Hearing the words from the Midwife, everyone in the hall knelt down and said, "Congratulations, Empress! Congratulations, Empress!"
Outside the hall, Mo Xiao Li was already impatiently waiting. Upon hearing this, he looked at Li Fusheng beside him in disbelief and asked, "She gave birth to Elder Brother, didn't she?"

However, before she could finish speaking, a series of shouts came from afar. Everyone looked towards the door in confusion and saw a bloodied man staggering in. His body was covered in marks from whippings, with clear bloodstains on his tattered clothes.
Mo Xiao Li furrowed his brows tightly at this scene while Li Fusheng had already stepped down the stairs to approach the man. "What happened?" he asked.
"The... Border Defense is in crisis; Nanyang is attacking," the man seemed to have exhausted all his strength. He managed to say this before collapsing onto the ground.
Everyone present was shocked by this sudden turn of events, their eyes wide as they watched. At that moment, Mo Xiao Li exuded a chilling aura as he walked up to the man and coldly demanded, "What exactly is going on?"
But no one responded to his question; the man had completely fainted. He angrily shouted, "Xia Ziqian, come here!"
Xia Ziqian understood the gravity of the situation and quickly approached. After checking for breath, he shook his head and said with some difficulty, "This person is beyond saving. He was already seriously injured and has been traveling for several days; even a deity would find it hard to save him now."
Mo Xiao Li's expression was even more unpleasant, but at that moment, the Midwife walked in with a smile, completely oblivious to the scene. "Your Majesty, everything is ready."
"Get out! Can't you see what kind of situation this is?" Mo Xiao Li had completely lost control and shouted angrily at the Midwife, who immediately knelt on the ground in fear.

Ziyue complied and stepped outside. After a short while, she returned with a panicked expression. Glancing at Huixin, she was at a loss for words. Mu Junqi sensed that something significant had occurred and struggled to sit up. Ziyue hurriedly stepped forward to comfort her, saying, "Your Highness, you just gave birth prematurely and are still very weak. It's best to leave the news outside to His Majesty."
How could such words be brushed aside? Mu Junqi said with some anger, "You've become bolder; are you going to tell me or should I go out and ask His Majesty myself?"
Ziyue hesitated while kneeling on the ground and stammered, "The Border Defense is in urgent need."
Upon hearing this, Mu Junqi stared blankly at the canopy above her head, her mind in chaos as she struggled to comprehend what was happening.
Huixin, clearly taken aback as well, looked at Mu Junqi's expression and said with concern, "Your Highness, please don't panic; taking care of your health is the most important thing right now."
At that moment, Mu Junqi only knew that this child had come at an inopportune time. Being looked down upon as an Empress already was difficult enough; with this child, the road ahead would surely be fraught with challenges.
Although she understood that her priority should be her health, her thoughts were hard to control. Reflecting on everything that had happened made her feel as if fate was playing tricks on her; it all seemed predestined.
Turning her head to look at the small pink body in her arms, tightly closing its eyes as if unaware of its future fate only deepened her anguish. The more she thought about it, the more unbearable it became until she felt something flowing out from below.
Seeing Mu Junqi in such a state made Ziyue feel guilty at first, but then she raised her eyes to see the expanding bloodstain on the blanket and screamed in fright. Huixin also noticed it, and both of them cried helplessly.
Yet Mu Junqi smiled gently. When Mo Xiao Li entered, this was the scene he witnessed: that smile was tragic yet reminiscent of the strong woman he had first met.
"What happened?" he shouted angrily as he walked over a few steps.
Huixin sobbed, "I... I don't know either."
Mo Xiao Li pushed Huixin aside with a slap and then saw the small figure, eyes tightly shut. Mu Junqi was staring blankly at the child in her arms, as if she couldn't see or hear anything happening around her.
Mo Xiao Li watched this scene, unsure of what to think. Looking at that tiny body, was this really the child born from his beloved?
"Your Majesty, let me take a look," Xia Ziqian said anxiously as he approached the bedside.
Only then did Mo Xiao Li realize and hurriedly ask, "Is the Empress alright?"
But Xia Ziqian frowned immediately after glancing over and turned to Huixin, asking, "What happened just now?"
"The Empress suddenly became like this after hearing about the Border Defense situation."
Xia Ziqian quickly shouted to a young eunuch behind him, "Bring the medicine box," then rummaged through it and pulled out a black pill, handing it to Mo Xiao Li. "Your Majesty, this is a hemostatic medicine. Quickly give it to the Empress."
Mo Xiao Li hurriedly took it and fed it to Mu Junqi. At that moment, there was a faint smell of blood in the air, and everyone anxiously watched this scene, fearing that something else might happen next.
