"Who?"
Li Rui was shocked by Old Monster's words. Could it be that Old Monster had encountered this thing before?
A shadow flashed by, its elusive movement leaving Li Rui feeling immense pressure.
Old Monster's emotions seemed to show a hint of excitement.
Li Rui found it very strange; someone like Old Monster should find it hard to control his emotions...
Could it be that many years ago, they had some kind of conflict?
Leaning against Old Monster's back, Li Rui felt a slight tremor.
At that moment, the rustling wind around them suddenly stopped, as if the air had solidified in that instant.
A powerful oppressive force came from the opposite side, making Li Rui feel as if he were carrying a great mountain, growing heavier by the moment.
Struggling to lift his head, Li Rui found himself staring into a pair of green pupils.
It was a weasel.
Its entire body was covered in white fur, looking quite cute, but its bright eyes revealed a fierce light.

Old Monster looked at the lightning weasel and asked disdainfully.
Li Rui remained silent behind him; something about this old fellow's state seemed off.
Of course, Li Rui wouldn't poke at anything.
"Whether it's healed or not, you'll find out if you try."
As soon as the Lightning Weasel spoke, Li Rui became unsettled. "Damn it, that weasel. It actually spoke. What level of beast is this?"
"Hmph, I'm not afraid of you."
"Back then, you were just a reckless youth."
The human and the weasel exchanged words, but neither seemed inclined to fight.
They both held a certain respect for each other, yet neither was willing to back down.
"I didn't expect you to dare come back."
The Lightning Weasel stared at Old Monster, its claws tightly gripping the ground, seemingly on guard for any sudden moves from Old Monster.
"I'm here for serious business this time; I don't want to waste time with you."
"Why should I let you go?"
"Then let's have a fight."

The atmosphere in the air grew increasingly tense, and beads of sweat began to form on Li Rui's forehead.
The standoff between the human and the beast continued, leaving Li Rui feeling quite helpless.
"How about making a deal?"
After a long silence, the Lightning Weasel was the first to break the quiet.
"What kind of deal?"
"I won't make things difficult for you, but you have to help me retrieve that item."
Old Monster laughed loudly after hearing the words of the Lightning Weasel, "Hahaha, after all these years, you still haven't given up."
"Will you agree or not?"
The voice from the Lightning Weasel was devoid of any emotion.
"Alright."
Thus, a deal was struck between the human and the beast, and the tense atmosphere eased. Without the pressure from the Lightning Weasel, Li Rui finally breathed a sigh of relief.
With the Lightning Weasel around, no other beasts approached them along the way. This indicated that the Lightning Weasel was indeed a dominant presence.
"Senior, besides these beasts, are there no other dangers here?"
Li Rui felt that their journey had been unusually safe, which did not align with the rumors about the Azure Dragon tomb.
"Foolish human, if you think like that, you won't even know how you died."
Upon hearing this from the Lightning Weasel, Li Rui was quite angry but said nothing.
"It led us around many dangerous areas; otherwise, we would probably have been injured by now."
Old Monster unexpectedly defended the Lightning Weasel, and Li Rui nodded in understanding.
Now Li Rui was filled with questions but didn't know how to ask. Although he felt proud, he sensed that the relationship between these two powerful beings was too precarious. If he accidentally became a trigger for conflict, it would be dangerous.
As dusk fell, inside the cave, Old Monster sat to one side lost in thought while Li Rui started a fire on the ground. The Lightning Weasel went out to hunt for beasts.
"Awoo~"
With several mournful cries, birds and beasts in the forest fled at the sound. The Lightning Weasel returned with a Crimson Blood Pig in its mouth.
Just as Li Rui finished lighting the fire, the Lightning Weasel brought back the beast.
Li Rui could only take the Blood Pig to find water to wash it.
Inside the cave, Old Monster and the Lightning Weasel stared at each other with four eyes.
The atmosphere was dangerously tense...
Li Rui returned to the cave holding the processed Blood Pig. The two, one human and one beast, suddenly retracted their emotions and patiently waited for Li Rui to roast the pig as if nothing had happened.
After eating, the old man began to keep watch while Li Rui sat cross-legged, starting his cultivation. The spiritual energy from the Azure Dragon Tomb was abundant and should not be wasted.
At midnight, a strange sound came from outside.
The two beings opened their eyes simultaneously; the night in the Azure Dragon Tomb was very dangerous.

Old Monster spoke up, and the Lightning Weasel became alert as well. They both knew what kind of place this was, but Li Rui looked completely confused.
However, he quickly understood that it was something that could make Old Monster and the Lightning Weasel, ancient beasts, fearful.

Heisha had entered the cave.

Old Monster advised Li Rui.
"Okay."
Li Rui looked at the Heisha that Old Monster mentioned; they actually had no eyes.
"Attack them."
As soon as Heisha entered the cave, Old Monster commanded.
At the same time, he launched an attack towards Heisha.
Li Rui channeled his spiritual energy into his stick and executed a Four-Step Flying Goose technique.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Three powerful strikes hit Heisha. They could not speak, but after being dispersed, they reassembled again.
Mist drifted past Li Rui's arm, and feeling the pain from his arm, Li Rui realized that the mist was corrosive. The skin on his hand had actually peeled off.
"Are you hurt?"
Old Monster's pupils contracted; this was troublesome.
Li Rui shook his arm. "It's fine, it's nothing."
Li Rui was somewhat surprised; this minor injury would have no effect on him. Why did Old Monster look so worried?
Before Li Rui could think more about it, he noticed that the area where he had been injured had turned black.

Heisha had long since disappeared without a trace, and the forest returned to a state of calm.
Old Monster and the Lightning Weasel were both asleep.
