When Director Adam stood in the central square of the shelter, facing the gathered residents, his voice was loud and clear, attempting to maintain order and stability at this critical moment. The dormitory allocation work is being carried out in an orderly manner under Adam's instructions. The staff in blue uniforms are busy shuttling back and forth in the shelter, ensuring that each resident is properly accommodated. Residents with family and romantic relationships are given priority in dormitory assignments, and they are guided to their new homes one by one. The design of these dormitories takes into consideration the comfort and privacy of living spaces, with each room occupying approximately 13 to 15 square meters and equipped with basic furniture and necessary living supplies.

Jack realized that although he and his three roommates came from different backgrounds and had different personalities, they were now all living together in this enclosed shelter, reflecting the diverse composition of the shelter's society. Each of them carried their own stories and experiences and now had to learn to adapt and cooperate with each other in this new environment.
Dali, one of the roommates, took the initiative to introduce himself. His voice was loud and confident: "Hello everyone, I'm Dali, 32 years old. I used to work in a high-end restaurant as a head chef." His face carried an optimistic smile, showing his pride in his past profession.
Jack reached out to shake hands with Dali. He immediately felt the strength in Dali's hand and the calluses on his palm, clear signs of long hours spent working in the kitchen. The feel of Dali's hand indicated that he was an experienced and highly skilled chef. Jack felt curious and excited about Dali's culinary skills, hoping to taste his cooking in the shelter's life.
Later, Jack also introduced himself to the other roommates: "Hi, I'm Jack, a college student majoring in environmental science." His tone was calm and friendly, with a hint of a smile on his face.
This brief self-introduction gives Jack's roommates a preliminary understanding of him. Their relationships with each other are slowly beginning to develop, and everyone is working hard to adapt to this new shared living environment. In this situation, understanding each other's backgrounds and expertise not only helps with communication but also forms the basis of trust and collaboration.
The slender roommate, named Owen, looks somewhat introverted and melancholic. He introduces himself in a soft but clear voice, "My name is Owen, and I am an electronic systems specialist at a security company, mainly responsible for maintaining and repairing various electronic equipment." There is a hint of unease and worry in his eyes, but at the same time, there is professional confidence in his work. He continues, "I am thirty-five years old."
Finally, it was the turn of the middle-aged man who had asked Adam a question in the square. His demeanor appeared more confident and composed as he introduced himself, saying, "I am Bruce, previously a manager at a well-known company." His tone carried a kind of decisiveness and dignity from the business world, seemingly proud of his past professional status.
The backgrounds and experiences of these four individuals are all unique, ranging from culinary skills, electronic expertise, to management skills. Each person entered the shelter with their own unique story and skills. As Jack listened to their introductions, he silently pondered that such a diverse combination might be able to play different roles and make contributions in the shelter's life.
Although they have just met, they both realize that in this new living environment, they need to support and collaborate with each other. Jack feels a sense of relief, knowing that meeting professionals from different fields in the shelter will be a learning and growth opportunity. He looks forward to facing the upcoming challenges with his roommates and finding his place in this enclosed world.
