These cubs clearly had no beastly instincts left, lying listlessly on the ground. They completely ignored Li Rui's entrance, evidently mistaking him for the Fire Phoenix, with only a few casting pleading glances at him.

Li Rui moved as lightly as a feather, afraid of making even the slightest noise. He extended his arm and leaped, his ankle twisting as he climbed over a slope. Immediately after, there was an even steeper incline. He placed his hands on the ground, straightened his waist, and pushed hard with his feet, struggling to advance up the slope.
At that moment, Li Rui climbed to a steep yellow-brown hillside; it couldn't be described as steep—it was almost sheer.
The soil here was loose and crumbly; as soon as Li Rui stepped in, he sank into it. Not only that, but while only some small stones had fallen before, now large clumps of earth were tumbling down into the cave with a rapid sound: "Crash, rumble, thud."
Li Rui broke out in a cold sweat. He thought to himself: if he disturbed the sleeping Fire Phoenixes below, how could he escape unscathed?
Suddenly, Li Rui slipped; his right foot lost its footing and some large rocks tumbled down the steep slope with a loud noise, followed by a series of piercing screams echoing in his ears.
Frightened out of his wits, Li Rui frantically scrambled up the stone steps towards the cave entrance, not daring to pause for even a moment.
Unexpectedly, he still startled the sleeping Fire Phoenixes. Faced with so many of them, Li Rui felt a chill run down his spine.
Hearing the frantic cries behind him, Li Rui had no choice but to bounce off the mountain wall. Although the path was winding and rocky, he flew while turning sideways to dodge obstacles and headed for the cave entrance.
With a swift motion, Li Rui flew out of the cave. Under the sunlight, he drew a white streak across the sky.
Following him were several large Fire Phoenixes with fierce expressions and murderous intent. They soared into the air, creating immense gusts of wind that caused ripples in space.
Li Rui's heart sank; his brows furrowed as his mind raced to find a way to escape.
The enraged Fire Phoenixes behind him unleashed jets of scorching magma. The others followed suit, and several fiery columns lit up the air accompanied by thunderous roars that filled the atmosphere with overwhelming force!
Li Rui dodged a fire pillar with a flash of his phoenix wings, but at this moment, he felt his stamina waning. His energy was about to be exhausted after such a long period of intense battle. His lips were cracked and he felt uncomfortable all over. He quickly took out a water bottle and gulped down several large mouthfuls, instantly feeling revitalized. He accelerated his phoenix wings once again to evade the fire pillar's attack.
The fire pillars of the Fire Phoenix were no joke. The fire pillar that Li Rui dodged crashed into the primitive forest below, exploding like powerful dynamite and sending sparks flying. A raging inferno erupted, becoming uncontrollable.
Li Rui realized he could not just keep dodging; he had to take the initiative. Only by controlling the situation could he have a chance to escape.
He dashed toward the forest at lightning speed, bringing his hands together above his head like a rocket, slicing through the flames that leapt from the towering trees. Several ancient trees, engulfed in flames, were sent flying into the air by Li Rui's strike.
Next, Li Rui hurled the burning trees into the Fire Phoenix's cave.
Although it was damp inside and there was little combustible material, the Fire Phoenix's flames were exceptionally fierce, using its own body as fuel. Smoke billowed up, accompanied by hoarse cries.
The cave entrance rumbled as the Fire Phoenix could no longer withstand its own flames and rushed out in a panic.
Seizing the opportunity, Li Rui flew under a massive rock to avoid further attacks from the Fire Phoenix.
This rock seemed to be the Millennium Stone, incredibly sturdy and capable of withstanding the Fire Phoenix's fire pillars.
The stone should have cracked instantly, but its resilience surprised the Fire Phoenix, prompting it to increase its firepower as waves of flames surged forth.
Li Rui felt a heat radiating from behind him; the scorching flames were about to cook the Millennium Stone, yet it still showed no signs of cracking and remained steadfast.
One of the Fire Phoenixes could no longer bear it. It soared into the air with its claws extended, diving toward the stone. Li Rui noticed a shadow approaching from above, blocking out the sunlight.
The Fire Phoenix grasped the massive stone and flapped its wings vigorously. Its claws gripped tightly as it lifted the stone effortlessly.
Li Rui broke out in a cold sweat; how could this stone weigh tens of thousands of kilograms and yet be lifted so easily by the Fire Phoenix? He shuddered at the thought of what would happen if he faced off against the Fire Phoenix directly.
At that moment, he heard several people outside mocking him, "Haha, this kid is doomed."
"Can a few Fire Phoenixes really deal with just one of him?" someone sneered.
Li Rui thought to himself, you might not think too highly of me, Li Rui. He then swiftly leaped into the air, instantly escaping and gliding through the sky. The pursuing Fire Phoenixes were unwilling to back down, still grasping the giant rock as they flew after Li Rui.
In the air, the slender body of Li Rui contrasted sharply with the massive Fire Phoenixes clutching the giant rock, creating a scene that was both astonishing and comical.
As Li Rui moved gracefully, he quietly circulated his energy. His entire body radiated brilliance as he infused True Qi into his attack. He turned around and struck out, unleashing a massive wave of white energy that surged forward with great momentum. Even the surrounding air rippled in response. The Fire Phoenix could not withstand this assault; it first leaned backward and then fell to the ground like it was lifeless, barely clinging to life.
Just then, one Fire Phoenix attempted to struggle out of the cave, but the giant rock happened to land right at the cave's entrance, blocking it completely. The other Fire Phoenixes inside were still trapped; due to the winding paths within the cave, if they forced their way out, they risked losing their wings. That particular Fire Phoenix exerted all its strength to charge at the rock. Seeing this, Li Rui used the Four Symbol Respecting Cauldron to block it without unleashing its full power. The Fire Phoenix inside watched as its companions outside were being roasted alive—what a tragedy!
The remaining Fire Phoenixes soon reached the cave entrance, flapping their wings. Their bodies blazed like a mountain of flames, and the surging fire could not be extinguished. Suddenly, a large group of Fire Phoenixes turned into a mass of fireballs.
Seeing this, Li Rui couldn't help but burst into laughter; this was clearly what he had anticipated—a scheme.
The one Fire Phoenix was dumbfounded, having personally killed its own companions. Inside were hundreds of Fire Phoenixes, all exceptionally skilled in their techniques, some even having their own parents among them.
