"Get the hell out of here!" Li Rui shouted, releasing a red glow as explosions echoed around him. This time, unlike before, the flames on the ground surged upward rapidly, almost like a flowing fire that followed his movements!
However, what frustrated the latter was that these Thunder Wolves were incredibly fast. Although initially stunned by his glare, their spirits were somewhat distorted, and their combat power was not to be underestimated.
With a series of "whoosh" sounds, Li Rui furrowed his brow tightly. Each of their attacks aimed to take the latter's life.
Li Rui's fists were no joke either; if he had swung casually before, he could have brought down the mountain. Now, however, he had to strike at the heads of these wolves.
One after another, they fell. Li Rui's hands were covered in blood. He had thought their numbers would dwindle, but little did he know that in the blink of an eye, another ten or twenty appeared.
A fierce battle was about to begin. One wolf after another charged at him while Li Rui responded with punch after punch aimed directly at their heads. Blood flowed from his body, and he was in a pitiful state!
After some time, a one-eyed wolf suddenly appeared in front of Li Rui. It seemed to be a second-tier spirit beast! What did it want?
"Strong one, I know you are powerful. Even though your meridians are severed, you should consider how you ended up like this. Our Thunder Wolf pack never attacks others lightly," the latter remarked, seemingly able to see the severed meridians on Li Rui.
"Talking seriously with a wolf is probably ruining my reputation as a candidate for the Dragon Gate," Li Rui couldn't help but laugh.
"As long as you leave this place, we will immediately cease our attack!" The one-eyed Wolf King smiled, but his gaze was sharp as he stared at Li Rui's back, causing the latter to frown.
"Is that you? Cai'er?"
At that moment, a woman took off her feather cloak. Her face looked somewhat haggard, as if she had been traveling long distances with Li Rui.
"Are you leaving?" Cai'er asked anxiously. After hearing the Wolf King's words, she seemed to understand Li Rui's story. The mixed feelings in her heart were beyond words to express. What frustrated her most was that the person she liked stood right in front of her yet remained unattainable.
Although Li Rui didn't want to stay there any longer, he had never abandoned someone else's affairs. Despite the princess being somewhat willful, she still had a kind heart; he didn't want her to fall into...
There was also another issue; it seemed that the Wolf King was very interested in Cai'er. Did she possess something special?
Li Rui stepped closer to Cai'er, who became very nervous. After witnessing the recent battle, she felt... perhaps it was her first time seeing such a bloody fight; each strike represented the demise of a wolf.
"What do you want?" Cai'er retreated.
"Can I take a look at your feather cloak?"
Cai Er thought for a moment and then tossed it into Li Rui's hands. As soon as he grabbed it, his heart sank. It was this kind of feeling, but strangely, he wondered what material it was made of that gave him the sensation of true energy being infused into it.
He didn't need true energy; even a tiny bit could unleash unexpected power from Li Rui.
"Hey, what was that just now?" Li Rui couldn't help but ask.
The smile on Wolf King's face suddenly vanished without a trace. He understood what Li Rui was thinking—wasn't he just wanting to...
Then the latter let out a howl and attempted to charge forward.
Li Rui casually pointed five fingers, with no embellishments, only absolute power!
The five wolves under Li Rui's command fell with a loud bang, leaving a bloody scene!
Wolf King was dead, and the surrounding spirit beasts cheered. Only then did Li Rui realize what these spirit beasts were up to. The group of Thunder Wolves fled repeatedly, but at that moment, the spirit beasts standing beside Li Rui would not let them leave; it was simply impossible.
Li Rui quickly draped his feathered cloak over Cai Er, wrapping his body around her to shield her from the splattering blood.

Once the situation was resolved, Li Rui intended to leave. Little did he know he had already loosened his grip, while she showed no intention of letting go; instead, she held onto him tightly.
"Will you take me with you?" Cai Er asked.
Li Rui was momentarily taken aback. This girl lived a life of luxury in the kingdom, and her parents doted on her greatly. Why would she want to live a life on the edge with him? Besides, he already had four siblings at home; adding one more would be quite awkward.
But Cai Er refused to let go until he agreed, which made things quite awkward for him.
In an attempt to get out of the situation quickly, he agreed with a simple "yes," unaware that Cai Er had cleverly set him up. After a lot of back and forth, she finally asked, "Then will you marry me?"
Only after responding with "yes" did Li Rui realize that true feelings have never been able to hold someone back; only clever schemes can win hearts!
Li Rui felt uneasy about having her by his side; there was always an uncomfortable feeling lingering!
"My good princess, let me take you back! Don't follow me anymore, really..."
Cai Er glared at Li Rui and then hugged him tightly.
As they were playfully bickering, night fell. It just so happened that Li Rui discovered a cave that had no spirit beasts, and inside there were many dry leaves, perfect for starting a fire.
In the dead of night, Li Rui watched as Cai Er slept beside the fire. He touched his heavy ring, seemingly lost in thought, completely forgetting that the ring was gone.
He felt a bit awkward and looked at the sleeping princess Cai Er; her figure was truly...
As he pondered, Li Rui tilted his head slightly and shook it repeatedly. There were more important things to do! He needed to quickly recover his meridians, but how would he find the medicinal herbs?
Cai Er naturally curled up a bit. Li Rui worried that she might be cold, but it was frustrating that his clothes were torn, making it awkward to cover her. A casual movement accidentally brushed against her hand, which felt surprisingly cool.
He felt frustrated for quite some time before he finally forced a smile and shook his head. He then pulled her into his embrace; his body temperature gradually rose, and it seemed to have a good effect!
During this time, Li Rui tried countless times to regulate his breathing and circulate his energy, but it was frustrating that he couldn't find a good method. It seemed he needed a specific herb and had to crush it and swallow it!
