The spring rain, on night watch outside, was startled by a sudden noise. She hurried into the inner room, only to see her young mistress preparing to go out. "Miss, miss, what are you doing? It's raining outside, and there's thunder! It’s dangerous to go out!" 0

Yun Jiu turned back to glance at Chun Yu, a mysterious smile playing on her lips. "You stay inside and mind your own business. I'm going out to train, understand?" 0

Chun Yu looked bewildered. Training? She knew her mistress was serious about her training, but with thunder and rain outside, wasn’t it madness to go out now? 0

"Miss, you really shouldn’t go out. You can train once the rain stops," Chun Yu urged anxiously. 0

Yun Jiu grew impatient and waved her hand dismissively. "Chun Yu, if you keep hesitating, I’ll ask Grandfather to replace you with another maid tomorrow. Just stay inside and don’t cause trouble." 0

With that, Yun Jiu strode out of the house without looking back. 0

Chun Yu stood at the doorway, watching her mistress's figure disappear into the rain, feeling both worried and wronged. She pouted, not daring to say anything more, and turned back inside. 0

Yun Jiu stood in the center of the courtyard, looking up at the sky with anticipation. She was waiting for the lightning to strike her. 0

Boom! Boom! After a few rumbling sounds of thunder, a silver flash of lightning streaked across the sky. However, it did not strike Yun Jiu. 0

Frowning slightly, Yun Jiu waited a bit longer. Another silver bolt came down but still missed her. 0

Growing anxious, Yun Jiu blinked rapidly, cleared her throat a couple of times, and then began to recite passionately: "Ah, on this vast earth lies a foolish one... no, a brave young girl! Let the storm come even fiercer! Let the lightning strike me!" 0

Inside the house, Chun Yu turned pale upon hearing her mistress's recital. This was it; surely her mistress had lost her mind! How had she not noticed such strange behavior before? 0

It was unclear whether it was Yun Jiu's recitation that had an effect or if it was simply fate, but a crooked purple lightning bolt indeed struck towards Yun Jiu. 0

Yun Jiu was blissfully knocked out by the strike! 0

Just as the spring rain in the room was about to rush out to check on her young lady, Yun Jiu sprang up, laughing joyfully, "Great! Great! I guessed right! Hahaha! Dear little lightning, come to sister! Sister will treat you gently!" 0

Unfortunately, despite Yun Jiu's enthusiastic pleas, the sky continued to rumble with thunder and lightning, yet no more bolts struck her. Yun Jiu was furious! She refused to believe that she couldn't summon more lightning! 0

She dashed into the house, grabbed a copper basin for washing her face, and placed it on her head before rushing back outside. She swiftly climbed up a tree in the yard and tied herself to it with her belt. Waving the copper basin with all her might, she thought smugly: Hmph! Look at me! I'm now a human lightning rod! Let's see if you dare strike me again! 0

Sure enough, a silver bolt of lightning came crashing down towards Yun Jiu. She got her wish and was knocked out once more. However, since she was tied up with her belt, she did not fall to the ground. In just a few moments, Yun Jiu regained consciousness. Looking proudly at her achievement, she burst into laughter, "Haha! This baby is so clever! This Lightning Power comes so easily! In no time, I’ll cultivate an unparalleled skill! Hahaha! My chance to dominate the continent has arrived!" 0

Hidden in the shadows, Dark Wind watched this scene in utter bewilderment. This girl was too much of a handful! It was one thing to cause trouble during the day, but why was she out at night trying to get struck by lightning? Was she crazy?! Should he tell Master about this? What kind of madwoman needed his protection?! But then again, this girl seemed remarkably resilient; she could recover from being struck by lightning in just a few moments—how strange! 0

Suddenly, it seemed as if the dark sky had been split open by a crack, and a purple thunderbolt as thick as a bowl came crashing down. Yun Jiu widened her eyes at the incoming thunderbolt and smiled with an eerie grin: "Come on! Let sister see just how powerful you are!" With that, she spread her arms wide to welcome the thunderbolt's arrival. 0
