After a month has passed, every day in the otherworld is a journey of exploration and learning for Van Loon. Every day, he strives to adapt to this new identity and environment, transforming from an ignorant and fearless city boy into an agile and clever Little lamb. Every morning, as the first rays of sunlight sprinkle the earth, Van Loon runs with the flock of goat across the vast grassland, feeling the peace and tranquility of nature. He learns how to find his place within the flock of goat, how to protect himself, and how to interact with the other sheep.
In this tranquil and vibrant grassland, every day for Van Loon is a new adventure. He carefully observes everything around him, trying to understand the laws of this new world. He discovers that the area they are in is a relatively safe grassland zone, located on the edge of a mysterious monster forest. Although there are occasional low-level monsters on the grassland, such as Slimes and small goblins, they do not pose a significant threat to him and his flock of goat.
Van Loon carefully observed the group of sheep around him, their behavior, habits, and their interaction with the surrounding environment. He discovered a robust big sheep among the group, much larger than the others. Whenever there was a danger from low-level monsters near the flock of goat, it was always the first to rush forward to protect the group. Van Loon couldn't help but feel respect and curiosity towards it.
Soon, he discovered that this flock of goat had a leader, with a level as high as fifteen, far exceeding the other members of the flock. This big sheep possessed powerful active skills, including charging, getting angry, and horn piercing. Its passive skills, petrified skin and beastly arousal, also gave it an unparalleled position within the flock of goat.
And Van Loon gradually integrated into this new life. Every day was filled with new discoveries and learning for him. After a month of effort and growth, Van Loon had slowly adapted to this new environment and his new identity. However, he quickly realized that no matter how hard he tried, his level remained at one, although his experience points had increased somewhat, it seemed there was still a long way to go to reach the next level. This made him feel somewhat lost and helpless, after all, in this different world, level and ability were the cornerstone of survival and development. However, he did not give up because of this, but instead worked even harder to explore and learn, hoping to find a way to improve himself.
During this month, Van Loon also tried to communicate with the flock of goat around him. He wanted to learn more about this new world and find some clues that could help him grow. However, he quickly found that these sheep seemed to only have basic animal reactions and did not have the intelligence he expected. They did not seem interested in Van Loon's contact and attempts, they simply reacted briefly and then continued to eat grass or play. This made Van Loon feel somewhat disappointed, but he also understood that these sheep were just ordinary animals and could not have the high level of thinking and communication abilities that humans do.
However, he quickly realized that he might be the only highly intelligent being in this area. This made him feel somewhat lonely, but it also strengthened his determination to grow and improve.
As time passed, Van Loon had been living in this strange world for two months. During this time, his body had become more robust, resembling that of an adult sheep. He was also aware that relying solely on physical strength would not be enough to survive in this perilous world; he needed to make his magical powers and skills more proficient and powerful.
In order to achieve this goal, Van Loon began to try to control some Little lamb around him that were similar in size to him, in order to train his own magic power and control over The Eye of the Demon. Whenever he infused his mental power through The Eye of the Demon into the bodies of these Little lamb, feeling their reactions and the flow of his own magic power, he could feel a strange joy of connection and control.
However, whenever he practiced in this way, there was always some uneasiness and guilt in his heart. He knew that although these Little lamb did not have high intelligence, they were still life, and his control was undoubtedly a violation of them. But when he thought that through such practice, he could increase his magical power, improve his skill proficiency, and even possibly have important help for his future survival, this guilt and uneasiness would slowly be suppressed.
Van Loon knows that he must become stronger, whether it's for himself or to fulfill the deal with Night Shadow, he has no turning back. So, every day in the intervals of the flock of goat, he practices and exercises in this way. He tries to control different Little lamb, feeling their reactions, as well as the changes and enhancements in his own magical power.
As time passes, his control and magical abilities have noticeably improved. Through The Eye of the Demon, he can sense that his mental and magical powers seem to have become stronger and more acute. He can also more easily control these Little lamb, even sensing some of their basic emotions and reactions. And every time he completes a practice, watching those Little lamb that he has controlled regain their freedom and return to the flock of goat, there are always some complex emotions growing in his heart.
