I knelt in the snow, crying my heart out: "Han Weiting, you fool, you must not be in any trouble!"
"You idiot, liar! If anything happens to you, I will never forgive you for the rest of my life!"
"Han Weiting, you jerk, where on earth are you?"
"Hey, Nuan Nuan, I'm right here!"
Han Weiting's voice came from a distance. I looked up and saw him standing not far away.
He was wrapped in a rainbow scarf; although he looked quite ridiculous, his eyes were filled with affection.
I broke into a smile and ran towards him, throwing my arms around him.
He stroked my head and said with a laugh, "I told you some things come true easily. See? I'm perfectly fine now!"
I playfully punched him as we held hands and walked towards the beautiful snowy landscape.
"Sister Nuan Nuan, do you remember everything now?"
Outside the hospital room, Han Xiaotian leaned against the wall with her arms crossed, watching me.
"Yes."
"Then you should remember that we used to be best friends," Han Xiaotian said with a hint of mockery in her tone.
"Don't worry; this matter has nothing to do with you. I know you weren't involved," I replied coldly, looking at her.
"Hmph, you're really good at making excuses for me. But..." Han Xiaotian sneered, "don't forget that my brother got hurt because of someone."
I pushed open the door and looked at Han Weiting on the hospital bed.
"And also, my brother married you four years ago."
I stared blankly at Han Weiting as tears streamed down my face.
"Han Weiting, please get up and tell me it's true."
"Tell me I'm not Xu Mingxing or Guo Liancheng; I'm just Lin Nuannuan."
"Get up and tell me that I am worthy of your love."
Late at night, I leaned by the bedside, carefully studying Han Weiting's features.
"Han Weiting, you are truly handsome."
"Do you know? You look a lot like Daniel Wu, my dream lover from my teenage years."
I leaned over the edge of the bed and unknowingly fell asleep.
In my daze, I dreamed that Han Weiting was walking towards me. He cupped my face and kissed me.
In the dream, I closed my eyes and responded to his kiss.
In reality, I kept my eyes closed and kissed Han Weiting's lips.
I was about to pull away when Han Weiting held the back of my head, deepening the kiss.
I suddenly opened my eyes, and Han Weiting did too.
Our eyes met, and I instantly felt my face flush.
"Um, I... I didn't mean to."
Han Weiting smiled as he released me, his eyes filled with affection. "It's okay, I don't mind."
I lowered my head, embarrassed to look at him. "How did you wake up so quickly?"
"Because you kissed me," Han Weiting replied with a laugh.
"Huh?" I looked at him in confusion.
"I felt your kiss, so I tried hard to wake myself up."
Han Weiting reached out to stroke my face. "Nuan Nuan, I won't allow you to bear all of this alone."
My nose tinged with sadness, and tears streamed down my face.
"Han Weiting, I'm a dirty girl; I don't deserve you treating me this way."
"I have long stood in hell, surrounded by darkness; I don't deserve your love."
"Nuan Nuan, don't say such things about yourself," Han Weiting said as he pulled me into his arms, gently patting my back.
"Those who bullied you in the past have received their due punishment."
"In my heart, Nuan Nuan will always be the purest and best girl."
Han Weiting wiped away my tears softly and said, "Nuan Nuan, let's face this together, okay?"
It was during our sophomore year of high school.
I had a fight with Han Weiting over a trivial matter. He was lying on the school lawn, bored, staring at the blue sky and white clouds.
"How annoying," he said.
He took out his phone and sent me a message.
" Lin Nuannuan, let's make up."
After waiting for a few minutes without a reply, Han Weiting grew more frustrated and sent another message.
" Lin Nuannuan, do you want to make up or not?"
Still no response.
Han Weiting, irritated, scratched his head and called me directly, but I hung up on him.
Fuming, he stuffed his phone into his pocket. Just then, the sound of an ambulance suddenly came from outside the school gate.
Han Weiting ran with the crowd to the gate, but by the time he got there, the ambulance had already left. He quickly opened his phone to tell me about it, only to find two unsent messages.
