Joker Elder wore a meaningful smile as he turned to face Hel, his tone teasing, "I must say, old friend, your move is quite bold. Aren't you afraid of scaring those old-timers in the academy by revealing this kid's identity?"
Hel responded without looking up from the documents on the table, "They will find out sooner or later. The earlier we make it public, the more pressure it puts on him, preventing him from being idle all day."
"Pressure? I think you just want him to become a target," Joker Elder said as he walked over to Hel, poured himself a cup of tea from the teapot on the table, took a sip, and continued, "The identity of the Son of the War God is not something to take lightly; those old folks are watching closely."
"So what? I believe this kid won't let us down," Hel replied firmly, confidence shining in his eyes.
Joker Elder set down his teacup with a light sigh. "Let's hope so."
Meanwhile, the chubby boy was walking back to his dormitory with a bewildered expression.
"Son of the War God? Me?" He slapped his cheeks hard, trying to wake himself up. "How is that even possible?"
The chubby boy had always been an ordinary Noble Scion. Although he was somewhat overweight, he had never lacked for food or clothing. He had never imagined he would be associated with any war god.
"Could it be that I was adopted?" A ridiculous thought suddenly popped into his mind but was quickly dismissed.
"Impossible. I look exactly like my father; how could I not be his biological child?" He shook his head, casting aside that unrealistic notion.
"But if I'm not his biological child, why would Lord Hel say I'm the Son of the War God?" The chubby boy was perplexed; he felt as if he had been caught up in a huge conspiracy while remaining completely unaware.
The more he thought about it, the more his head hurt. He decided to stop pondering over it since Lord Hel would tell him everything tomorrow anyway.
"Maybe I should just go take a shower and get some sleep first," the Fat Guy muttered to himself. Right now, all he wanted was a good night's sleep, hoping that when he woke up tomorrow, everything would return to normal.
Early the next morning, the Fat Guy was awakened by a loud knocking on the door.
"Fat Guy, get up!" came Hel's booming voice from outside. "Training starts today!"
Rubbing his sleepy eyes, the Fat Guy reluctantly got out of bed. After getting dressed, he opened the door.
Outside, Hel had been waiting for a while. He was dressed in a black athletic outfit that showcased his muscular physique perfectly.
"Good morning, Lord Hel," the Fat Guy yawned and greeted him.
"Mm," Hel nodded slightly before turning to head toward the training ground. "Follow me."
The Fat Guy hurried to keep up with Hel's pace as they made their way to the training ground.
By the time they arrived, several students had already gathered at the training ground. They were buzzing with conversation, occasionally glancing at the Fat Guy with looks of curiosity and surprise.
"Is that really the Son of the War God?"
"He doesn't look that special."
"I heard he just awakened his bloodline power yesterday; I wonder what his strength is like."
"Cut it out. Even if he awakens his bloodline power, he could never be a match for Prince Pifu."
...
The chubby boy felt a bit nervous upon hearing the discussions around him, instinctively clenching his fists.
Hel stopped in his tracks, turned to face the chubby boy, and said in a deep voice, "Don't pay attention to them; just focus on yourself."
"Yes!" The chubby boy took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
"Today, I will publicly announce your identity and declare that you will represent the academy in the inter-academy exchange competition three months from now." Hel's tone was serious, his gaze piercing as he stared at the chubby boy. "Do you have confidence?"
"I..." The chubby boy hesitated, unsure if he could bear this responsibility.
"Look into my eyes and tell me, do you have confidence?" Hel raised his voice slightly.
The chubby boy met Hel's gaze, his expression gradually becoming resolute. "Yes!"
"Very good!" Hel nodded in satisfaction, then turned to face the crowd and announced loudly, "From today onward, the chubby boy will officially become my disciple and represent the academy in the inter-academy exchange competition three months from now!"
Hel's voice echoed like thunder across the training ground, lingering in the air for a long time.
