to the Island of Life was longer than the trip from Brobdingnag to Lilliput. However, this time Bai Yujing and his companions were well-prepared with food and drink, although it was a bit boring.
After his journey to Antarctica, Bai Yujing understood the boredom of long travels, so he had brought along a deck of playing cards.
"Ten barrels of Barley Wine!" Shen Fei gritted his teeth and bet ten barrels of Barley Wine. This was Barley Wine brought from Lilliput; each barrel was smaller than a beer can but tasted quite good. It was clear that Lilliput had offered only the finest goods to these giants.

"I don’t care; I want to win back my half pack of cigarettes!" Shen Fei said through gritted teeth.
Bai Yujing laughed heartily: "Alright, young man, I have high hopes for you. Let’s get started!"
After ten days of sailing, although they had not yet spotted their target, they should arrive at the Island of Life in the next few days. If they could complete their mission on time, everyone would be able to return home happily.
However, everyone felt a bit tense inside. Although they appeared friendly on the surface, Bai Yujing sensed that these guys were plotting something. He even secretly saw Bivis, Hank, and Shen Fei holding a clandestine meeting in Bivis's room late at night.
But Bai Yujing was also prepared; he had discussed strategies with Emma and Huckman. No matter what tricks those three planned to pull off later, Bai Yujing felt confident he could handle it.
A few nights ago, Bai Yujing had sneaked into the rooms of Bivis and Shen Fei to search for his stolen Golden Discs. However, he found nothing. Later, he noticed that Bivis always carried a large wallet that looked quite full. Bai Yujing was certain that the Golden Discs must be inside; this guy really was quite cautious.
Bai Yujing did not want to raise any alarms, but still took the opportunity to find the two handguns hidden in the box belonging to Bivis. Bai Yujing did not take them away, but emptied all the gunpowder from the bullets, leaving only the bullet casings in the magazine. If one did not carefully disassemble and inspect the bullets, it would be difficult to notice the tampering done by Bai Yujing.
Bivis was not the type to frequently check his firearms, so Bai Yujing was not overly worried about him discovering the alterations. On Huckman's side, it was also quite difficult for him to act because wherever he went, Hank followed closely behind. Even at night while sleeping, Hank kept a watchful eye on him. Despite Hank appearing to be a stiff scholar, he had served as a survival show consultant and was quite capable and aware.
Thus, Bai Yujing and Shen Fei along with a few others were playing cards here, seemingly engaged in lively banter and laughter, but no one truly knew what each person was thinking.
With a hearty laugh, Bai Yujing threw down his last card, claiming a stack of small wooden barrels in front of Shen Fei. He looked as proud as Huang Shiren on stage, with a smile and expression that was both arrogant and infuriating. Bai Yujing even lit a cigarette in front of Shen Fei, making him furious.
“Bang!”
At that moment, it felt as if something had collided with the ship, causing it to sway. Everyone on board suddenly felt unsteady on their feet, flailing around for a moment before regaining their balance.
Bai Yujing exchanged glances with Bivis, then immediately ran towards the source of the noise—on the ship's side where it had been struck. The violent tilt of the ship indicated that something had hit it from the right.
“What’s going on? What could have hit the ship?” Shen Fei asked anxiously. The appearance of something here inevitably reminded them of the previously encountered White Giant Dragon, a top predator in the food chain; encountering one was enough trouble, let alone another!
Bivis, with a serious expression, said, “Don’t jump to conclusions; let’s go outside and see!”
Everyone rushed out of the cabin and onto the foredeck. At this point, the ship had sailed into a thick fog, which was why Bai Yujing and others speculated they were nearing land.
After sailing for so long, they had developed a pattern: when large patches of clouds and mist appeared, it usually indicated that they were close to a Sky Island.
The visibility in the fog was very low due to its density; however, since it wasn’t too thick, if anything appeared during daylight, at least they could see its shadow. But after looking around, Bai Yujing and others found nothing suspicious.
Bai Yujing and the others immediately walked towards the right side of the ship. They had just collided with the Right Side. Bai Yujing led the way, slowly approaching.
As they got closer, they could see most of the scene on the Right Side, but still found nothing. Bai Yujing pressed against the ship's starboard and looked down, but before he could lean out, he saw a delicate and slender hand reaching up from below the ship, resting on the railing.
"Wow! What is that?"
"Hey!"
This thing wasn't scary, but when everyone was alert and focused, this sudden appearance still startled Bai Yujing and the others. As another hand climbed up onto the railing, a fluffy pink head popped up from the right side of the ship.
Bai Yujing and the others instinctively took a defensive stance, as if guarding against some fierce beast, staring wide-eyed at this unexpected visitor.
"A girl?" After seeing her face, Bai Yujing realized that they might have overreacted. However, he also noticed that this girl had long, pointed ears and her pink hair flowed smoothly over her shoulders.
"Mokomo!" The girl seemed to be greeting them, but before Bai Yujing and the others could respond, they saw a pair of enormous white wings spread open behind her. The pure white feathers were as holy as an angel's, and instantly everyone gasped in amazement!
