Mina lowered her voice and asked me, "Now you know why I called Su Qian over, right?"
I looked up at her and could already understand the gist from her expression.
It wasn't just that we ordered too much food; it wasn't a casual call to a friend. Mina was clearly trying to get Su Qian to come over to gather some news from this circle, to find out what exactly happened with Xiao Minfeng that made Li Ru go find Xiao Minxing in tears, disregarding her image.
But Su Qian, being a wealthy young man from Haicheng, when did he have the time to join us in gossiping about others?

I didn't say anything more and sat there sipping my water. Although I had doubts in my mind, thinking of Xiao Minxing made me feel uneasy for him.
When he was down and out, no one from the Xiao Family helped him; he built his own path all by himself. Now things were a bit better, but he had just returned from the Hospital, and his Sister-in-law was quite rude in coming to see him.
I even thought that maybe she didn't really have business to discuss; she might just want to check on Xiao Minxing's condition.
By the time Su Qian arrived, the table was already filled with dishes.
Smelling those aromas and looking at the colorful dishes, I secretly swallowed several times.
Su Qian has always been good at reading people's hearts. As soon as he sat down, he quickly glanced at me and then said to Mina, "I know you called me out for no good reason, but right now, eating is the priority. I'm about to starve; we can talk about problems later."
I looked up at Mina, and she happened to look at me too. We both said in unison, "Okay."
In fact, the food wasn't as delicious as Mina had claimed. Perhaps it was because I had something on my mind that I felt very hungry when I smelled the food. However, when it came time to eat, I was already full after half a bowl of rice. Those beautifully presented dishes made me think of Xiao Minxing's cooking.
He rarely cooked, but his culinary skills were far superior to mine. At that moment, I thought that if the two of us could coexist peacefully in the future with him in the kitchen, it wouldn't be a bad thing. However, such a beautiful wish ultimately remained just a wish.
Su Qian didn't eat much either. He spent most of his time outside and came from a good family, so he probably got tired of delicacies. To him, these ordinary dishes were likely nothing special. If it weren't for Mina's sake, he probably wouldn't have come at all.
Mina not only ate but also took photos. After taking them, she lowered her head and fiddled with her phone for a while.
Later, when I scrolled through my social media feed, I didn't see her post anything, so I quietly asked, "So now you have to report to Zhuo Feng even when you're just having a meal?"
Mina almost rolled her eyes at me and retorted angrily, "Do you even know how to speak? I'm just craving him; what do you mean by reporting?"
No matter how she wanted to interpret it, it was fine with me. It seemed that Mina had really taken another step closer to Zhuo Feng.
After all three of us finished eating, Su Qian looked around and said, "How about we move somewhere else for a bit?"
It was dinner time, and the restaurant had filled up significantly since we arrived. There was a long line at the food counter, and all the tables inside were occupied. Conversations and laughter echoed around us; it wasn't really a good place for talking.
The three of us didn't walk far and turned into a nearby café.
Due to my pregnancy, I couldn't drink coffee, so Mina ordered a milk tea for me while she and Su Qian each got a latte.
Mina smiled and said, "I didn't realize that Su Young Master has such similar tastes to mine; we both ordered the same coffee."
Su Qian also laughed, glancing at the waiter in the distance and said, "They only have a few options here; I don't have any other choices."
His attitude quickly reminded me of the coffee shop at the seaside villa, which not only had many varieties but also unique offerings that are rarely seen in Haicheng.
I wondered if Su Qian was also thinking about it, as he glanced this way with a somewhat complicated expression, but it was quickly masked by the smile on his face.
He then shifted his gaze to Mina and asked, "Isn't Boss Zhuo in Hong Kong? Why didn't you go with him?"
Mina immediately retorted, "Just because he's in Hong Kong doesn't mean I have to go too!"
Before Su Qian could respond, she changed the subject and said, "Let's not talk about that; I have something to ask you today."
Su Qian looked at her with an expectant expression, showing no signs of gossip.
Mina didn't hold back and directly said, "Do you know about the Xiao Family? I'm talking about what happened with Xiao Family's eldest son, Xiao Minfeng."
When Su Qian heard Xiao Family, he shot me a glance, and his earlier demeanor shifted; his eyelids drooped slightly.
It wasn't until Mina finished speaking that he casually asked, "Why do you want to inquire about their family?"
Mina didn't mention seeing Li Ru in the afternoon; she only said she had heard some rumors and wanted to find out more.
After sitting quietly for a while and finishing half of his coffee, Su Qian looked at Mina and said, "Such matters are mostly just rumors; it's better not to discuss them too much for the sake of others and yourself."
Mina didn't know what was going on. Normally, if she heard this, she would definitely say nothing. But today, she surprisingly asked, "So you know something happened at his home?"
This made Su Qian glance at me again.
Fine, he probably thought I was eager to know about Xiao Minfeng.
Actually, I was indeed curious, but I didn't know this person at all and didn't think he had much to do with Xiao Minxing. So aside from being puzzled by Li Ru's behavior, I wasn't that enthusiastic about the matter.

I felt very awkward and couldn't quite understand what he meant by looking at me this time. I lowered my head and pretended to be very focused on drinking the milk tea in my cup.
Then I heard Su Qian say, "Xiao Minfeng has been keeping a woman outside and now has a child."
