So, when Lin Feng put down the clothes in his hands, he couldn't help but pause; this... scene seemed quite something.
Seeing that Dong Jie had already fainted, Lin Feng had no choice but to pick her up and cover her with his own clothes, as he would need to switch souls soon. He couldn't let that old fellow Tesla take advantage of the situation.

"Got it." Lin Feng replied casually, still looking at Dong Jie, whose face was serene yet beautiful as she slept. The fire had already started, and their clothes were almost dry. Lin Feng would not let Dong Jie suffer from the Wind Cold again.
"What kind of person are you? Others invite a doctor and even see them off with gratitude, but you, after using the doctor, just kick him out of the house. Do you understand what manners are?" Tesla complained, clearly annoyed by Lin Feng's treatment of him.
Lin Feng ignored him. He knew that Tesla was just bored and liked to banter with him; it was the only form of entertainment he had while trapped in the magic ring. If Lin Feng didn't engage, Tesla would soon quiet down.
This was something Lin Feng and Tesla had long gotten used to.

"Hmm... Lin Feng, what happened to me?" After a while, Dong Jie woke up again and looked at Lin Feng, who was holding her, in confusion.
"Nothing. You were just too tired and fell asleep for a bit." Lin Feng didn't tell Dong Jie about her fainting; the problem had already been resolved. Once they got out of the forest, he would give her some medicine. There was no need for Dong Jie to worry about it.
"Oh... ah!" Hearing Lin Feng's words, Dong Jie instinctively tried to open her clothes. It was a habit, much like how people pull off their blankets when getting out of bed. However, at that moment, she was completely unclothed. As she pulled away the clothes Lin Feng had draped over her, he felt a sudden flash of brightness; he had inadvertently caught sight of what lay before her.

"Lin Feng..." Dong Jie hurriedly covered herself again and then remembered that she had fainted earlier. Initially, they could have both felt awkward in silence; however, his words made the awkwardness explicit.
"Jie Jie... I..." Lin Feng wanted to continue explaining but was quickly interrupted by Dong Jie.
"Lin Feng, it was just an accident; open your eyes now." Being a few years older than Lin Feng, Dong Jie quickly regained her composure and calmly told him.
"Oh." Although Lin Feng's mental age was similar to Dong Jie's, this situation was indeed a first for him. Hearing her say that made him promptly open his eyes as instructed.
"Can you find something for me to cushion underneath? I feel uncomfortable." Dong Jie said to Lin Feng again.
Lin Feng realized that he had been too anxious earlier and forgot to find something to cushion Dong Jie's back. Now, Dong Jie was lying directly on the hard ground without any clothing on her back, no wonder she felt uncomfortable.
"Oh," Lin Feng replied, quickly grabbing a piece of clothing to place under Dong Jie. While doing so, he inevitably touched the skin on her back, causing ripples of emotion within him.
Dong Jie also felt Lin Feng's large hand occasionally brushing against her back, but she understood it wasn't intentional, so she chose not to address it.
"Um, just hold me like this, okay?" After Lin Feng had placed the clothing, Dong Jie spoke again, her voice still calm.
"Okay." At that moment, how could Lin Feng say "no"? He tightened his embrace around Dong Jie.
They exchanged a few casual words, which made the atmosphere quite pleasant.
Watching Dong Jie's lips move occasionally, Lin Feng suddenly felt a surge of impulse. Before he realized it, he found himself asking, "Sister Jie, can I kiss you?"
