The movements were neat and swift, which was a true reflection of the elite intelligence team of the Wu Family.
Soon, they arrived at the Study of the Wu Old Master. There, apart from the Wu Old Master, anyone else wishing to enter had to obtain his approval. If someone were to barge in without permission, it would be considered a betrayal of the Wu Family and would be punished accordingly.

"How is the investigation going?" asked the Wu Old Master, having concluded his conversation with Wu Yanran.
Earlier, Wu Yanran had been summoned by the Wu Old Master because he knew that this team would come to report on their investigation regarding Lin Feng.
"We have completed the investigation; here is Lin Feng's information," said the leader, fully aware that the investigation referred to Lin Feng. He presented their findings with both hands.
Wu Yanran naturally assisted his Grandpa by taking over the investigation report and handing it to the Wu Old Master for review.
The Wu Old Master slowly examined each page with great care, while Wu Yanran watched from behind. The Study was silent; those intelligence team members dared not disturb the Wu Old Master as he reviewed the report.
"Is that all?" The more he read, the more surprised he became. Just a month ago, Lin Feng was an obedient young man with good academic performance, having been accepted into a decent university.
However, apart from that, the Wu Old Master was unaware of any other remarkable traits about Lin Feng.
"What do you think?" Wu Old Master turned to look at his granddaughter and asked.
"I can't see through him," Wu Yanran replied, her lips slightly parted as she expressed her evaluation of Lin Feng in three words.
"And you?" Wu Old Master was not surprised by his granddaughter's answer; instead, he shifted his gaze to the leader of the group and inquired.
"I can't see through him either," the leader answered directly without hesitation. He had already reviewed the information multiple times but still couldn't find anything extraordinary about Lin Feng; he seemed like an ordinary young man.
In fact, he even doubted whether Wu Old Master's investigation target was correct, but he dared not voice this thought. In the Wu Family, only three people could directly say that Wu Old Master was wrong: one was Wu Old Master's wife, who was also Wu Yanran's grandmother, but she had already passed away.
The other two were Wu Old Master's precious granddaughter, Wu Yanran, and Uncle Bing. No one knew when Uncle Bing started following Grandpa, but everyone in the Wu Family knew that although Uncle Bing was nominally the family steward, his prestige within the family was hardly less than that of Wu Old Master's son.
Of course, Uncle Bing had always been low-key; when he encountered Wu Old Master's son, he would respectfully address him as "Young Master," never flaunting his seniority. Thus, everyone in the Wu Family respected him greatly.
"Alright, I understand. Keep monitoring this person, but be careful not to let him notice you. Also, do not disturb his life. Furthermore, protect him well; if anything happens to him, I will hold you responsible," Wu Old Master said after they had reported enough. He waved his hand and instructed the leader of the intelligence team.
"Understood." The response was crisp and efficient as the group quickly left Wu Old Master's study. The last person closed the study door behind them.
"Yan'er, how do you think we should contact Lin Feng?" Since they couldn't uncover anything through investigation, Wu Old Master naturally needed to think of other ways to reach Lin Feng.
Contacting Lin Feng was simple; although the intelligence team hadn't found any substantial information, they had managed to obtain Lin Feng's phone number and could just call him directly.
However, this was not the kind of contact Wu Old Master meant. Of course, Wu Yanran understood that her grandpa's question was not straightforward.
"I only have a vague idea, but I know we should lure him out," Wu Yanran said thoughtfully as she looked at Wu Old Master.
"Haha... Everyone says Yan'er only understands jade and stone, and doesn't know how to navigate the world. But now it seems that Yan'er is not as the rumors suggest," Wu Old Master said humorously, without directly commenting on whether Wu Yanran's method was feasible.
"Grandpa, I just don't want to get involved in those schemes. Who says I don't understand these things?" Wu Yanran blushed at Grandpa's words and replied.
"If you don't want to get involved in schemes, then why are you so concerned about Lin Feng? You're even planning a little setup to draw him out? Are you interested in him?" Wu Old Master teased again, seeming much more cheerful after hearing news about that person. Usually, Wu Old Master rarely joked with others; even when he playfully teased his granddaughter, he kept it brief and had never been this lighthearted before.
"Grandpa, are you happy? What if—I'm just saying what if..." Wu Yanran noticed that Grandpa seemed to be in a good mood today, but it made her worried. She knew that Grandpa was happy because he finally had news about that person, but what if that person wasn't Lin Feng? What if it was just her own illusion? Wouldn't that leave Grandpa very disappointed?
However, before she could finish her thought, Wu Old Master waved his hand and said, "I truly believe this person is very likely to be Lin Feng. You don't need to say more; I know what you're thinking and understand your concerns. I've spent my whole life searching for this person. Do you know why I must find him?"
For a moment, Wu Old Master looked a bit melancholic, as if he wanted to share something with his granddaughter.
"Why? Grandpa," Wu Yanran had long harbored this question. But since Wu Old Master didn't speak up, she felt it inappropriate to pry further. Now that she sensed he might want to share, she naturally wanted to know the answer that had troubled her for so many years.
"Because... never mind. Once we find him, you'll naturally understand. Just as you suggested, I'm planning to hold a Gambling Stone Conference. I hope Lin Feng can make an appearance," Wu Old Master hesitated but ultimately decided not to reveal more, leaving a sense of mystery while clearly agreeing with his granddaughter's suggestion.

Besides, once the conference is held, our Wu Family will be back in the public eye. Grandpa, haven't you always taught us not to stand out and to keep a low profile?" Wu Yanran was surprised and puzzled that her grandfather would host a Gambling Stone Conference for Lin Feng.
"Yan'er, you don't understand. If Lin Feng is indeed that person, then exposing the Wu Family is worth it. Even if the family becomes prominent because of it, I wouldn't mind. You have no idea how important this person is to our Wu Family. Sigh... Enough about that. Keep an eye on Lin Feng, and bring your Uncle Bing in; I need to arrange some matters for him," Wu Old Master said earnestly to Wu Yanran, but in the end, he refrained from revealing his true thoughts.
"Grandpa... I..." Wu Yanran wanted to ask more questions, but by then, Wu Old Master had already sat back down in his chair and closed his eyes as if pretending to nap. Clearly, he didn't want to continue talking with her and would not answer her questions anymore.
"Grandpa, you..." Seeing this situation, Wu Yanran realized her grandfather's decision and could only stomp her foot in frustration before leaving. Yet her curiosity about this person's importance to the family only grew stronger.
Once Wu Yanran left the study, Wu Old Master opened his eyes again and gazed at the door, muttering to himself: "The Wu Family is not truly that powerful. If we can't find that person, the family will begin its decline."
It is evident that the Wu Family is not invincible; at least, the Wu Old Master has his own concerns.
Not to mention that the Wu Family is currently in chaos due to Lin Feng's appearance, Lin Feng, who has generated Internal Energy, is now on his way back to City B, a mid-level city, along with Dong Jie and Chen Xinni.
Chen Sheng cannot leave just yet as he still needs to handle the shop that the Qian Family transferred to Lin Feng.
