When Jingxuan and Ruoxi returned to their seats after ordering, they found Cai Ying and Xiao Ri already waiting there. Ruoxi was holding the fried rice she had just ordered and, seeing the two already seated, jokingly said, "Oh, you two finished your match already!"
Xiao Ri immediately responded, "Of course, online matches don't cost anything." Her tone conveyed playfulness and joy.
Cai Ying responded to the comment with a feigned indifference, saying, "So lame, why doesn't the person who tells such cold jokes just go die!" But there was a barely noticeable smile at the corner of her mouth.
This sudden "argument" made the atmosphere more lively, and the two of them began to banter with each other again, as if this kind of teasing had become a daily interaction pattern between them.
Jingxuan gently picked up her sandwich, smiling in an attempt to ease the tension: "Alright, alright, let's not make a scene. There are so many people outside, we need to be mindful of our influence." Her voice was filled with gentleness and understanding.
In the end, all four of them laughed and began to enjoy their dinners. The bustling atmosphere of the student cafeteria intertwined with their laughter, creating a warm and joyful ambiance.
Xiao Ri and Cai Ying bought hot and fresh oden from the stall and returned to the table where the four of them sat around, tasting their respective dinners and discussing their course plans for the next semester.
Ruoxi curiously asked, "Apart from the required courses, what other classes did you all choose for this semester?" She asked eagerly while eating fried rice.
Xiao Ri was nibbling on some oden and mumbled, "I've chosen two elective courses this semester, one is modern poetry, and the other is Zhuangzi." Her eyes revealed her anticipation for the new semester's courses.
Cai Ying responded more calmly, "I've signed up for a multimedia design and application course, it seems quite interesting." Her tone carried a hint of interest in learning new skills.
Jingxuan then said in a soft voice, "I chose a general education class called 'Observation of Local Communities,' and I think I will learn a lot about community development and culture." Her voice carried a hint of anticipation and curiosity.
Upon hearing Jingxuan's response, Ruoxi excitedly clapped her hands and exclaimed, "Wow, Jingxuan! I also chose that class! It looks like we can take the class together this semester!" Her voice was filled with excitement and anticipation.

Xiao Ri, Cai Ying, and Jingxuan looked at each other, nodded, and said at the same time, "Yeah! Very Ruoxi." This kind of teasing made Ruoxi appear somewhat helpless, and she pretended to glare at them angrily.
Seeing this, Ruoxi turned to Jingxuan and asked her to explain the specifics of the class. Jingxuan smiled as she set down her sandwich and patiently explained, "This class is mainly about community studies. We need to go to Cuigu Town to conduct community surveys and field observations to understand the local social culture and development situation."
After hearing this explanation, Ruoxi looked slightly surprised and said, "Ah, that sounds quite troublesome!" Her brows furrowed slightly as she seemed to contemplate the challenges this course would bring her.

Back in the dormitory, the enthusiasm for the new semester drove them to start busily organizing the room. They cooperated with each other, putting scattered books, clothes, and other daily necessities back in their places. Jingxuan was in charge of organizing the bookshelf, arranging the books in order by category and size; Xiao Ri was busy organizing the clothes, neatly folding the clean laundry; Cai Ying was responsible for cleaning the common area, wiping the table spotlessly clean; and Ruoxi moved around, helping everyone with miscellaneous organizing tasks.
During the tidying process, they exchanged topics from time to time, discussing plans and expectations for the new semester. After finishing the tidying, everyone felt a sense of accomplishment and joy, looking forward to the new semester with hope and anticipation.
Later, the four took turns to shower and wash up. The sound of water in the bathroom mingled with their laughter, creating a warm atmosphere. The fatigue of the day seemed to dissipate with the flow of water, and their mood became more relaxed and comfortable.
After taking a shower, they returned to the dormitory and fell into a brief silence. Each person sat on their own bed, either reading or organizing their belongings, enjoying this rare moment of tranquility. The indoor lighting was soft, and the night sky outside the window was vast and deep, creating a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
Ruoxi broke the silence, saying softly, "Today was really fun. I feel like the new semester is going to be great!" Her words revealed optimism and anticipation for the future.
Xiao Ri stretched and responded, "Yes, I'm also looking forward to the new semester's courses, especially the one on modern poetry."
Cai Ying lifted their head from the bed and said with a faint smile, "I hope we can all learn more, not just from books."
Jingxuan nodded and added, "We also need to remember to enjoy our college life, not just studying, right?"
