Ren Pingsheng moved like a ghost, and in just a few breaths, six Inner Sect Disciples had already died at his hands. Now, only nine Inner Sect Disciples remained alive. Apart from the three leading ones, the other six wore expressions of sheer terror, as if they had seen a demon.
"Hehe... a bunch of poor fools blinded by greed, thinking they could take me on with such little strength," Ren Pingsheng mocked with a grin. His white teeth appeared chillingly sharp to the others, clearly marking him as a demon that preyed on the weak.
"Very well, who shall be next? How about you?" He pointed with a twisted sense of humor at a pale-faced disciple from the Tiger Howl Sect.
"Ah! Don't kill me, I give up, I'll leave right now!" The Tiger Howl Sect disciple's face turned ashen upon seeing Ren Pingsheng's finger pointing at him. He hurriedly stepped back while crying out in fear.
"Too late. Your life will be left here!"
"Don't kill me..." As he saw Ren Pingsheng move, his sanity seemed to collapse, and he turned to flee in panic, no longer resembling a martial artist.
Unfortunately, after running just over ten meters, he fell to the ground with a thud. Blood gushed out, staining the ground red.
"I thought you would save him; it seems I overestimated you," Ren Pingsheng said as he wiped the blood from his sword and glanced at the three leaders with indifference.
"Hmph, I have to admit that your Movement Technique is quite impressive. But do you really think we are afraid of you?" Feng Jiewu gripped his long sword tightly, his knuckles turning slightly white, revealing that he was not as calm as he pretended to be.
"Oh really? Then I'll deal with a few small fries first and see what impressive tricks you have," he said as he flicked his long sword again and vanished once more.
The bizarre situation unfolded again. The remaining five Inner Sect Disciples found that whether they tried to resist, flee, or beg for mercy, it was all futile. One by one, they were struck down by a single sword strike—either in the throat or the heart. The wounds were small, but the explosive force had already severed their chances of survival.
"Only you three are left. I've faced many in the top ten of the Inner Sect; I'm just curious how strong you really are," Ren Pingsheng said with a grin as he stepped toward them.
"If Tortoise Shell were truly not in your hands, we wouldn't need to fight to the death," said the disciple from Azure Wind Sword Sect, forcing a smile that looked strained.
"Don't you think it's too late for that now?"
"Stop talking so much! As long as we kill him, everything will be over. Do you really think you can escape?" Feng Jiewu shouted angrily, both reminding himself and urging the other two. With a swing of his long sword, he charged unhesitatingly toward Ren Pingsheng.
The other two hesitated for a moment before also making their move. At this point, it was too late to hold back.
Ren Pingsheng's long sword trembled in his hand, and three Sword Lights met the attacks from the three individuals. In the end, the attacks canceled each other out; it was merely a probing attack.
"Kill..." The three figures moved, surrounding Ren Pingsheng from three directions, unleashing their sword techniques with astonishing power. If it were an ordinary person, they would have been flustered by the onslaught of these three masters.
However, Ren Pingsheng merely glanced at them calmly. With a flicker of his figure, countless phantoms appeared, and his true self had already emerged outside their encirclement, watching them with a light smile.
"Hmph, let's see how long you can escape." Feng Jiewu snorted angrily as the three attacked once more. In an instant, Sword Lights filled the air and intertwined, forming a net that tightly enveloped Ren Pingsheng.
Seeing that Ren Pingsheng had nowhere to escape, the three were overjoyed. In their eyes, Ren Pingsheng was merely skilled in Movement Technique; now that he was trapped, he would surely be unable to fly away.
"Slash!" Ren Pingsheng swept his long sword to block the attacks of two of them and retreated. He pointed his sword at Feng Jiewu like a flickering cold star, aiming directly at his forehead.
"Break!" Feng Jiewu shouted loudly, advancing instead of retreating, swinging his sword down. Ren Pingsheng's sword moved like a spirit snake, dodging the opponent's blade and reaching Feng Jiewu's forehead with a chilling killing intent surging forth.
Feng Jiewu's expression hardened; disregarding the attack before him, he maintained his Sword Momentum and struck towards Ren Pingsheng's chest with overwhelming force. He was still intent on taking them both down together. The two behind him saw this opportunity and quickly followed up with their attacks aimed at Ren Pingsheng.
If it had been before, Ren Pingsheng would have definitely dodged. However, now he felt confident enough not to evade. This time he wanted to test the power of Thousand Silk Armor; for something meant to save his life, it was best to master it as early as possible and understand its capabilities thoroughly.
"Bang... Bang..." The attacks from the three landed simultaneously on Ren Pingsheng. His sword also struck Feng Jiewu's forehead with unexpected strength. This outcome clearly surprised Feng Jiewu; initially, he thought that Ren Pingsheng would surely dodge. Otherwise, there would only be a dead end.
Yet the current situation left him puzzled; there was clearly an opportunity to evade, yet he chose mutual destruction—only a fool would do such a thing.
"You..." A thumb-sized blood hole appeared in Feng Jiewu's forehead. Still in disbelief, he reached up to touch it. He pointed at Ren Pingsheng in terror but never got the chance to utter a word before he fell lifelessly.
The Inner Sect Disciples from Azure Wind Sword Sect and Yunxing Sect were stunned when their attacks hit Ren Pingsheng's back. It felt as if they had struck a mass of soft willow fluff; only this fluff had astonishing defensive power that blocked all their attacks.
"Treasure Armor!" This thought simultaneously arose in both of their minds as they felt a chill run down their spines.
In the moment when the two were deeply lost in their emotions, Ren Pingsheng swiftly turned his sword, and with a flicker like Ghostly Light, it reached the chest of the Yunxing Sect disciple. He had just reacted when Ren Pingsheng raised his sword, intending to block the strike. But how could Ren Pingsheng give him that chance? The speed of the sword suddenly increased, piercing directly through his heart before he could defend himself.
"Poof..." The inner disciple of the Yunxing Sect spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed weakly. This immediately alerted the inner disciple of the Canglan Sword Sect.
His face turned pale, and he could no longer care about Ren Pingsheng. He retreated rapidly, shooting back over twenty feet in an instant. He was actually trying to escape.
"You can't escape." Ren Pingsheng said calmly with a smile. His figure appeared beside him out of nowhere, and his sword thrust forward as if a nightmare awaited him.
"How... is this possible? To appear silently like this. Such Movement Technique does not exist in the Canglan Sword Sect. For the sake of our shared sect, spare me." Seeing the silent sword approaching from the side, his face turned extremely ugly as he retreated again, panic in his eyes as he pleaded.
"Shared sect? Ha, what a joke. I gave you a choice before, but unfortunately..." Ren Pingsheng sighed lightly, his tone indifferent. To him now, being part of the same sect held no binding power.
Seeing that the other party wanted to say something else, he had no interest in listening further. With one swing of his sword, a light golden sword beam cut through the void and appeared before the inner disciple of the Canglan Sword Sect. As he desperately tried to block it, Ren Pingsheng had already appeared at his side, slicing through his throat with one stroke.
"It seems Pan Longkun didn't tell you that he is not my opponent; otherwise, you wouldn't dare to attack me." Looking at the confusion and disbelief in his eyes, Ren Pingsheng said calmly.
"You... he didn't..." His eyes widened in shock or fear; it was hard to tell. But none of that mattered anymore; for a dead man, everything was irrelevant.
"Greed brings disaster; what a pity..." A sigh drifted away with the wind, leaving behind a ground full of corpses and an indescribable desolation.
However, this situation was quickly discovered by others. Soon all disciples from the Three Factions within the Canglan Secret Realm learned about it. When they recalled their pursuit of Ren Pingsheng and now found him missing while all their comrades were dead...
It was just Ren Pingsheng alone who had killed fifteen of their experts. Observing the surroundings and the expressions on the faces of those who had died revealed a complete one-sided massacre with little resistance.
In an instant, the name Ren Pingsheng became known to everyone in the Three Factions. He was a brutal figure with blood on his hands who would kill anyone without hesitation. No one dared to target him anymore.
"Ren Pingsheng even spares no one from his own sect; how dare he! How dare he!" Pan Longkun cried out in front of several inner disciples with a face full of pity and anger.
"Senior Brother Pan, should we take action against him?" suggested one of the inner disciples.
"Time is running out; there are only three more hours until the secret realm ends. Let's wait until we return and let the Elders handle it," he said, his eyes narrowing. Although his tone was calm, the deep apprehension was evident.
There were still many battles to be fought, but none of it concerned Ren Pingsheng anymore. No one dared to trouble him again; he found a spot at the original exit and sat quietly. The three hours passed quickly.
"The power of the Thousand Silk Armor is indeed impressive; it can block attacks from opponents of the same level without even using Spiritual Energy. Based on what happened earlier, it seems that no one at the Qi Refinement Stage could break through this defense. Truly a treasure!" Ren Pingsheng thought back on everything that had just happened, feeling quite satisfied.
With a soft rumble, the exit of the Azure Wind Secret Realm appeared. It was similar to when he entered: first a black crack, which eventually formed into a Light Gate measuring ten feet in both width and height.
As soon as the Light Gate formed, several figures flew in from afar. It was easy to see that they had formed three teams based on their sects, standing close together and warily watching the other two teams. Each team was surrounded by varying numbers of Tortoise Shells. The Azure Wind Sword Sect had three, the Tiger Howl Sect had three, and the Yunxing Sect had two.
"It seems that the two Tortoise Shells that changed hands midway were acquired by the Azure Wind Sword Sect. The Tortoise Shells in Wu Yang's and Wu Zhi Dao's hands should still be with them. I just wonder where the last one ended up; it must still be hidden, waiting to appear at the last moment."
After a casual glance, Ren Pingsheng had a good idea of the situation. However, he wasn't interested in these things. With a flicker of his figure, he arrived at the entrance and stepped through.
"It's him!" Many recognized Ren Pingsheng and looked on in surprise.
"But what about the Tortoise Shells he had? I heard he still possessed two. Now he doesn't have any," this puzzled many people.
After that battle, fifteen Inner Sect Disciples had fallen, including three who were among the top ten Inner Sect Disciples. Yet no one believed anyone could have taken Tortoise Shells from him.
However, they only wondered for a moment before turning their guarded gazes back to others, cautiously stepping into the Light Gate to be transported out of the Azure Wind Secret Realm.
