Mao Wang was still muttering to himself.
As I thought of ways to buy time, I also considered how to eliminate him.
"What about those people..."
"Oh, them? They should be the missing persons from these years," Mao Wang said dismissively, his tone laced with disdain. "Who knows? I don't care about that."

He laughed heartily, "Are you scared?"

The flame flickered, illuminating the bones on the ground and casting light on Mao Wang's grotesque face.

It was utterly insane!
As if guessing my thoughts, Mao Wang smiled slightly: "Don't think I'm cruel; this world is just like that."
