She looked up at me, a smile slowly spreading across her face as she softly said, "I'm in a great mood. After so many years, I can finally get married and cause trouble for others."
I couldn't quite grasp the meaning behind her words and cautiously asked, "Longwen is treating you well, right?"
"Of course," Mina replied before turning the question back to us.
She asked a lot of questions, most of which were about the company, and I couldn't interject. Instead, Xiao Minxing sat across from her, and the two of them seriously discussed work before Mina's wedding.
In the end, I was sitting on the Sofa nearby, nearly falling asleep from listening, when Longwen came out of her parents' room with Ye Guang.
Even Su Qian called to ask about our situation, which finally made them stop talking.
After the Miyong couple was brought back, they were arranged to stay in a separate room. Although it was still the same hotel, they weren't in a suite.
He was very unhappy and shouted that he wanted to confront Mina. Su Qian shot him a glare and said, "I arranged this; what do you want to confront her about?"
Miyong then yelled, "We're here to support her! How could you make us stay in such a shabby place? Just because she has money doesn't mean she's better than us."
"Having money is impressive. If you had some too, you wouldn't be complaining here. There are plenty of hotels outside; you can pay for your own stay."
Mina's Parents quickly came over to mediate: "Alright, alright, you can stay in our room. I'll go out with your father."
Our jaws nearly dropped at that suggestion, but thankfully Su Qian reacted quickly: "No way! These rooms are registered. In high-end hotels like this in Hong Kong, once a room is booked under a name, no one else can stay there; otherwise, they'll be considered illegal residents."
This time my jaw really did drop.
Su Qian is quite something; I truly admire how he can come up with such things.
Miyong was furious and still wanted to say something when Xiao Minxing gave me a look to push Mina's Family back into their room. We all went back ourselves, leaving the couple outside.
According to Su Qian, they either need to settle down honestly or take their own money and find a place to stay.
Of course, they wouldn't take their own money; it seemed they didn't have much on them. So, just a few minutes after we entered the room, we heard Miyong cursing as he walked toward the elevator.
I took a breath and looked at Xiao Minxing, saying, "Mina's concerns are valid. These two are truly oddballs. What are we going to do in the future?"
He didn't respond, turning his head to look out the window as if he was deep in thought.
Once I finished packing my luggage, I walked over to stand by the window with him.
Outside, layers of buildings were visible from this height, and in the distance, I could see the harbor and ships sailing on the sea, though they were gradually becoming blurry under the nightfall.
Xiao Minxing said, "Call Sister Liu and ask about Xiao Zhe's situation."
I agreed and went to grab my mobile phone while he walked toward the door.
"Where are you going?" I asked as I followed him a couple of steps.
Xiao Minxing stopped at the entrance and turned to look at me. His expression was calm, but his eyes were dark and seemed to hide many things.
"I'm going to check on Miyong and see how Ye Guang is doing."
It wasn't until he left that I remembered Ye Guang had been following Longwen since they met. Where was Xiao Minxing planning to find him? Was he going to look for Longwen?
In a flurry, I called Sister Liu to confirm that Xiao Zhe and the others were fine before hanging up.
When I stepped outside to look for Xiao Minxing, I realized that not only did I not know where Miyong had been arranged to stay, but I also had no idea where Longwen and the others were staying.
I was standing there in a daze when I saw a door open not far away, and Su Qian came out with Zhuo Feng.
As soon as they saw me, they smiled and asked, "You weren't also starved out, were you?"
I shook my head and asked Su Qian, "Do you know where Miyong lives?"
He looked at me strangely and instead of answering, he asked, "What do you need him for? I was planning not to bring him when we go out for dinner later. Just bring him back something; as long as he doesn't starve to death, it's fine. That way he won't have to go out looking for trouble again."
I hurriedly said, "No, Xiao Minxing said to go check on him. I don't know how he's doing now."
Upon hearing this, Su Qian immediately replied, "Then you don't need to worry. He might be back soon; you should trust Xiao Zong's work."
Although he made a good point, I still felt a bit uneasy.
To change my focus, Su Qian smiled and said, "I've checked this hotel; the restaurant is on the fifth floor, and there are various entertainment venues on the upper floors. Let's go down and grab something to eat first, then we can head upstairs later. I'll temporarily act as your guide and let you experience some local entertainment."
I didn't agree at all but was dragged into the elevator by him.
However, as soon as we reached the fifth floor, we saw Xiao Minxing there too.
He was sitting not far from the elevator, facing us, so I spotted him immediately. Su Qian and Zhuo Feng naturally saw him as well.
We also noticed a woman sitting across from him.
Perhaps it was because Xiao Minxing glanced our way that the woman lowered her head at that moment.
What a beauty! Although she only had delicate features, her makeup was appropriate and her clothes were elegant. When she saw us, she smiled slightly, exuding an enchanting charm. She gently asked Xiao Minxing, "Are these your friends?"
Xiao Minxing has already gotten up and walked over to us. He walks quickly, and while I was sizing up the woman, he had already reached us and pulled me over without hesitation.
"This is my wife, Qiu Yuhan. I'm here to accompany her to her friend's wedding."
The woman stood up, and I hesitated for a moment before reaching out to shake her hand. Su Qian, however, had already come over at some point and enthusiastically shook her hand, saying, "Hello, we are all friends. My name is Su Qian."
The woman smiled lightly and softly said, "Chen Xiangzhi."
Su Qian's expression changed as if she had discovered a new continent. She immediately beamed and looked into her eyes, asking, "You are Miss Chen Xiangzhi, the daughter of Chen Zong? What a pleasure! I only heard that your father is in Haicheng, but I didn't expect to meet you here. What a surprise."
Chen Xiangzhi stepped back to the edge of the chair, reached for her bag, and then turned to Xiao Minxing, saying, "Xiao Zong, I have something to attend to. I'll take my leave now; you all chat."
She didn't look at us again and walked straight towards the elevator.
I only turned to Xiao Minxing after seeing the elevator doors close and asked, "What did she just say her name was?"
Su Qian and Zhuo Feng both looked at me strangely, and Xiao Minxing looked too but replied softly, "Chen Xiangzhi. It's the one I mentioned last time that didn't work out..."
"No, she should be called Miyong or Ye Guang. Didn't you say it was about looking at those two?"
