After I left home, my once warm and harmonious family finally began to fall apart. The conflict between Shen Xi and Shen Mingxu deepened, and they argued incessantly, blaming each other every day.
"It's all your fault!" Shen Xi glared at Shen Mingxu and said angrily, "If it weren't for your greed, I would have become an internet celebrity by now and made a lot of money!"
"What does that have to do with me?" Shen Mingxu replied coldly. "You're just not working hard enough. Besides, you've already failed; there's no way to turn it around now."
"How dare you say that!" Shen Xi's face turned red with anger. "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have even considered becoming an internet celebrity! If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have fallen to this point!"
"Why are you blaming me?" Shen Mingxu was also furious. "You have no talent, yet you come to blame me! You're just a burden; if it weren't for you, our family wouldn't be in this state!"
"Who are you calling that?" Shen Xi was infuriated by his words. "You worthless piece of trash, how dare you insult me!"
"I'll insult you if I want to! So what?" Shen Mingxu looked at her defiantly. "You're just a burden, a useless person dreaming of making money through live streaming!"
"You—" Shen Xi trembled with rage and rushed up to Shen Mingxu, slapping him hard across the face.
"Are you really hitting me?" Shen Mingxu covered his face in shock as he stared at her.
"I'm hitting you!" Shen Xi said fiercely.
"You bitch!" Shen Mingxu shouted in frustration and charged at Shen Xi, starting to fight her.
The two of them instantly became entangled in a chaotic struggle. Their parents rushed over, trying to pull them apart, but the fight was too intense for them to separate the two.
"Stop fighting! Please stop!" their mother cried out.
But her cries were ineffective; Shen Xi and Shen Mingxu were blinded by rage, hurling the most vicious insults at each other and attacking with brutal force.
In this fierce fight, Shen Xi gained the upper hand. She pulled Shen Mingxu's hair and scratched his face with her nails.
Shen Mingxu refused to back down and kicked her down to the ground.
"If you dare hit me again, you'll regret it!" he glared at Shen Xi menacingly.
Shen Xi was frightened by his gaze and stood frozen in place, unable to move.
"This life is unbearable!" their mother cried out in despair.
Their father looked pale with anger as he watched them, unable to speak.
After this family battle, Shen Xi and Shen Mingxu were both injured, their faces bruised and battered, looking quite disheveled.
Following this conflict, their relationship was completely shattered.
All of this was within my expectations.
When I learned of the news, I merely let out a cold laugh.
The downfall of this family brought me satisfaction.
I knew that everything they had done to me was simply retribution they deserved.
I have now completely freed myself from the shackles of this family.
I understand that no matter what they do, they can no longer affect me.
This family is just like that—rotten, twisted, and dark.
