I countered, "Whose food will I eat? Brother, your thinking is really too backward."
He became a bit impatient and said, "Ning Ning, why don't you listen to my advice? Look at your sister-in-law; she couldn't find a good job because she lacks education, so she married me. She's so happy!"
I chuckled and replied, "Brother, if your sister-in-law hears this, she might cause a scene."
He paused in confusion and asked, "Why would she cause a scene?"
I explained, "Think about it: your sister-in-law has no education or skills and could only marry you; of course she's happy. But I'm different. I have education and qualifications with a bright future ahead of me. Why would I give up my job to return to the family?"
My brother was momentarily speechless: "Well..."
I continued, "Besides, if all girls stayed home to take care of the family, what would the country need us for?"

I laughed and said, "So after all this talk, you just want me to come home, right?"
He admitted, "Yes, hurry back home; don't stay out any longer."
I smirked sarcastically and asked, "Why should I go back?"
He said, "Ning Ning, stop messing around. Just listen to me this once; come home obediently. I've found a good match for you."
I questioned him back, "What good match?"
My brother replied, "The other party is willing to offer a dowry of three hundred thousand, as long as you agree to marry him. After that, you'll be living a life of comfort."
I chuckled, "Brother, are you selling me off?"
He said, "How can you call it selling? I'm doing this for your own good. The other family is well-off; once you marry into them, you won't have to work as hard as you do now."
I laughed, "Brother, is the other party really that great? Then why haven't they gotten married yet? Why are you pushing me to marry him?"
My brother was at a loss for words: "Well..."
