"Little beast, isn't this the direction of Azure Valley? You don't intend to take me to your Azure Wind Sword Sect, do you?" Zhao Jingshan's expression turned cold as he asked sternly. 0

"Hmph, I met your son in Azure Valley; otherwise, do you think I went to your Tiger Howl Sect to kill him?" Ren Pingsheng replied irritably. At this point, he had no reason to be polite. 0

"You... I hope you aren't lying to me; otherwise, I will make you wish you were dead." 0

Both of them moved quickly. Although Ren Pingsheng was seriously injured, he had recovered somewhat due to the healing medicine. However, his right arm still hurt terribly and seemed unlikely to heal anytime soon. 0

About an hour later, two figures appeared at the entrance of Azure Valley. 0

"Little beast, we have arrived at Azure Valley; quickly tell me where my son's body is." The suppressed emotions along the way seemed to explode all at once, and Zhao Jingshan was like an enraged lion, his hair standing on end. 0

"What's the rush? Since I've brought you here, I will naturally tell you," Ren Pingsheng completely ignored Zhao Jingshan's anger and walked slowly to a nearby small hill. "If I remember correctly, it should be here. But let's confirm first; maybe I remembered wrong!" 0

"Get out of the way!" As soon as Ren Pingsheng finished speaking, Zhao Jingshan charged forward, his hands flying as dust rose into the air. 0

Ren Pingsheng obediently moved aside; he was afraid of what irrational actions Zhao Jingshan might take in his fury. Besides that, he also considered what would happen next. 0

He knew that once Zhao Zhuo's body was unearthed, he would no longer be of any use. Given his current state, he feared he might truly end up without a burial place. 0

"This old fellow is a Mid-Level Warrior; I hope I can deal with him when the time comes! Otherwise, this time it seems truly perilous. Also, my left hand should be fine, right?" Ren Pingsheng muttered to himself as he pondered something. 0

"Ah... my son, how tragically you died!" Suddenly, amidst the swirling dust came Zhao Jingshan's heart-wrenching cries. It seemed they had already dug up his son's body. 0

He had been blessed with a late child; Zhao Zhuo was born when he was eighty years old. Feeling that there was little hope for significant advancement in his cultivation, he married and had a son. He devoted all his thoughts to Zhao Zhuo and nurtured him diligently. Zhao Zhuo had good talent and lived up to expectations, becoming an Inner Sect Disciple in just over a year. 0

If he continues to cultivate at this speed, he will surely achieve greater accomplishments than he himself. Zhao Jingshan was overjoyed. However, before he could formulate his next training plan, devastating news arrived. His son had gone missing, and there had been no word for an entire month. 0

Now, seeing Zhao Zhuo, who had almost completely turned into a skeleton, his sorrow was unimaginable. 0

In the past, Ren Pingsheng would have been very upset as well, but now he merely cast a faint glance, his emotions showing no signs of disturbance. He had long seen through this world; it was a brutal place where the weak were preyed upon by the strong. It was either you kill or be killed. There was no right or wrong, no clear distinction between good and evil. 0

If Ren Pingsheng hadn’t killed Zhao Zhuo back then, it might have been him who died. Now that Zhao Jingshan wanted to kill him, how could he just sit back and wait for death? Whether cold-blooded or heartless, all struggles and changes were merely for the sake of living better—that was all. 0

“Zhuo'er, don’t worry. I will avenge you soon. I will tear him into pieces to honor your spirit in heaven. Rest assured, you won’t be alone. I will make him and his family pay with their lives,” Zhao Jingshan murmured to the corpse, stroking its cheek with a mix of laughter and tears. 0

Unknowingly, the day was about to pass. 0

The setting sun bled red across the land. The wild grass and trees swayed in the evening breeze, their shadows brazenly flaunting themselves like monsters ready to devour anyone. Coupled with the occasional fierce roar of a Fierce Beast, the atmosphere around them was eerily terrifying. 0

“You little beast, you’ve lived too long; now it’s time for you to pay for my son’s life!” Zhao Jingshan slowly stood up and walked step by step toward Ren Pingsheng. His expression was unclear, but his voice sent chills down one’s spine. 0

“Die! Die! Die!” he roared as streams of True Qi surged from his palms like a torrential storm, disrupting everything around them. 0

Ren Pingsheng could only keep dodging, maximizing his ability to evade as he flickered in and out of shadows within thirty yards, avoiding attack after attack. He had no strength left to counterattack; he only needed to find an opportune moment for a final strike. 0

“Hey hey, run! Jump! Once you fall into my hands, I will slice your flesh piece by piece; I will grind your bones to dust. You will wail in agony and experience the most brutal punishment.” 0

With a bang! Ren Pingsheng accidentally took a hit; his blood surged and his body swayed unsteadily. However, he reacted quickly; as the second stream of True Qi came at him, he vanished once more. 0

“This old fool hasn’t let hatred cloud his mind; he still has some rationality left. But it’s still impossible to get close; it seems I’ll have to provoke him further,” Ren Pingsheng thought as he paused briefly before retreating rapidly without looking back. 0

“You little beast, where do you think you’re going?” Zhao Jingshan shouted loudly and immediately pursued at high speed. 0

"Now!" His previously fleeing figure suddenly vanished, reappearing behind Zhao Jingshan, and with another flicker, he was beside Zhao Zhuo's corpse. 0

"Old man, since you don't want to let me go today, I'll destroy your son's body." Ren Pingsheng chuckled, and the surrounding spiritual energy surged as he slowly raised his hand. 0

"You little beast, you dare!" Zhao Jingshan was furious, his eyes turning blood red as he rushed forward, barely retaining any semblance of rationality. 0

"Old man, go die!" He calmly watched as Zhao Jingshan charged at him, silently reciting in his heart. In his left palm lay a black object the size of a longan—indeed it was a Thunderbolt. 0

With a gentle shake of his left hand, Zhao Zhuo's corpse flew out, the black Thunderbolt closely following behind, unnoticed. 0

"Zhuo'er, are you okay?" Zhao Jingshan rushed over, his right hand reaching out to catch the corpse. He nervously looked down and saw that the body was unharmed. Before he could breathe a sigh of relief, the black Thunderbolt was already approaching him. 0

"Boom..." He barely caught a glimpse with his peripheral vision before he was engulfed by the violent explosion and the Fire Sea. The dust and fallen leaves kicked up by the shockwave soared over ten feet high before slowly drifting back down. 0

"Is that old guy dead?" Ren Pingsheng wondered uncertainly, staring intently at the explosion area that was beginning to calm down. He had only heard Zhao Jingshan's scream at first, and then there was no more sound. 0

"Damn it, this old guy really has a tough life; he didn't die from that." Seeing a figure covered in black slowly emerge from the one-foot-deep crater at the center of the explosion, his face turned pale; he could no longer remain calm. 0

"My son, you died so tragically!" Zhao Jingshan mournfully stroked a bone over a foot long in his hand. His condition wasn't much better; there was a half-foot-long wound on his chest from which dark blood continuously flowed. His back was even worse, with deep wounds visible down to the bone. 0

Whether it was due to excessive blood loss or overwhelming sorrow, his face was deathly pale as he coughed intermittently, each time spitting out bright red blood. 0

"You little beast who deserves to be cut into a thousand pieces! I should have killed you sooner. Kill you! Kill you!" Zhao Jingshan roared as he charged forward like a whirlwind. 0

Ren Pingsheng flipped his left hand, revealing a gleaming sword that appeared in his grasp. Spiritual energy surged around the sword as he sprang forward with a push of his toes. 0

"Slash!" He shouted loudly, increasing the speed of his strike by threefold as he disregarded the fist that had already reached him. What he needed to do now was kill the person in front of him, even if it came at some cost. Otherwise, once Zhao Jingshan regained consciousness and rationality, it would be him who would end up dead. 0

"Bang... Ah..." Ren Pingsheng's sword slashed across Zhao Jingshan's chest, tearing at the original wound once more. Blood sprayed all over him. Zhao Jingshan's fist, with a slight dodge from Ren Pingsheng, only struck his left shoulder. 0

This time, he fully activated the defense of the Thousand Silk Armor; he was no longer afraid of being discovered. Previously, he relied on the inherent defense of the Thousand Silk Armor to hold on. The reason he didn't activate it at first was merely to deceive Zhao Jingshan. Moreover, fully activating the Thousand Silk Armor consumed too much Spiritual Energy. In high-intensity battles, it would deplete his Spiritual Energy in just a few breaths. 0

However, the current situation was not optimistic. Although he had defended against most of the force, Ren Pingsheng's left shoulder was still dislocated, and he couldn't even lift his sword. The situation was extremely critical. 0

"I can't die here; how can I die here?" Ren Pingsheng, lying on the ground, forced a smile as blood gushed out. He rolled over and pressed himself against the ground, suddenly twisting his body, and with a 'crack,' his left shoulder popped back into place, albeit in a rather rough manner. 0

"Sss..." After this, it seemed he would need to rest well; he spat out a mouthful of blood and ignored the cold sweat on his forehead as he picked up the sword from the ground again. 0

"Kill!" Without any hesitation, he flashed to Zhao Jingshan's side. Zhao Jingshan, who had just stood up after being knocked back, looked worse off than Ren Pingsheng; however, relying on his Warrior Strongman cultivation, his momentum showed no signs of weakening. 0

"Kill!" Zhao Jingshan shouted hoarsely, the intense pain bringing some clarity to his expression. Ren Pingsheng frowned, knowing that they could not drag this out any longer; whether due to injuries or otherwise, it had to be a quick resolution. 0

"I hope this works on Warrior Strongman too!" He sighed lightly. At the moment both were about to attack each other, the Sword Momentum within him erupted with full force, striving for that glimmer of victory. 0

"Kill!" A flash of joy appeared on Ren Pingsheng's face as his sharp sword pierced through Zhao Jingshan's heart. 0

"Ah!" Zhao Jingshan roared madly, raining down punches like a storm upon Ren Pingsheng. 0

"Puff..." Ren Pingsheng spat out several mouthfuls of blood as his body flew backward and crashed heavily onto the ground, unresponsive. 0
