In the night, Azure Valley became lively again. The roars of Fierce Beasts echoed, occasionally mixed with the screams of people or beasts. It was uncertain which unfortunate fellow had met their demise.
"Brother Zhao, we are almost at Lava Cave. I hope we make it in time." The three figures were the same group that had appeared at the entrance of Azure Valley a few days ago. Unexpectedly, their destination was also Lava Cave. Moreover, one person was missing!

He felt fortunate that he hadn't acted recklessly earlier.
Once the Flame Serpent appeared, it intimidated most of the Fierce Beasts. However, the allure of the Fire Lotus still made them ignore its high-level pressure as they surged forward like moths drawn to a flame.
"Hiss..." The enraged Flame Serpent swung its tail, splashing large amounts of lava. Many of the Fierce Beasts that failed to dodge fell to the ground with agonized cries; they were not capable of surviving in lava and could not withstand such temperatures.
Yet even then, the Flame Serpent was relentless; it opened its mouth and gathered a surge of fiery energy before unleashing it. Five or six unfortunate Fierce Beasts that were too close were instantly reduced to ashes.
"The Flame Serpent truly lives up to its reputation; even after using its beast technique, it shows no signs of weakness. Although the environment plays a role, its own strength cannot be underestimated." Ren Pingsheng's eyebrows twitched in surprise at the power of the Flame Serpent's beast technique.
"Roar..." The only remaining High-Level Beast could no longer hold back. It was a Flame Wolf, with faint red flames flickering all over its body. It leaped forward with astonishing speed, reaching right in front of the Flame Serpent.
The Flame Serpent was clearly startled; it opened its mouth wide and retaliated by biting back. The Flame Wolf retracted its claws and then struck out again, hitting the Flame Serpent's body and tearing off a few scales.
"Hiss..." The Flame Serpent let out a cry, its tail whipping like a shadow of a whip, striking back. The Flame Wolf yelped in pain as it was sent flying several yards away. However, it quickly jumped back into the fray, and the two Fierce Beasts fought fiercely.
Suddenly, a figure flashed into view by the Magma Pool, and in another instant, it appeared next to the Fire Lotus. With a swift motion, it reached out to pluck the lotus pod from the Fire Lotus.
"Hiss... Roar..." The two high-level Fierce Beasts, their eyes flashing with ferocity, were enraged by this sudden intruder. The serpent's tail coiled and lashed out again. The Flame Wolf turned swiftly, its fiery claws reaching out.
"Damn beast, how dare you ruin my plans!" That Brother Zhao shouted angrily but reluctantly gave up, spinning in mid-air to appear by the Magma Pool.
"Fierce Tiger Descends!" He swung his large sword down with force, creating a gust that pushed the Lava down nearly half a meter, showcasing extraordinary power.
With a 'bang', the great sword collided with the Flame Serpent. Brother Zhao staggered back two steps. Seeing the shallow wound on the serpent, he exclaimed in surprise, "What a powerful beast; it didn't suffer much damage at all."
In an instant, the two high-level Fierce Beasts and one human found themselves in an inexplicable standoff.
As for the other lower-level and Intermediate Fierce Beasts, they had already suffered significant losses in just a short time. Those that remained were also heavily injured. Realizing there was no hope of obtaining the Fire Lotus, they let out mournful cries before fleeing in disarray.
