Although she returned to her hometown, Ling Xin still cared about Ma Congyun. After learning about Ma Congyun's incident, Ling Xin immediately took a flight to the capital—there were no seats in economy class, so she spent extra money to buy a business class ticket. To her surprise, she encountered Bai Tang at the police station in the capital, and Bai Tang had a good relationship with the police. With Bai Tang's help, Ling Xin quickly managed to get Ma Congyun released. 0

"A Xin, please don't leave me again, okay?" 0

"Congyun, if I stay by your side, Bu Er Dao Si will keep targeting you." 0

"If you leave me, he won't stop targeting me either. Can't we face things together?" 0

"Congyun..." 0

Tian Yuan: "I feel like I'm watching a real-life romance drama." 0

Bai Tang: "Give them a break; they haven't seen each other for a long time and were separated because of someone else's interference. Naturally, they want to be all lovey-dovey when they meet." 0

Ling Xin and Ma Congyun then realized that there were others around them. Ling Xin's face instantly turned red, while Ma Congyun, with slightly thicker skin, held his girlfriend's hand and walked over to Bai Tang and Tian Yuan: "Thank you both. May I invite you to dinner as a token of my gratitude?" 0

Bai Tang glanced at Tian Yuan: "Are you free?" 0

Tian Yuan nodded: "I'm free." 0

The group found a northeastern restaurant near the police station. Bai Tang ordered her favorite sauerkraut dumplings and sauce ribs. 0

"Bai Tang, how come you're in the capital?" Ling Xin and Ma Congyun weren't familiar with Tian Yuan, so after expressing their thanks, they could only find a topic with Bai Tang. 0

"I came to the capital to deliver goods. You know I run an online store; those two items are hard to ship, so I had to bring them myself." Bai Tang gnawed on the sauce ribs without any ladylike demeanor. It was only because they had booked a private room that she felt free to disregard her image. 0

"I'm glad I ran into you this time," Ling Xin expressed her gratitude again. 0

"Don't mention it; Ma Congyun didn't commit murder. Even if I hadn't helped, Captain Chen and the others would have released him." Bai Tang put down the bone without meat and picked up a wet towel to wipe her hands. "Are you going back to Provincial Capital or returning to Magic City with Ma Congyun?" 0

"I've decided to go back to Magic City. Even if I leave Congyun, Bu Er Dao Si won't let him off the hook. So why should I separate from him? I want to face Bu Er Dao Si's oppression together with Congyun. Even if the company really goes bankrupt, we can start over." Ling Xin's long-standing dejection vanished completely at that moment, bursting forth with fighting spirit. 0

"What game does your boyfriend's internet company operate?" 0

"Have you heard of 'Six Realms'?" 0

Not only have I heard of it, but I've also played it! 'Six Realms' is a great online game with exciting and interesting quests and main storylines. The setting is in an ancient fantasy world where players can choose between the human race and the demon race. The main areas of activity are the realms of humans, demons, immortals, and ghosts, while the higher-level realms of magic and divinity have not yet been opened. If Ma Congyun's company goes bankrupt, 'Six Realms' will definitely cease to operate, which would be a huge loss for the vast number of players! How can we help them? 0

Bai Tang frowned and thought for a moment before saying to Ling Xin, "I have a way to help your boyfriend's company, but it will take some time. Can you hold the company together until I come to find you?" 0

"Sure!" The one who answered was Ma Congyun. He had a feeling that Bai Tang was his only hope, and he had to seize this opportunity. "I will sell all my assets; the funds I get can support 'Six Realms' for a while." 0

"A month. After a month, I will bring a solution to Magic City to find you!" Bai Tang promised the two. She had indeed thought of a solution, but she needed to make a trip to the future world first. 0

... 0

Bai Tang returned to Ancient Earth once again. It was no longer as desolate as when she first came. The development by the Alliance had revitalized Ancient Earth; a massive city had been built here along with a Star Harbor that rivaled Blue Star. The number of tourists coming to Earth each month was in the tens of thousands. Of course, besides tourists, the population on Earth mainly consisted of soldiers and various professional researchers. Accordingly, all the "garbage" on Earth had been collected by researchers, which reduced Bai Tang's online store's supply channels by half. 0

Taking out her communicator from her backpack and putting it on her wrist, Bai Tang opened her holographic interface and purchased a ticket to Gaiter Star. The future world is so convenient; unfortunately, tickets and books are all electronic now—paper has become extinct in the future world. 0

The speed of public spaceships is one-third slower than that of military vessels. Two escort ships followed behind the spaceship, sent by the military for protection. Space pirates are elusive in the universe; although Kate has eliminated some, many still remain. Therefore, civilian starships are always escorted by military forces, while commercial ships have their own armed forces. 0

Bai Tang bought a ticket for a third-class cabin—most people travel in third-class cabins while wealthy individuals opt for first-class cabins, which offer five times better service but cost ten times more. Bai Tang wanted a first-class ticket; unfortunately, there were too many wealthy tourists visiting Earth, and there were no vacancies in either first or second class. She could only buy a ticket for a third-class cabin—about ten square meters in size, it contained a wardrobe, a bed, a table, and a chair. The bed was very comfortable; lying on it made Bai Tang not want to get up. She snuggled into the pillow and simply closed her eyes to take a nap. 0

When she woke up, the spaceship had already taken off for quite some time. Bai Tang walked to the observation deck and found that they were near Mars. The observation deck is a public facility on the spaceship; one side is made entirely of transparent hard material, allowing passengers to see clearly outside the spaceship. The orange-red planet looked like a fireball; it is the closest planet to Earth—Mars. Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun when counted from the inside out and belongs to terrestrial planets with a diameter about half that of Earth’s. Its axial tilt and rotation period are similar to Earth's, but it takes twice as long to orbit around the Sun. 0

In Western culture, Mars is known as the god of war, Ares; in China, it is called Yinghuo Star because it glows like fire and its movements are unpredictable. However, Mars is regarded as a symbol of war and death in both Eastern and Western cultures. The phrase "Yinghuo guards the heart" refers to an unfavorable omen associated with Mars being in conjunction with Xin Suo (the Heart constellation), which consists of three stars representing important members of royalty such as emperors and princes. 0

Mars always moves near the ecliptic plane; "Yinghuo guards the heart" indicates that Mars appears stationary within this constellation. In Chinese astrology, this phenomenon is considered extremely ominous as it symbolizes an emperor's death or a prime minister's downfall. During Emperor Qin Shi Huang's reign, this phenomenon occurred in his thirty-sixth year according to historical records; after hearing about it from commoners who inscribed on fallen meteorites that "the First Emperor dies and lands divide," he sent officials to investigate but found no confessions. Consequently, he executed those living near that meteorite. 0

However, Qin Shi Huang died during an eastern tour the following year at Shadiao Platform. Of course, these are just legends; Mars appears fiery red due to its surface being covered with hematite (iron oxide), making it look like an orange-red fireball. 0

The spaceship moved quickly as Mars gradually faded from Bai Tang's view. She left the observation deck and headed toward the restaurant. The restaurant operates twenty-four hours and offers buffet meals. Bai Tang glanced at the food area and recognized several familiar dishes—roasted sweet potatoes, taro potatoes, dumplings, buns, pasta. Thanks to crops discovered on Earth being widely cultivated within the Alliance, many ingredients have appeared on ordinary people's tables. 0

Huaxia Eats and Huaxia Restaurant published simple recipes for these ingredients; people expressed their gratitude while cooking them at home which further elevated Huaxia Eats and Huaxia Restaurant's reputation. 0

What caught Bai Tang's eye most was a long table filled with fruits—many varieties she had never seen before—but each looked fresh and delicious. 0

After selecting a plate of food, Bai Tang walked toward the dining table when suddenly the spaceship shook violently. Unable to steady herself, her food flew out of her plate wastefully rolling onto the floor before being squashed into mush by another passenger who fell down beside her. Bai Tang turned around to look around; apart from herself and a few others standing up straight, most people had fallen onto the floor due to turbulence; some even hit their heads against table legs. 0

"What happened?" A traveler asked in confusion while touching his reddened forehead. 0

"Enemy attack!" replied one man still standing with an extremely serious expression. 0

The broadcast on the Spaceship sounded, and the Captain's voice came through: "Dear passengers, the Spaceship has been attacked by Interstellar Pirates. The Escort Team is currently engaged in battle with the pirates, and the Spaceship has entered a state of combat readiness. Please do not panic, return to your cabins and wait; do not wander around. Trust our Soldiers; they will surely defeat the enemy." 0

The passengers were in a state of panic, looking at each other, unsure of what to do. They had all heard of the brutality of the Interstellar Pirates, and if the Escort Team were to be defeated and the pirates boarded the Spaceship, they would have no chance of survival. Some women and children began to cry. 0

"Stop crying! Quickly follow the Captain's orders and return to your Cabin and lock the door. Don't add to the burden of the staff and combat personnel!" shouted the man who had announced "Enemy Attack." 0

Only then did the passengers react, helping each other up and quickly returning to their Cabins. 0

"Why haven't you returned to your Cabin?" the man asked Bai Tang. 0

"Aren't you also not going back?" 0

"We are soldiers on leave; now that there is an enemy, we must cancel our leave and go into battle!" the man replied. 0

No wonder he was able to stand firm during that violent impact; it turned out he was trained. 0

"Good luck to you; may you defeat the enemy soon." 0
