I shouted loudly, but aside from the sound of footsteps, there was nothing else.
"Damn it, is anyone there?"
I continued walking forward, my heartbeat growing faster.
"Damn it, who is it?"
I turned around and glanced behind me.
I could see nothing but darkness.
"Tap tap tap..."
At that moment, the footsteps suddenly became much more hurried, as if someone was rushing towards me!
"Damn it!"
I felt an overwhelming fear inside me and lifted my feet to start running ahead.
"Damn it..."
I gritted my teeth, feeling like I was about to break down.
This invisible enemy was the most terrifying because I had no idea who they were or what they wanted.
"Ding..."
Just then, a clear sound suddenly rang out not far away.
It was the elevator; it was about to arrive!
I looked up and saw that the red numbers were already displayed on the wall ahead.
It's here!
I fixed my gaze on the opening elevator doors and ran towards them, feeling a sense of relief wash over me.
No matter what, I just needed to get out of this hellish place!
The elevator doors slowly opened.
Without any hesitation, I rushed inside.
However, just as I hurriedly stepped into the elevator, I suddenly noticed two rows of footprints on the floor!
One of them is mine, and the other set belongs to...
Those are clearly adult footprints, and they were left by dress shoes. It's obvious that these belong to the person who made the noise earlier!
Before I could think further, I suddenly felt a tremendous force pushing me from behind!
I lost control and lunged forward, crashing directly into the wall of the elevator.
"Who!"
I shouted loudly and turned around abruptly.
But it was empty behind me; there wasn't a single person there.
"What’s going on..."
I stared blankly behind me, filled with confusion.
In that brief moment, I was absolutely sure it wasn't just my imagination. Yes, I truly felt the strength and touch of a pair of hands.
There were other people in this elevator besides me!
Just then, the elevator doors began to close slowly!
"No, I can't..."
My entire body completely disobeyed me and collapsed weakly onto the floor.
What is happening to me?
I struggled with great effort, but I couldn't muster any strength at all. I could only barely lift my head and watch as the elevator doors slowly closed.
"Don't close, don't close, don't close..."
I stared at the narrowing gap in front of me, silently praying.
But reality is always cruel.
"Click..."
With a crisp sound, the elevator doors fully shut.
I lay face down on the elevator floor, completely powerless, my whole body trembling.
I could clearly feel that the elevator was moving; it was taking me somewhere.
"What on earth is going on..."
I bit down hard on my teeth, feeling both confused and terrified.
I tried with all my might to lift my body, but I couldn't muster any strength; my entire body had lost control.
I could only barely move my eyes to look at the ground.
On the ground, that footprint was still there, looking very clear.
"Bastard..."
I furrowed my brows tightly, my mind racing as I recalled what had just happened.
I felt a tingling sensation on my scalp.
What secrets are hidden in this building? Why does everyone who enters disappear? And what about that strange mirror and the child in the photograph? What is the connection between all of this...
